Getting To God

provide the evidence that states the Bhagat are Muslim and Hindus. Gurbani directly tells us that Bhagat Kabir Ji Maharaj says he is not a Muslim. Satguru Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji Maharaj also says it and provides the evidence that Bhagat Kabir Ji Maharaj also said he is not a Muslim.

People need to do more research and contemplate over Gurbani before labeling great souls as Hindu and Muslim. Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj came from a Hindu family, does that make him a Hindu? Do your research!!!!

you misunderstood me brother. i also said in my post that they condemned the bad practices followed by their respective religion. But if we say only sikhs can go to sachkhand then thats what aurangzeb was trying to do( convert everyone to islam) coz they also say that other religions people are kaafirs. I agree with u that all bhagats were above any religion, they were the roop of God, " Har Harjan Doi Ek Hai". But Baba Fareed Ji says in his sloks " Uth Fareeda Ujoo Saaj Subah Niwaaj Gujaar. Jo Sir Saaeen Na Nivai So Sir Kapp Utaar". And he used to perform Namaaz. I respect ur views and Sikhi is the easiest way Guru Ji showed us to Sachkhand we should be thankful to Guruji that we were born in Sikh Families but we cant say that someone else cannot be there. well the discussion is never going to end. I dont know why are we arguing on this. We should be worried about booking a place for ourselves in sachkhand. Sikhism is really deep and i dont have enough 'Budh' by which i can describe it. my view might be wrong."Kaha Budh Prabh Tuschh Hamaari Barn Sakai Mahima Jo Tihari".

But one thing u all might have noticed that we all(including me) try to cut others views. No two persons can have same views but we try our best to force our views on others, although we know that others views are never going to be changed, because we dont have such jeevans to do so. But our ego comes in our way which compells us to counter others. We think to ourselves that how can another person prove me wrong and as a result we start arguing with them. but this should not happen. We are not folllowing the way to Sachkhand. No doubt there might be many Chardikala Singhs and Singhnis on this Site but i know about my condition. Bhagat Kabeer Ji describes the condition of someone like me" Kaho Kabeer Shooscha Ghat Bolai, Bharia hoye su Kabho Na Dolai". Only the empty vessels make noises. Bhul Chuk Layi Muaafi Deyo Ji . Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

We need to look in Dhan Dhan Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth sahib ji- bhagat di bani to see for ourselves- Vahiguroo/Satguru came in form of sargun saroop puran hari avtars - for bhagats- how bhagats in stages received different types of sargun mukhti (4) in stages and after desire received kaival mukhti.

First i totally agree, Sant gyani gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale maha anand sagar katha of sri guru granth sahib ji katha should be offically declare an reference point in order to learn traditional Sikhi in the panth.

The problem is not with katha of sri guru granth sahib ji but the problem is actual listeners or readers who are trying to interpret gurbani, you have two extremes- protestant thought and sanatan thought propagated by some nihangs of uk (sikh hippy liberals).

Both extremes look at Gurbani not its totality but rather look at shabad, take them out of context to prove their thoughts or silly little flame wars.

I will give an very simple example of how their thought process function for eg- regarding subject of sargun hari avtars- position are held for or against (puran hari avtars- krishan and ram chandar ji).

Here is how their thought process:

Protestant thought: When it comes to puran hari avtars, they only see the glass- half empty (totaly ignore half full)

Sanantan Thought (Sikh hippy liberals): When it comes to puran hari avtars, they only see the glass - half full (totally ignore half empty part)

Actual Gurmat thought:

When it comes to puran hari avtars, actual gurmat shows full view of glass (half empty and half full).

Actual gurmat ways is to go through each shabad in gurbani, bhai gurdas ji varan, sri dasam granth, sri sarbloh granth where it talks about avtars- a) go through uthanka of each shabd b) bhav arth of each shabad c) antriv arth of each shabad and then position held in each shabad. Position held in each shabad for puran hari avtars is different cannot be applied across the board- overall position in Gurmat.

After noting down all- position held in each shabad regarding puran hari avtars, anayalizing them then scholar can present with all their work- overall position in Gurmat regarding puran hari avtars that our bhagats consider sargun saroop of Vahiguroo himself..!!!!!!!!!

