aight heres the thing I know that every single one of us is different in many ways but why wont some sikhs just dont bother to say even hi or hello when they come into eye contact with each other at most colleges and univ. in US.... i dunno the pattern about Canada and UK..... but this is so weird over here..... most univ and colleges have so many segregated groups of sikh students that sometimes its even hard to make out the exact size of sikh student population in the school....and most sikhs in colleges dont want to share the issues that are bothering them such as discrimination .....just wanted to know is the same situation everywhere or its just the New York City eff…

I saw this article, and I have read something very similar to this before: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/scotland-trial-universal-basic-income-universal-credit-welfare-reform-a7435926.html%3famp Just wondering how this relates in the context of Sikhi. I know this is talk in terms of welfare but I can see wider implications . There has been much talk about how technology/automation is replacing jobs. When we do shopping, we increasingly go on-line. When we shop for groceries in the supermarket, we increasingly see self-service checkouts. Self-drive cars in the future will remove our need to drive. 3D printing…

Universal Integration Pillar The pillar recalls, the cultural heritage of India bringing to our mindsthe echoes of anatana Dharma, the highest form of equity and divine justice. Thepillar is seated on an eight-pettaled Lotus and flower shaped base highlightingintelligence and reason, as also laying bare that the eight boundaries of the universe, circumflex the pillar. Humanity its well knit and integrated existenceis the theme of the pillar. The intellectuals with their intellect, must endeavour to integrate humanity into a common culture, which is another name for kindness, compassion, and which ushers in, one world family. My question is little bit inadequate, I don't have the tendency to ask such a big question. Shouldn't there be only one place to take amrit ?, I mean only one group of Panj Pyaare as our GURU not anyone from the crowd. But only five Brahmgyani's from the whole world should have the right to do amrit ceremony. As we see at Kalgidhar Patshah's time only Five did the ceremony for thousands. And they were real sikhs. Not just from outside, I mean they were enlightened. What are your views?

We should have a universal turban day for EVERYONE! all us sikhs can tie turbans for non-sikh friends and those 'sikhs' that dont wear turbans! it will be a universal experience! It would also give a chance to some people to wear a dastaar with an excuse, who may be under pressure for being told not to! possible days would be on vaisakhi and guru nanak dev jis gurpurab. what does everyone think!

Out of interest there is an individual who I know (XYZ Singh) who has studied for 12 years in New-Zealand, he is a top-class student but due to some financial difficulties and time constraints he cannot attend any university here. He now wants to study at a University in Punjab. Which university should he chose in Punjab, why? And above all how much would it cost him in fees for one year? He wishes to do a three year degree in biological sciences. He is originally from Jalandhar, and will like to study in any university in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar etc. But definitely not outside Punjab. Plus any additional contact details for the university will be greatly apprecia…
