I have a few questions about Amrit Vela.

Firstly i have problems with tiredness. I can get up and i have a shower, with cold water. But as soon as i come to start Simran, after 10 minutes i start falling asleep. I dont know what to do. Aslo does anyone know of any good stretches to do before Amrit Vela?

Thanks

Why are you using cold water? :s

Go to sleep, say 11/11.30 that gives you enough time to sleep well. If you're like me then 4 hours alone would suffice. Why do you need to stretch?

Go to sleep 10 hrs before your amritvela time. Once you are on roll then bring sleep time to 9 hrs and then to 8 hrs. This trick helped me in the past :)

This is very good advice, I do a lot of running and I need to be up early and do at least 5 to 6 miles before work. This technique really helped in the past.

I had the same problem, recently it's been easier getting up tho. If you want to get up for amritvela then I think 11/1130 like someone else suggested is too late. I try and get into bed for 930/10 .

Try and avoid going back to sleep afterwards aswell, if you do this you will be slighty more tired thereby making if easier for you to go to sleep earlier the same night.

Good luck on your Amrit vela goals for 2011 OP
