Why No Harsh Law In Punjab Against People Who Do Beadbi?

Recommended Posts

Waheguru

I wanted to know why there isnt a really harsh law against anyone who does beadbi of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in punjab since its a majority sikh state? Can we start a petition to do this. I think we can really make this happen.

I totally agree that having a strict law against beadbi of our scriptures and religious culture will prevents cheap thugs like dhundi and company. Will this ever happen in india (law to protect sikhi dharam)? NEVER

If somebody burns a Gutka Sahib, or defiles a Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, or otherwise perpetrates some offensive action against our Dharam, then they should be punished.

But you can't crack down on someone for saying anything. Waheguru, Sikhs are thin-skinned these days. If your faith in Guru Sahib has any vigor or firmness, it shouldn't be shaken by a few nasty comments. Do you think Guru Sahib is quaking with indignation when somebody criticises them, and needs us, pitiful worms that we are in comparison to their radiance, to defend them?

As for the idea of instituting 'harsh laws' against such people, one can only lament the fact that Sikhs are beginning to behave more and more like Islamic fundamentalists.

The simple reason is that India funds anti-Sikh organizations like BJP and RSS, Punjab is trapped within India, and Pakistan Punjab is trapped in Islamic extremist land: Osama Bin Laden was caught in Pakistan.

Balkaar,

Not everyone are strong enough who can digust vulgur name calling against guru sahibs bani and our panthic traditions. People like kala afghana publicily saying that amrit cant even revive a small rat far away doing anything else.

Laws should be made to keep peace in public and that is the point of having strict laws against those who instigate voilence inside gurughars (missionary tola).

I think a petition will certainly bring awerness. My english is not too good. Can someone please write a write up on why we want the punjab government to adapt a much harsher law, so we can spread awerness. waheguru

He said that?!

Sometimes you have to wonder what such people are doing concerning themselves with religious issues. Everyone's entitled an opinion, of course, but with some people you get the impression they want to pry people away from the path, and they actually revel in such mischief. Strange times.

Why don't you kill a rat then and try reviving it with amrit? Or get some mahapursh you follow to do it.

All this anger for what? What did you accomplish by placing doubt on Amrit? The idea is to arise from the current state of mind into the Guru's wisdom. The Guru has never used Amrit as some magical potion and never will in the form of Punj Pyare. The event of 1699 is no show of magic or a miracle. To a blind man the idea of sight is a miracle. Kala afghana has been proven wrong in this very century. Gurbani/Shabad Guru/ Guru Sahib gave a blind man the ability to see. Can he explain this for us or use science? He can't and neither can science. Those who come with knowing little about Guru Sahib will call it a miracle or won't believe it is possible. Yet it is only a perspective and not reality. The reality is held by those who are able to understand the ability of Guru Sahib and why he expresses this ability from time to time that some call miracles or don't believe. To a man who is mostly driven by tamas, the day he gets out of bed early is a miracle. Same goes for a man beat down by addiction. It is not a matter of, if the Guru can revive a rat with Amrit, but why???? The Bani of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji criticizes Krishna for showing off the ability to put a nose ring in a king cobra's nose, who no one else could do. Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj ask Krishna, what has he accomplished by such act? Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji says, Akal Purakh created all and Akal Purakh is in control of creation. Giving us the indication the ability of doing anything is not to be measured by relativity as Akal Purakh is able to do anything. Kala Afghana has taken his own abilities and what science describes as possible by humans or nature and placed it as the benchmark to measure any other action or act in this world. Anything that has taken place in this world, which does not meet his benchmark is classified as of not taking place or is fictitious. Anyone who is a Sikh as defined by Gurbani will say this is absurd. Hence we have many people calling Kala Afghana a complete mor*n. His reasoning is all wrong and I really don't believe he reads Gurbani. What Kala Afghana and supporters want is for some Gurmukh to demonstrate some higher ability, which a normal human cannot do and science says is impossible. No Gurmukh will do this for anyone because they believe in Akal Purakh's ability to do anything. There small act will not solve anything and will provide nothing that Gurbani has already given us. If your whole religious belief is based on whether someone can perform these acts. Then simply type in Buddhist monk self immolation into youtube and watch a Buddhist monk demonstrate the ability which science says can't happen and is above human ability. The Guru-mat is not here to give the unbeliever magic shows. The Guru-mat is here to quiet the mind by telling us what is and giving the ability to experience Gurbani.

The question is simple. Why do you want Punj Pyare to revive a dead rat? The answer is simple because your ego can't handle what is beyond your ability to understand. How do I bring it in my grasp? Bow at the Gurus feet by saying I know nothing, I am nothing and I am here to learn through Gurbani. The tongue will rewrite the blueprint of the mind through Gurbani.

Where have I shown anger? You seem to be telling me not to question anything and just follow. Do you not see a problem in that? In no way am I comparing myself or this situation to that of Guru Nanaks, but had he not started question and just followed, would we really be having this discussion today? And as for why, usually if people claims that are quite extrordinary, people want to see it and have it proven, to say "I cant do it but I wont show you!" is childish in my opinion. Back up your claims. You say the Guru never used Amrit as a magic potion, so do you believe it doesn't have the ability to revive the dead? FYI, I do not believe science knows it all or can explain it all.

Also, you say Kala Afghana supporters want a Gurmukh to show a higher ability, but they will do no such thing. Yet, I often stubmle upon stories of "Mahapurkhs" performing practically miracles and leaving their followers in awe. So this leaves me a bit confused.

As for the topic, there should indeed be some sort of state supported punishments for those who physically harm GGSJ, gutkay, and what not. But, to even go as far as trying to banning speech that is anti-Sikh seems to be going a bit too far, should leave that for any Singh to hand out some classic justice :cool2:

@Akalifauj, reading some of the other stuff he wrote on this forum makes we doubt that he's even Sikh, (from my assumption he could be a closet-Punjabi atheist).
