At school all my friends have turned their back on me and no one listens to anything I say. I've always been nice to my friends but they just bully me and say I'm too weird to be their friend. Why is Waheguru doing this to me! I do paath and always help others. But now my life is so miserable! I'm a girl in grade 9. Everyday I cry and all I ever hear are rumors about me! No one listens to me and my mom thinks I'm lying! Is Waheguru listening to me? Is there any shabad or paath to help me? I feel so alone and miserable. I have restless nights because I'm scared to wake up and face another terrible day. Sometimes I wish I could just die in my sleep! I cry myself to sleep every night. Even when I do paath it's like Waheguru isn't listening. Please help me, what should I do? I have posted the same thing to another sikhi forum, I would really just like some advice. Thank you so much. Wjkk Wjkf

I understand what you are going through.  This happens to many teens.  You do paath and this is a very good thing.  Don't give up doing paath.  You repetively asked.....is Vaheguru listening to me.  There surely is a comfort in life knowing people respect and like you.  Everyone wants to be liked.  Its a common feeling.  I suggest you take a second and listen to the paath you are doing.  By this I mean, paath brings good feeling in a person.  The mind feels refreshed, alert to the Naam in your environment and an overall feeling of happiness; content with what Guru Sahib has given you by reading the shabad.  After doing paath, it sounds to me you still feel empty inside, sad and frustrated.  So what can you do to improve your experience as you do paath?  When you watch your favorite show or a movie you think that will be really good your mind is completely focused on keeping track of what happened, who did what, how it was done, how the plot was revealed, etc.  After you finish the show or movie you are again thinking about how great of an episode or movie it was to watch.  You tell others and really want them to experience the good feeling you received from watching it.  Now apply the same to doing paath.  Focus on what Guru Sahib is telling you with interest.  Capture the picture Guru Sahib is painting in the shabad.  Listen to the shabad repeatedly and read the shabads multiple times.  Pay close attention to what words Guru Sahib is using and where the pause comes.  Internalize the shabads or shabads by telling your mind over and over what Guru Sahib had said in the shabad.  By doing so, you will realize, you needed to listen to what Guru Sahib is telling you.  Guru Sahib has been listening to you all this time, but when Guru Sahib was speaking through the paath you are doing, you were not paying attention.  As you start paying attention, you will become aware of your true friends.  Each Gurbani shabad is your true friend.  They are always with you, when you need a helping hand.  They helped bhai mani Singh ji when he was being cut limb from limb. They took his pain away. They came to the rescue of Bhagat Naamdev ji and Bhagat Prahlaad ji.  So many have been helped by Gurbani shabads.  I understand you are in grade 9 and having a classmate to socialize with is a great feeling and helps with overall social life at school.  For now try not to think about it and focus on listening to kirtan and reading paath.  Gurbani kirtan is very strong and can get rid of unwanted feelings.

There are many shabads on youtube.  Here is one of the many that comes to mind

First of it important to tell teachers/ elders what you're going thru and your feelings.

Second, do you do Rakhia di shabd followed by kirtan sohila b4 sleeping? Do this with devotion then there will be an effect of it the following day. This effect will be for the better and will certainly last.

I am in grade 9 too and I really understand where you are coming from. Even I used to be bullied and you know what helped me? Doing Dasam bani helps so much and you can feel the bir-ras in it. It makes you much stronger. I used to be bullied because I didn't do my eyebrows and I had a really light monobrow. It just shows how backwards the world is. I really recommend doing Dasam bani. Listen to it or do it. Its ridiculous how much I can relate.

Is there any sikh organisation that helps kids like this? It's a serious issue, the way the child has spoken reflects the severity of it.

There must be a professional sikh counselling service?

Yes there is get a kirpan and slash it across your tormenters eyes and chest be a brave lioness of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and give them hell

That’s not wise advise. She will end up in jail for doing that. There’s other ways of dealing with it.

Are mods monitoring these posts? Why hasn’t anything been written for the above post?

I am completely fine now. Gurbani helped me so that's why I suggest it to everyone. To the OP I really hope things get better for you and Vaheguru answers your prayers.

Just remember it may feel difficult but when you look back it will just seem like a bad dream. The point is that bad times don't last forever, although it may feel like it at the time. Go through it and be patient that good times will come. Do plenty of Paath and Simran and Guru ji will sooner or later bless you with happiness.

Don't fail the test! This difficult time will pass eventually!