So far, all the gyani samparda, nirmale and taksal upsamparda's, sevapanthis etc have all unanimously agreed - krishan maharaj is in sachkhand and vahiguroo ji came in sargun saroop of krishan and ram chand maharaj for its bhagats (bhagats in sri guru granth sahib ji) , so they came in this conclusion after studying each position held in each shabad than after carefully analyzing each position held in various shabad regarding puran hari avtars- affirm an overall position held in Gurmat..

It's not job of sant gyani gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale or any other mahapursh or teekakar to tell overall position held on various deep theological concept found in Gurmat but rather onus is on students to start making notes and study of them when they listen to gurbani lareevar katha of dhan dhan dhan sri guru granth sahib ji maharaj.

This seeing of full glass in its totality is not limited to complicated topics of avtars and Gurmat, but deep theological concept of sargun and nirgun and its upasana in Gurbani as well.

Personally speaking, i used to quote gurbani a lot to prove traditional gurmat thought in the past and sometimes get in heated debates (my own silliness). But I have stopped quoting from gurbani now in discussion as Gurbani is Agad Bodh very serene and divine to be engaged in debates..now at spare time, i m more inclined towards knowing- guru maharaj position held in each shabad..if position held from one shabad to another shabad are different on same subjects then affirm overall position by making notes and carefully anyalizing each shabad and position held in each shabad on various complicated concepts found in gurbani - sargun and nirgun form of Vahiguroo, sargun and nirgun devotion, shabad, naam and avtars in gurmat, bhagti, bhram gyan, atma-paratma etc.

It's best to discuss these complicated topics through theology as opposed to posting one or two lines from gurbani to prove your point as we may un-intentionly might be doing beadhi of gurbani of taking out of context.

N30 bhai sahib,

I don't know if you are genuinly misguided or an indian agent trying to promote certain hindu ideoligies. Anyone, who manages to disprove your hindu natured points through gurbani, ithaas or just simple sikhi logic/reasoning you either label them as hindu phobic or new age whatever. As a so called sikh of the guru have more maan of your guru sahib (assuming the one and only satguru is really your one and only guru). You like to bring up the phrase "bhasuari mindset" alot whereas I could also start topics "warning" people against vendat hindu mindset which you love to say is really universal mindset. Bhausauri was a sikh who went over the top and let his limited mind over take him and as such commited great mistakes by rejecting bhagat bani and whatever else he did. Other gursikhs relied on gurmat sidhaants and scholarly works to make decisions on sikh matters, so don't make the mistakes of putting them in the category of bhasauri. Also Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh, who bowed his head to authority of khalsa panth, refused to meet bhasuria and told him he must first ask for forgiveness from akal takth.

I love Sant Gurbachan Singh because despite learning about other religious topics particularly vedant, he never let that overtake gurmat principles and people such as yourself will never truly accept Sant ji's bachans and will rather follow other samprada gyanis who had less knowledge and less kmayee to put it frankly. My thoughts are inline with bhai sahib Randhir Singh, but Sant ji truly was a great gursikh gem who always did ustat only of guru sahib and kept the guru's rehit, where as other "sants" seem to think they know better then Guru Gobind Singh and think rehit is optional.

Know this brother only an amritdhari may get to sachkhand. Who do you think oragnised the first amrit sanchar? It wasn't Guru Gobind Singh my friend, it was sri Guru Nanak Dev! Yes! in the form of charan pahul. 10th guru ji had to change marada as per divine will considering gurgadi was going to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. So those who want to be sikhs only of our 1st guru then fine. but wait...there's a problem - Guru Nanak's physical body isn't here to give charan pahul anymore so sadly they cannot become sikhs that way. Only option now is to take khande pahul. Stop your brainwashing attempts on sangat. Let us keep our full faith, acceptance and pride in our one and only guru and leave us alone. Fair enough sangat doesn't need to follow akj or new age taksal rehat as you like to call it, but let us keep our basic gurmat principles intact.

