What does this got to do with Sikhi. The Muslims had a devotional dance and Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj wrote Bani against this dance. By your train of thought Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj is wrong because as you say they are showing love, which has no limit! This has never happened. Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj is not a hypocrite, where in Shabada Guru he would say one thing and then in physical form he would do something else.

if you are looking at this video, then you shoudl also see those videos where in HE told the sangat not to do Matha TEK infront of SGGSJi and give utmost respect to SGGSJI. You should also see those videos also where in HE is telling the sangat not to clap infront SGGSJI. Seeing alone this video and doing Ninda is not good. We should also look at the positive side of this. How many people have been converted to SIkhs.

Just looking at only Negative side of one means the fault is in the person who is perceiving in such a way.

There is a lot of negativity and hand-wringing on this site but I suppose the frustrations of the sangat are a reflection of the situation we find our faith in.

At times it does seem that we are drowning or at least pushing against the tide. I think some people don't even know how to differentiate between friend and foe, and as such eye everyone with suspicion and scrutinise every last syllable uttered by other people.

However in this particular instance I do find dancing and clapping in-front of Guru Ji to be completely inappropriate. I myself do not even have the courage to raise my voice in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. How some people can cavort around as shown in the video is beyond me. Maybe I'm simply not understanding their love for our Guru?

Let me just say that I've personally met the Akal Takhat Jathedar, Gaini Gurbachan Singh. He came to my house for lunch that me and my family prepared and through my conversations with him I found him to be such a nice man, always in Chardi Kala. Great personaility and very humble.
