You're probably right. I feared that too. Guess its best to stay away from muslim countries then. Mind you, certain parts of Turkey are not that religious at all. In fact, alot of Turks pride themselves in being modern and more westernised than other muslims. Problem is, they have not heard of Sikhs and the majority of them think we are muslims, lol. I just came back from holiday there.

Yes i agree with this also, Turkey and even morocco are seen as more westernised and less islamism when compared with countries like yemen, saudi arabia.

Yes some muslim countries are ok for vacation, but me personally i would rather visit a non muslim country

LOL bro you must be joking right??..what is the benefit of a sikh moveing back to india?..all the sikhs in india want to get the hell out ...lol....me personally will never even consider moving back to punjab till the sikhs get their own indpendance..i think most sikhs feel that way...please correct me if you disagree...

true, but the only good reason I see moving to India is to move closer to the historical Gurdwaras. Just doing darshan of historical Gurdwaras feels like one is in heaven. Plus, I think as western Sikhs should see it as their duty to go back to India and do Parchar of Sikhi amongst the Punjabis and non Punjabis. We are a small community compared to Hindus and Muslims and in a so called democracy numbers matter. We need to increase our numbers. Parchar of Sikhi is needed the most today. I for one will want to go to India one day to do parchar.

Egypt - all that will happen is the next government will steal everything, nothing much will change IMHO.