Other religions:

Why tell lies and be so chalaak(cleverness). Noone says they will go to hell! they can reach the points which their religions aim for, but not any further. Without gurprasad noone did and none will ever realise akal purakh and reach highest avastha. You can call whatever sufi brhamgyani, but the gurmat brahmgyani avstha (as written in gurbani - I know you have allergy to the word "gurmat") is only realised through the guru.

The sants your thinking of cannot have reached the real gurmat sackhand. They've had some other mystical wonderous experience and mistaked it for sachkhand. This is common problem amongst sants. Thats why they think krishan is in sackhand. Why do you ignore Guru Nanak Dev in favour of your human sant gurus? There's a difference between having a role model and checking their vichaar with gurbani all the time to make sure they are inline with gurmat and its another thing to ignore guru sahib and blindly believe in your mahapurash. I challenge you to present recording of Sant Gurbachan Singh ji saying krishna reached the sachkhand which gurbani mentions. You'll find the opposite. kyqy pvx pwxI vYsMqr kyqy kwn mhys ] kaethae pavan paanee vaisa(n)thar kaethae kaan mehaes ||

So many winds, waters and fires; so many Krishnas and Shivas.

What an insecure post...indian agent..lol i was waiting for that one..even bijla singh, proactive, balpreet singh (singh132), kulbir singh (singhs other side of spectrum) that i have discussed/debated things with them, don't accuse me for being indian agent (we all go along fine)..lol...i tell you why i m here? I have no hidden agenda, I am clearly here and say this openly (non dual khalsa is not afraid of anyone or nor give fear to anyone) to point out protestant, bhausaria and hippie nang snantan mindset which i strongly believe have - super impose its own view on traditional gurmat. I am here to spread traditional gurmat because traditional gurmat and those who follow it have been insulted- de-moralized, de-margalinzed, demonized, robbed and hijacked by list of above that i mentioned.. sant gyani gurbachan singh bhindranwale katha of sri guru granth sahib ji and books by him and his students is and will be my references in order to present - traditional gurmat....take whatever you will.

I challenge you to present recording of Sant Gurbachan Singh ji saying krishna reached the sachkhand

Not sure if there is such recording, but sant hari singh ji randhawale - student of sant gurbachan singh ji bhindranwale are clearly on record saying krishna is in sachkhand, sunny_love_kirtan member on ss has video recorded this bachan can and should provide you the proof..!! you can send your panthic police to sant hari singh ji randhawale when they come next time..!!

When did i say krishan doesnt appear disappear in gyan khand. I by maharaj kirpa myself translated gyani thakur singh ji katha on japji sahib mentioning this.please see bottom...the real question is people who see krishan in gyan khand are confined in khand or what they see in this case krishan- confined in gyan khand? answer is people who are in gyan khand are confined until they make an effort, what they see- in this case krishna are not confined as its sargun saroop darshan. As i said earlier in the other long post. I have quit providing gurbani examples it does not do justice to gurbani agad bodh. In traditional gurmat- after doing uthanka, bhav and antriv arth of each shabad, gyani samparda's study each position held in each shabad in this case sargun hari avtars, than after carefully analyzing each position held in various shabad regarding puran hari avtars-they affirm an overall position held in Gurmat..!!

tape 73 out of 81:

Guru Ji then talks about gian khand in next pauri.

gi-aan khand kaa aakhhu karam.

And now I speak of the realm of spiritual wisdom. In this spiritual realm, holy saints(gian khandi) have full knowledge of everything.

kaytay pavan paanee vaisantar kaytay kaan mahays.

Holy saints can see so many types of winds or gas(paun/pavan), wind deities(pavan devta's) people who use wind(pavan) from their body in their bhagti by taking them into various chakras energy points.

Gyan ji says: people who do accupuncture they have full knowledge about paun so they can easily heal people with their knowledge.

Holy saints can see so many different elements of water(panee) and their secrets.

Holy saints can see so many types of fires(vasantar) some are visible , some are invisible for normal people like us for example- daun agni which spreads around in the jungle and destroys everything, saman agni which stays in the wood always, jatara agni- this agni's is inside us which helps us to digest food, trisna agni- fire of disers, irkha agni- fire of jealously, vishay agni- fire of lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego.

