Gurmat Stance On Gaming.

Would like to hear some feedback from sangat on what the Sikh stance is on online gaming. I know i'm being a bit vague, but just in general what are your thoughts? Is it possible to have a balance and play them or is it best to stay clear. I know once a Sikh reaches a point all these things seem meaningless. Not sure what i'm even asking lol.

it's depend on what type of game you are playing. games are of several types. if you are playing educative and mental exercise games it's ok.But don't indulge in this thing deeply because this will become a maya then.

I don't think there is anything wrong with gaming as it is not real life. For ex: in COD, you are killing virtual enemies not real people.

There is more productive things that we can do...like do we have Sri Chauai Sahib da paat memorized or any paat memorized? When you have nothing to do and your sitting around on the sofa, what is the first thing that comes to your mind. If it's not Sri Waheguru ji Maharaj, then we are very far from Maharaj. His Hukam is only recognized with dedication; till your body aches for him. Plus there is much seva to do in the world. How many sakhis do we have memorized with all the names of the people memorized? The list goes on and on.

playing games where you shoot people and fight wars are good as it strengthens the warrior spirit and conditions our minds for yudh. A good exercise is to do simran loudly whilst playing the shoot em up as it will also develop bir raas.

However, other games such as social type games are a waste of time as they promote kaam and greed.

big massive waste of your time and your great mind which is powerful beyond your limits therefore use it effectiviely
