Unfortunately as we all know, Sikhi, and our communities online have been under heavy attack, by intelligence agencies, and fanatic religous groups from all over the globe. I had no idea that I would discover this coming here some years ago now. However it became quite clear quite soon, and as time has progressed it has only increased to a fervent pitch. To anyone I've offended screening for trollery, forgive me. It's not for nothing, and there is a method to the madness. We do need to be careful, in general, and it is good we track disturbing online attacks as well as subversion attempts here. I am going to do my best, to return some benefit of do…

Jazzy B performing people throwing bottles, one i saw hit on the stag. Jazzy b saying a bottle from the back has been thrown and hit little girl, then goes on to say that is not bravery....true say. Sceen a few pakistani flags and indian in the crowd. Fair play to Jazzy he came back with a few lines (like an intro/poem b4 the start of a song) about Sardars. If the mirpuris understood what he had said im sure they would have gone mad.!!!!

How embarrasing was this ??: One of the more interesting parts of the recent documentary on Sikh extremism was the recording of a fight that took place over control of Southall Gurdwara (the biggest outside India) between its existing management and an outside group calling themselves ‘Lion Group’. The fight basically illustrates the terrible state of Sikh affairs in the UK, an issue most Sikhs keep ignoring. Anyway, the Southall-based paper Des Pardes published a write-up of what happened after, with such bias its downright hilarious. But its worth reading anyway. I publish the full article here.

Sangat ji, the link that will be provided at the end of this thread will show clearly how SPN, so called Sikh Philosopy Network conducts itself online. The creator himself has gone to the extent of showing one of the members personal address and was shared to threaten the member from free speech. Further showing his address imply's others should harass him. Aman Singh is the creator and he is disclosing private information, which cannot be shown publicly. Is this anyway for a person to act on different of opinion. The member on the thread discloses the true colors of Darshan Laal and Aman Singh goes mad, he couldn't even control himself. In his rage he makes priva…

What is Nitnem? Nitnem means daily prayers; Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji put a collection of Banees together and ordered his Sikhs to recite them daily. The purpose of nitnem is to keep the soul and mind of the Sikh focused on truth and truthful living. Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji instructed his Sikhs clearly that nitnem is essential (it is a command from guru ji to recite nitnem). Even in the times of battle when the larger number of enemy forces where in hot pursuit of guru ji and his smaller band of Sikhs, guru ji used to stop to perform his nitnem. If you are uneducated in gurkmukhi you should try and learn but the least you can do is listen to nitnem on a cd. Nitnem is the…

I hear a lot of Sakhis. Now some are well-known, consistent in their telling and have a profound meaning attached. Others though I've never heard of and am unsure if true. Today I heard a Sakhi (heard two but can't recall the second one) and just wondered if anyone else has heard it: Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote something (scriptures, pothi, granth - I don't know) and threw it into the sarovar of where he was. It is said that if anyone goes there and writes "penti" (don't know if this refers to number 35 or something else) , they will receive gyan. Has anyone heard this? I'm lost as to why Guru Ji would write something valuable and then throw it. It'd be like throwing …

True Panthik Ekta & Naam An extract from an article by Bhai Jagjit Singh jee posted on the Tapoban Forum We often talk about Panthik Ekta. It is something we all long for, if we have "Khalsa Spirit" or "Panthik dard". However sometimes we all work together and achieve a lot and others we have things like above. It is a shame, but these things happen. I have come to the conclusion, where there is Naam you will always find Panthik Ekta. You see the thing about Ekta is that it is unnatural for human beings. Lust, anger, greed, attachment and especially ego get in its way. Naam is the only cure. To achieve Ekta on any level, we must first find …

The following story says it all. Today we have lots of pakhandis who shy away from taking the batton from Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji and moving the panth forward instead they make up fancy names for organisations (eg Darbar-e-Khalsa) and hand control to those tainted with having links with the GOI. They have Punjab Police body guards, fancy cars, spend most offerings on their dera, some are even willing to grant sons. Others happily offer their dirty kachera water for devotees to drink, others leave joot in their taal for followers to devour as if it is some form of prashad. Some happily endorse and attend Congress functions. Please keep away from these pakhandi th…