Gyani ji shares an sakhi how once this singh went to his mahapursh to get discourse. Mahapursh told him that you are burning in fire. He said, i cannot realize it.. Mahapursh said, you are suffering from vishey agni, you should do patt otherwise this will burn you.

kaytay kaan mahays.

Person who belong to this realm of knowledge can see soo many krishnas , shiv ji and his 11 incarnations.

Gyan ji shares an sakhi of this singh in bombay. He was quite spiritual. Gyani ji asked him when your gian dristhi open as in when you reached that state of knowledge (gian khand), what did you see. He said, all these deities keep coming do namaskar then they disappear. In this state, you can see other world and it's people which normal people cannot say.

kaytay barmay ghaarhat gharhee-ahi roop rang kay vays.

Person who belong to this realm of knowledge can see so many Brahmas fashioning forms of great beauty, adorned and dressed in many colors.

Middx = N30 bhai sahib, I don't know if you are genuinly misguided or an indian agent trying to promote certain hindu ideoligies.

UK = Middlesex Paji i might occasionally disagree with N30 Paji but he is no Indian or RSS agent. On some threads you might disagree with him but look through some more of his posts ... because I daresay after doing that you will more than likely retract your baseless accusation against him as he is an Amritdhari GurSikh who is passionate about Sikhi. Albeit perhaps a bit on the Sanatani side of the spectrum of our Panth :-)

UK = I agree with you that someone who simply does not believe in Hinduism cannot by extension be acussed of being Hindu-phobic or Bhasauria-minded etc

Middx = Know this brother only an amritdhari may get to sachkhand.

UK = I think it's very sad that you genuinely believe that 99.99% of the global population are excluded from the highest realm of Sachkhand.

UK = No wonder 99.6% of human beings don't even bother to investigate the Truth of Sikhi when they hear such ridiculous statements from us as Sikhs.

The whole idea of receiving this human birth is to go back home, after tried and tested away from the sight of God. In our day today life after staying away from home, we like to go home. our home on earth is not permanent. Our home is where God is and this where we will receive never ending happiness and joy. Gurbani tells us that Kartar( the creator ) dwells in Sachkhand, which is the highest heaven or abode. Gurbani also tells us that very few will make to this abode. Because, every one's desires, pursuits and deeds in this life are different , therefore, they will go to different Khands or places after this life. God loves us and He, with mercy and kirpa and justice. will give us a place we deserve. On this earth we are joining a group or company and we like to associate with that kind of sangat. If you keep company with the true sangat of saints of God , you will have that samgat in the hereafter and so forth.

A Perfect Hope for All from Gurbani

The word of Lord came to me from the celestial world

On high, and

all the worries have been taken away.

The kind Lord (Hair),

has manifested unto me , Nanak , the truth.

What worries us?

All mankind is under the effect of Sin and Death and therefore, are

separated from their God. They can not overcome sin and death by

themselves, and they do not have clear knowledge and understanding

about getting connected to their God. According to the plan of Great

God, the Father of us all, it was necessary for us, His spirit

Children to be separated from our Heavenly parents to come to live on

earth.

You yourself separate the mortals, and You Yourself unite them. ||1||

Here we are separated from God, knowing nothing what went before we

came to this mortal existence, why are we here? What is the purpose of

this life? And where do we go after this life is over? Or is there any

thing after this life at all?

Answers to these puzzling questions can be found in the holy books

which God has provided for us to study and ponder. The words which are

contained in Holy Scriptures are written by holy men of God, who have

seen God and conversed with Him. And these words are given to them as

messages from Him to be imparted to His children. I would urge and

exhort you to study His words and trust in them and believe that God ,

the eternal Father of us all do truly exists, dwells in yonder

heavens, watches over us and wants us to be happy in this life and in

the life to come.

As previously stated that we have no power over sin, death, diseases

and sicknesses and everything which goes along with our life and we

don’t know the way, or in other words, we are lost in this world. But,

because our Heavenly Father loves us, He has provided the way.

He (God) has sent to this earth the perfect Guru or Sat guru, who is

able to help us.

Let us read about this Guru in the Gurbani:

ਗੁਰੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮੈ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਪੰਥੁ ਦਸਾਹਾ ॥

I have met my Beloved Friend, the Guru, who has shown me the Path to the Lord.