    • Happens all the time even now! Collecting daswand to help 84 victims, to fight cases they raise a heck of money and boom they disappear and you never hear from them again
    • Unfortunately outside India we've had plenty of 'daswand' collected to help 84 victims over the years in the West. Few years ago there was 'Sikh' organisation which collected well over 6 figs close to 200k to fight cases for those in jail and bring justice no idea where they went or what happen to the money.  Our kaum is infested with rats and deceivers sadly.
    • Are they under the Indian government?
    • Paedophile doctor, 28, who groomed '13-year-old girl' on Kik using the username 'olderc**k' walks free from court after his lawyer blamed his actions on working long hours during the pandemic James Peter Farthing, 28, spoke to the 'teenager' on messaging service Kik He asked to see pictures of her and sent the account a picture of his <banned word filter activated> But the NHS doctor was actually speaking to an undercover police officer He admitted attempting to groom a child and was given a suspended sentence  A doctor who attempted to groom a '13-year-old girl' online has been spared prison after his lawyers blamed his actions on working long hours during the Covid pandemic. James Peter Farthing, 28, spoke to the 'teenager' on messaging service Kik - under the username 'olderc**k' - as well as on Snapchat. The junior doctor, who worked for the NHS in Stockport, asked to see photographs of her body and shared an image of <banned word filter activated>. The account was actually being run by an undercover police officer and Farthing was later arrested for attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. However, today he walked free from Minshull Street Crown Court after being handed a suspended sentence. Lawyers mitigating for Farthing, said he had been juggling working long hours during the pandemic, his wife's health condition and his training.  They said he had 'emotional struggles', had been watching pornography and smoking cannabis at the time - but that he was working to address his issues. Her Honour Judge Tina Landale sentenced him to six months in prison, suspended for two years, after he admitted attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. He was handed concurrent sentences for attempting to involve a child aged 13 or over in non-penetrative sexual activity; and attempting to engage with a child aged 13 to 15 to watch and look at images of a sexual nature. The court heard Farthing spoke to the 'girl' on Kik - under the username 'olderc**k', Fiona Clancy, prosecuting said. He also spoke to her on Snapchat, in March. He said he was 23 and from Leeds. The 'girl' was called 'Beth' and was said to have been from Liverpool. The cop used a picture of kittens to portray how young she was, Ms Clancy said. Farthing asked 'Beth' if she was into 'older guys' and if she would send him a picture. 'Beth' told him: 'I'm 13, by the way.' Farthing replied: 'Cool. Are you down for role play or sex?' He asked to see her body and offered to show her his <banned word filter activated>. The 'girl' said she was worried about sending a photograph. Farthing reassured her that if she didn't include her face, it 'should be fine'. 'The fact that the undercover officer was 13 was reiterated, but the sexual conversations continued,' Ms Clancy said, as the conversations moved to Snapchat. Farthing told 'Beth': 'I have spoken to a few girls that like older men.' The officer then sent a picture of a young, clothed girl.  Farthing sent a photograph of his <banned word filter activated>. 'I really want to touch your body and see what you look like naked,' he said. He then sent another picture of his <banned word filter activated>. Ms Clancy said that when officers arrested Farthing, he said he was 'ashamed' and 'tried to stop', but 'gave in to sexual pleasure', the court heard. Simon Gurney, defending, said Farthing, who has no previous convictions, was 'deeply ashamed and remorseful for his behaviour'.   His supervisor - a consultant - and training programme director provided statements to the court. Staff and patients 'all expressed shock' after Farthing was arrested, the court heard, as people thought he had a good 'moral compass'.  Mr Gurney said they 'stand by him' because they acknowledge his remorse. The lawyer said it was the first time in Farthing's career that he didn't enjoy his work - and that his family was in debt as a result of the pandemic.  Mr Gurney said Farthing 'only has himself to blame for jeopardising' his career.  Judge Landale said the 'girl' made it 'clear that she didn't want to talk about sex'.  Farthing was ordered to take part in the Horizon project; to complete 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days; and to undertake 200 hours of unpaid work. He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order - to last a decade.   https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9995087/NHS-junior-doctor-28-groomed-13-year-old-girl-Kik-spared-prison.html
    • Plus who said I was some 'admitted expert' about the dumbing down? There's no two ways about it, everything is dumbed down for pendus. Who can't see that? The only people who can't see it, are the dumb themselves.
