Just sharing personal experience and concern.. last week went to taksali singh house with gyani sher singh ji... Host was saying no one is willing to learn bhram vidya anymore. Taksal in punjab are even offering the course in English and punjabi both.

Nice video, very nice graphics, good lyrics as well but don't like the way its sung, whats the new trend of singhs talking/acting like black yo yo like tupac gangasters? yo yo? singh bling bling....they themselves seem to have identity crisis..if they are rasta sure i can understand somewhat but even rasta are not that hyper..they have good soothing music and songs...keep it real guys ..way its sung seem like they are trying to be cool effected by black culture syndrome..I have no problem with black culture promoted, cherished by black themselves but by sikhs seems bit out of place especially when it has no ancestory link....seems like they are just trying to fit or act cool:

N30 ji you are absolutely right, apne think it is cool to be like black, i grew up around black people and descent blacks do not behave like these yo yo types and do not like them either, they are very respectful and friendly people, these singers are only out to make money, the reason for this is that

A, The parcharks have been making it clear that a lot of these singer are to blame for this punjabi/glassy culture.

B, The pakhandis have caused this situation and now decent Gianis are being look at in a negative way.

C, A lot of Gurdwara pardans/committees have also ripped of sangat money for there own benefits over the years.

Best not to follow any baba, but research for yourself , pray and keep sangat of other ordinary/friendly sikhs,

Keep away from the high flyers if you understand my meaning.

There is actually quite a big problem with fake babas in the UK, no offense to genuine bhagats and mahapurshs

Only a lot of them now don’t dress up as or go around like fake babas, we had one here in Smethwick, a builder who was quite a charismatic speaker, managed to extort over £50,000 from innocent people who thought he was spiritually gifted.

I knew this guy and he seemed ok at first just a normal Mr Singh in his 50's who was into Sikhi, seemed to want to help people, and talked about good things like seva, simran, and spirituality. He was attracted to rich families and people in good professions. In the end it turned out he was trying it on with young girls behind everyone’s backs, telling them that union with a spiritually blessed one can help someone’s own spirituality, and arranging meetings at hotels.

What was distinct about this particular individual was that he made a point of ridiculing fake babas and anyone who accepts money for spirituality, which is why he was harder to detect - he seemed to be one of the people who was against holy men and that a lot of them were taking advantage of their gullible followers. He was heard on a few occasions calling himself a sant but in plain clothes and bigging up his own spirituality over others. Taking credit for good things that would happen in people’s lives when they had nothing to do with him and he also had quite a nasty narcissistic complex which meant anyone who disagreed with him or opposed him he would do anything to discredit that person.

This person was called to a meeting in Birmingham and he admitted most of his mistakes the community made sure that this person was well known and agreed to stay away from people’s families and stop his antics. One of the girls suffered quite a bit of mental suffering due to this person’s evil manipulation

the key thing to note is that in almost every incident of fake babas - there is a lot of initial ground building with good ideas concepts and katha - they will speak about the things that will appeal to you - even saying "Besides Guru Granth Sahib ji don’t accept no one" all the while gaining your trust and snaring you in. they know what the sangat wants to hear, so like good salesmen they sell their fake spirituality.

People like what they see and want to believe what they are hearing so they buy into the fantasy that they might have finally met someone that can show me the way. Even when there are gaps in the babas knowledge or things he says are dubious, the followers blinded by their misguided hope, overlook their mistakes. So desperate people have become to end their misery and pain they are willing to try anything or anyone, and while their relief is short lived they almost always walk away bitter, disappointed and worse off.

There are many conmen who do this not just on spirituality but on other aspects of Sikhi aswell, martial arts is a prime example, where young people are sold a fantasy of an alternate reality and they end up thinking everything their teacher says is gospel.

How many times have you heard someone saying “I don’t want to get married” as if they are too spiritually inclined for it, and then end up having to get married due to not being able to control it or end up involved in some sordid sexual controversy.

It is unfortunate and many good decent people have had their hopes and sharda broken due to these evil fakes. It’s too easy to call yourself sant and wear white and people are scared to question that person.

• Never trust anyone with your family, no matter how holy they seem, especially children
• Never give anyone money unless you know where it is going (use good charities like Khalsa aid, sopw, Sikh Helpline, 1984 families)
• Don’t think that just by following a baba your pains will go away, guidance from elders is ok, but ultimately you have to make the journey within yourself.

the problem is that it is not illegal to be a fake baba and extort money from your subjects, and for them to rain money and gifts on that person, but when it comes to them exploiting people for sexual favours or abusing young kids then they need to be stopped and or exposed to safeguard others.

Guru Gobind Singh ji said it best...

“pekh dikhaye jagat ko logan ko bass keen, Ant kaal katee katiyo baas narkh mo leen”

They show a fake persona to the world and gain favour and followers, in the end they will be cut down by death and sent to thell
