Sangat Ji, just thought id point out something which i heard recently. A young lad decided that becuae his dad did a lot of gurbani that for his birthday he would give him an extra special birthday present. What he did was... he printed out the whole of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at home on his printer on paper and gave it to his dad to read. Obviously the young lad didnt know what he was doing, he thought he was doing something nice for his dad, but gurbani is gurbani and having all of the bani from Guru Granth Sahib Ji together in that way constitutes Guru Ji as Guru Ji, and thus needs to be respected with the full care. The father fortunetly knew that his son had ma…

I was researching the group 3HO on the internet, and I stumbled upon the following website: http://www.rickross.com/groups/3ho.html#Cr...%203HO%20Leader This website proceeds to call 3HO a cult that is horrible, brainwashing, etc... Now I personally have never met anyone who has converted into Sikhi; I'm curious what these people are like and how the sangat feels about 3HO. Are they really as bad as this site suggests? It scares me if the stories on this website are real....After all, although sikhnet.com has its fair share of errors, it still does a lot of good... What does everyone think?

PLEASE READ THIS POST, DO NOT IGNORE IT. wjkk wjkf This is a topic which is being ignored by every one, one only pays attention to it; if it comes to that person. Many of us think that we can wear kirpans in schools of Ontario, we can! but for your knowledge let me tell you it's just a privilage not a right. Means that being a privilage it's just an advantage given to us(sikhs) by the government of Ontario that sikhs can wear only 6 inch kirpan in schools, they can tell us to take it off when ever they think it is a danger to public life (unfortunately this is what they think), but if it is passed as a law that sikhs has the RIGHT to wear kirpans they can not tell us t…

During the last 20 years many thousands of sikhs have given shaheedi for the panth. How many exactly well, we'll prob never know. Estimates from human rights groups go from 100,000 to around 250,000 while the indian govt will make claims maybe less than 10% of those above. What is the truth? In 100 years time, if in a gurmat camp a sevadar is telling the kids about the attack, if one of the kids ask for proof, what will they produce? If the sevadar says my great grandmother was raped and my grandfather killed in this event. But there is no written documentation showing their deaths, did they mean it didnt happen? The wadda ghulugara and the shotha ghulugara that took…
