Birth control- is it right or wrong?

Our nature is totally disturbed. We are greatly over populated.

Shud we keep on increasing population and kill mother nature?

Many Sikhs say that birth and death are Hukam and have 3-4 kids.

Gurbani says that don't worry, God will take care of everyone and give everyone food.

These Sikhs, when their 3-4 kids reach youth age, take so much tension about settling their kids and run after rich or nri families to get their kids comfortably settled.

I personally feel whole human race shud decrease population, otherwise we will face societal collapse as nature is COMPLETELY disturbed

Yes. It should. But it is not. So we must hold our numbers through birth and conversion.

Sikhs are very few In number tcompared to Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists

Sikhs do not usually have more than 2-3 kids outside India (and even in any of relatives in India) and I think Sikhs maybe should have more children.
 

Sikhs should not get drawn into this ‘overpopulation’ issue because we are small in number

Sikhs hv given up Naam Simran. We can easily make crores of people Sikhs if we ourselves follow sikhi.

We don't need to act like Muslims and increase our population through crazy breeding.

I agree. Except. ...nobody else is going to slow down. Quakers didn't want to overpopulate, and they're gone now.

if you look at the condition of our environment I am not even sure we can rectify what we have done. Polluted the soil, water, air. Destroyed the habitat of animals. Look in India how the wild leopards enter people's homes because their habitat has been destroyed. With more animals dying and going extinct the food chain will take a hit. We keep developing all these things but how many think about the long term impact of these things. In Punjab there used to be so many sparrows and due to radiations most of them have died. We are going to face the worst karma for destroying nature. Humans act all mighty but one natural disaster and they realize where they stand. Just look at the conditions of the river waters in Punjab. And the amount of cancer we have. I saw a video where they were using literally sewage water in the farms of Punjab. Just look at the amount of diseases people are having. Newborn babies with microplastics in their blood. We thought we could achieve all this progress without caring about the environmental impact but look what happened. It is slowly destroying our health. We are going to be destroyed for ruining God's nature. Now people run to organic shops to buy organic food and what not. We literally destroyed the most basic human need of food through chemicals and what not and now cry about it. They even pump animals with all sorts of chemicals. What a disaster. One day people are going to cry for clean drinking water. Nature had everything but in our greed we ruined it.

We hv cut so much forest.

In future we might not even hv enough wood to cremate dead bodies.