O my soul, there is none as great as the Guru is.

Guru knows the way and He is the Way. There is none like Him.

Gur parmesar pārbarahmgurdubḏā la▫e ṯarā▫e. The Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Supreme Lord God. The Guru lifts up and saves those who are drowning.

DEATH IS INEVITABLE.

What is death? Death is separation of body from the spirit. When our

spirit, which is eternal, leaves the body of clay, the body can not

function. No one likes to die; no one likes to get old. But everyone

has to accept the will of the Almighty God. Don’t worry; God has

arranged everything for us. He has sent messages of hope and mercy

through the holy men. We live in a world that is transitory and

fleeting, and nothing is permanent. Here are given more verses from

the gurbani regarding old age and death. They are parts of this mortal

life. All human beings go through the suffering in this life. Gurbani,

the word of the Guru reveals to us that this suffering is only for a

short period of time i.e. as long as one lives in the mortal body.

Consider the following verses from Gurbani:

ਰਾਮੁ ਗਇਓ ਰਾਵਨੁ ਗਇਓ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਬਹੁ ਪਰਵਾਰੁ ॥

Raam Chand passed away, as did Raawan, even though he had lots of relatives.

Says Nanak, nothing lasts forever; the world is like a dream.

Why worry for that which is inevitable?

This is the way of the world, O Nanak; nothing is stable or permanent. ||51||

Whatever has been created shall be destroyed; everyone shall perish,

today or tomorrow.

A PERFECT HOPE FOR ALL HUMAN BEINGS.

They tell us through His words, the Gurbani that the sting of death is

taken out, sicknesses and diseases are cured, getting old is stayed

and all righteous desires of man will be fulfilled in due course of

the Lord.

To understand the messages of the Gurbani, one has to understand that

all that is spoken of in and through the gurbani is to be fulfilled in

the future, i.e. when Kalyuga (time or present condition) will be

ended and Satyug will be ushered in. The popular term used for this

transition is called the end of the world.

When one looks around, one sees that people are subject to sickness,

disease, corruption, death and decay, one wonders what Gurubani is

talking about. Exactly, Gurbani is giving us message or good news

(Manglacharan) from heaven. We need to have Faith and Hope. God loves

us. He has given us hope.

The perfect Guru has redeemed us from old age and death. But, for now

you and I are going to get old and one day we will die. Our spirit

leaves the body and goes to a place called Spirit World or Parlok.

Everybody goes there and there is veil between this world and world of

the departed souls. There is a great example of this fact found in

Gita, when Arjna refuses to fight war against his own relatives. Lord

Krishna, through his power, opens the eyes of Arjana and is shown the

glimpse of the people who depart this life and go to the spirit world.

Only then Arjana is convinced to take up the arms and fight the

battle.

He is at peace in this world, and happy in the next.

When someone dies people mourn and lament the departure of their loved

one in such a way that they show hopelessness and ignorance about the

existence of people hereafter in the next world. It pains me to see

people’s hopelessness and ignorance, yet they go to temples and listen

to the word of the Guru and have no understanding or vision of

hereafter.

Guru has overcome diseases and sickness for all human.

He saves us from the pains of death and birth

He purifies sinners in

an instant, and cures all diseases. ||1||Pause||

The Perfect Guru has shown mercy

to me, and eradicated my pains and illnesses.

Guru has overcome Death and therefore, has provided us with a

perfected and immortal body. This new body will have no more disease

and death and we will live for ever. Read and ponder the following

verses:

O Nanak, those who do not

walk in the ways of sin, shall be exalted in the world hereafter.

They shall never again suffer the pains of

old age and death.

Says Nanak, He alone kills and revives.

Understand this well - do not be

confused by doubt.

This soul and body

all are His. He Himself kills, and brings back to life. ||6||1||13||

The pains of old age

and death shall all depart, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of

the Universe. ||3||

Is not Gurbani wonderful? It is full of nuggets of gold. It is simply

beautiful, and beautifully simple. Our Guru is wonderful. That is why

He is known as waheguru. Which literally means wonderful guru? I

testify in the sacred name of the waheguru that his message in

Gurugranth Sahib is true.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki Fateh.
