I went out to do some food shopping at Iceland (near Waterloo Station, London). I was wearing a white Kurta Pyjama and Black Dastaaar. When I got in Iceland I sensed the security guard was staring at me. He looked like he was Albanian or something (very fair skin). As I was walking down the shopping isle, the security guard walked passed still looking and it looked as if he wanted to say something to me, but he didn't :mconfu: When I got to the other side of the shop, the security guard came up and said (in a East European accent), "You Mr. Singh? Harbhajan Singh Crickter dress like you... He Mr. Singh and you Mr. Singh... you look nice in your dress... Harbhajan S…

hi i just found this quote and thought it would be intereting to discuss.... 'Organised Religion Is The Prop Of A Man Who Has Not Found Himself/God Within" how much of an 'organised religion' is sikhi? some think that sikhi shouldn't even be called a religion because it is a way of life...but pehrpas having to pray a certain number of times a day eg rehraas every evening could be conisdered as organised....? :TH:

Waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh jio I put up the following comment in another thread, but no one has answered the question, instead it got 'hijacked by ppl calling others terrorists etc" so i would like to raise the post again. When the Nangs first started doing their parchar in uk in 99, they would say it's onlyokay to eat maas in war times, the same Nangs now eat maas as part of their daily food intake. now they are saying one can have sharab in times of war, i wonder if 4 yrs down the line ,they will all be in the pub everynight? the main qestion is "What defines times of war" Okay the spirtual war is ongoing for everyone in controlling their mind and …

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I picked up the DVD "Tabe Roas Jagiyo" at the AKJ UK Rehnsbhaee last Saturday. It's about how the RSS is waging a dirty war to try and dilute Sikhi and pull it towards Hinduism/Snaatan Mat. The talk is given at Malton Gurudwara by Sukhpreet Singh Udhoke. He's a real powerful lecturer. We need more engaging and educated persons like him. The contents are a real eye-opener. <_< I'd recommend everyone to watch it. You can download it from: http://www.khalsaalliance.org/ Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo

some of you may know that bhai balwinder singh rangila has a camp dedicated to learning gurmat sangeet instruments at the price of 0 pence (or 0 paise in india), which i am sure you know very well is very costly making rangila ji a loved gurmukh pyaara by those who meet him and his jatha (not i am being sarcastic with the being costly part). he has also employed some good ustaads which play many instruments. the two i know that came to leicester and nottingham and did a few kirtan darbars were in leicester, nottingham, coventry and southall. the names of these two singhs were bhai jabarjang singh (who taught the stringed instruments and vajaa) and bhai kirpal singh ji (w…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Something has been bothering me for a bit now, it is based around non sikhs wearing kareh. I for some reason started to chat to a another person in school, and noticed they had a kara so i was wicked this person is Sikh, maybe i can get to know him better etc...etc... As the convo progressed i later found out he was a Hindu, so i asked him how comes you are a hindu and you wear a kara he was like becuase...? I was like becuase what he goes my mum makes me wear it i was like okay then.... This guy hardly knows anything about the basic principles of Sikhi and has only been to a Gurudwara like twice. This really confused m…

Gurmat Reflection of Southall Nagar Kirtan by Manvir Singh Khalsa (U.K.) Origin Nagar Kirtans originate from ‘Parbaat Pheris’ (Parbaat literally means ‘early morning,’ and Pheri means ‘going around’). The Parbaat Pheri would consist of a Gursikh carrying a vaaja (harmonium) tied to themselves, some people would carry chhainey (bells), and one person would carry a dholki. Early in the morning the group of Gursikhs would walk around the village or city singing shabads and people would join them as they walked past their homes. Leading the jatha (group) would be the people leading the shabad singing and a Gursikh carrying a Nishan Sahib. The processions gave opportunity…
