There is no need to drop Singh in the least because South East nations have a fair bit of Sanskrit in their languages.

That's not the point in their eyes , I mean there were many sikhs who came to the west and didn't change their soorat or names to suit the goray . It is so stupid what is so wrong with keeping the same name on all official documents ...just fake people because there have been recent news of sabat surat sikhs being honoured by thai King .

Ah come on is this any different to the 'tonys' , 'nicks' , 'daves' in the west which allow the coconuts to be accepted by the goreh? Or the Coco's these days naming their kids with English trendy names ? In particular things like the English spellings of names like Hari and Aneel etc. It just reflects that those people are just further from sikhi.  the closer you are to guru ji then you leave the name to guru ji to choose  or at least to give you the first letter of a name

Such bullsht excuses !

We will bend over backward to any extent just to appear "cool" , when infact no one gives 2 crrap to no matter how much you handle out freebies in the name of "langar" and "sewa" . Langar just meant roti daal sabzi, simple and healthy , not the processed food crrap we see in gurdwara nowadays.

Not the "lets hand out coke and bagels" we see in chowks of western cities. You think the gorey give 2 crrap that you're giving free handouts to them ? they are prolly thinking you're doing nothing special as you prolly own them atleast that much for living in their country.

Wherever the christian and muslims went, they spread their culture , eating habit, dressing habit , and religion. We lose ours wherever we go. Sometimes I wonder god revealing sikhi to a group (punjabi) that is so grossly opposite to sikhi just goes on to prove god is just trolling humans lol seriously

you seriously are showing your anti-sikh colours ....

ehde vich anti sikh ki keh ditta main ? If you saw my posts here (apart from gay-related ones which I won't be posting anymore) , you would find I am always trying to give innovative solutions to sikhs as I am concerned abt the panth .

Keep feeding people for free (not talking abt langar)  , while other religions are advancing in our homeland. We as a community can barely think beyond daily religious routine , nagar kirtans, samagams and the likes. But its not enough for us . We have not started enough orphanages for adopting and bringing orphans to sikhi . Look at the christians. Most crappiest religion ever spreading like locust.

After so much of maar, in 47 , 84 and still now, we're not opening our heads to form some kind of think-tank (hindus have RSS btw !)

Muslims have their own technique of reproduction . Sikhs have neither. Bholi kaum ha assi :/

    • The UK/Kenyan Style is actually the original Punjabi style modified. Look at Milkha Singh, this style (square/rectangle last larr) was tied by most Pre-partition Sikh men, My Nani Ji's dad also tied it (never visited Kenya or Africa). It's a single dastar, starched with punjabi style pooni tied with the last larr left longer/ "rectangular". Sikhs who left India for Kenya around 1940s took this style with them but adapted it to be smaller, with a chunj to substitute for a lack of nok (beak), or it just looked like a flat, v shaped dumalla). They changed the pooni to folded instead of corner/stretched too. In Punjab, the style changed to Patiala Shahi and fabrics which didn't need starch were developed so ppl started tying unstarched Shahi paggs, with double fabric. But before around 1940, there was almost NO Sardaarji who didn't starch his Pagg (even Granthis didn't tie everyday except gol dastars). The first "wave" of Sikhs to reach Britain were kenyans, not Punjabis so they brought this "Kenyan style" dastar with them to England, making it known as the "UK style Dastar" (a folded and starched Dastar with a triangle point at the front). Cos this was the norm in England, even Punjabi Sikhs (not Kenyan) who arrived later just followed suit Most Kenyan Sikhs were Tarkhans, so the first Sikhs in the UK were too for the most part. So this style's known as the Tarkhan Pagg, but this isn't true cos Tarkhans in India tie the Punjabi Style and some Jatts in Kenya tie the UK/Kenyan style. My family's Jatt Sikh from PUNJAB and we all tie Punjabi Style but with starch, so it's not a caste thing.
    • how to get the physical copy in uk or Panjab?
    • "sabh sikhan ko hukam hai, GURU MAYEYO GRANTH". If HUMAN BEINGS could show us how to be perfect sikhs then Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj wouldn't have ended the line of human Gurus and passed gurgaddi over to Guru Granth Sahib Ji Mahraj. Remember that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj predicted that we were only one of thousands of universes hundreds of years before science discovered this. The Gurus were capable of predicting the future; if they wanted us following one select human in the future they would have predicted them and told us who to follow. DON'T insinuate I'm a fake sikh loooool. Cos you know what "Sikhs" who follow humans like YOU do are called? Namdharis. Sikhs only listen and answer to the 10 Gurus, Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Waheguruji. Nobody else. That's part of why Sikhi is so beautiful, it's the simplicity. We can ACKNOWLEDGE what other people say but not when it goes against the orders or nature of our Gurus (in this case, using the most modern & effective martial arts/ weapons like they did instead of blindly trying to preserve history, then thinking a 300 year old martial art would still be effective today). If Sikhi was abt preserving history rather than practicality, then Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj could've given us a caveman club instead of a kirpan/2 foot long sword. but then we go into the whole "is a gun a kirpan" argument...
    • Ridiculous. Just chuck your history away because it's not gurbani. What a joker.. typical modern day Sikh. "Sikhism" 🤣🤣🤣 If it wasn't for rattan Singh bhangu how would you even know of your itias? Someone like you just came out of thin air.
    • Shastar vidiya . The basis of the unarmed is foundation for the armed combat.  There can be a point where u can't get to your weapons. What will you do? Of course the khalsa had unrmed skills. If your sword or weapons broke. What would you do? Grappling etc. wrestling etc.    Unarmed combat is known as "platha"
