poor people! (No offense to anyone) seeing the poor areas of some places, many write God-Bless, or pray more than the rich. (This is with all faiths even Sikhi which is 100% true is more popular among the common man over those with lots of Maya, just look at Badal).

The problem lies in many faiths that preached in essence fairy tails. The main consensus of most Atheists is that most faiths conflict with their own views of the world i.e one governed my laws and not based on myths. They live under the impression that all theism is mindless and illogical as it preaches mindbogglingly strange things. Unfortunately many of them live in this cynicism and broadly reject all religions rather than a select few.

It would be very hard to quantify who believes in a creator and who does not. For example Buddhism rejects the aspect of a creator but some class it as a religion? Many of my friends (I'm fairly certain vast amounts of other people as well) believe in god but do not believe in organized religion. Some believe that you're relationship with God is far more intimate this way.

problems is too many people are nominal people of a faith not really living by it , e.g. Christianity -the message of Christ not the mass produced edited version , Muslims mostly do go to classes to learn Quran , memorize it to become Hafiz but have little understanding of the actual message, Jews are accepting that most Jews don't practice but keep the sabbat only, Geeta is read at home but not understood , same with Vedas. How many of us truly do darshan each and everyday

Is it adjusted to the population change? There were less Sikhs 100 years ago, but not changed with the current population.

It's kalyug. And as usual I blame technology and more choices. As one gets to a certain achievement or goal, they then want to go further, more, the wants are more, thus not pacing oneselves within Gods Hukam, thus drifting away from the faith and trust and praise of God.
