Recently Delhi gurudwaras under presidentship of Paramjit singh sarna have become centers for anti panthic activities. Darshan ragi whose job these days is to propagate against Dasam bani in the garb of kirtan is given prominent place to spread blasphemy in Delhi sikh gurudwaras. Anti sikh katha vachak Jagtar jachak has been given place to spread his atheist views. Chairman of Dharam parchar committee Tarsem singh has banned kirtan of tenth master's bani from delhi gurudwaras. We need to raise voice by writing to Paramjit sarna to stop this anti sikh propaganda at the behest of anti sikh forces. Please give your views.

A hoarding in Sri Anandpur Sahib <P dir=ltr align=justify>CHANDIGARH: At a time when Punjab Police in an Akali regime has been harassing Sikhs for putting up posters or photographs of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, people in many parts of the state are snubbing the move and responding by putting up huge hoardings of the Sant thus sending out a message that repressive tactics will lead to nowhere. In a detailed report in a regional English daily on Monday, mention was made of hoardings that not only featured Sant Bhindranwale but, in fact, included him alongside the tall Sikh heroes of the struggle against colonial rule. Bhindranwale is seen as a widely acc…

TABLE OF CONTENTS Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! May I humbly submit that I wrote an article on this subject during the last Xmas vacation? Many sects, "Sant Bani" etc., of example, use the Sikh names and quote Gurbani. This can make it appear as if they are part of the Panth. The lack of knowledge about Sikh Panth, among the Sikhs themselves, and some ridiculous arguments seen on the Internet prompted me to sit down and write this article. I have posted it a few times in the past. Reading it first should eliminate many questions. That is, if you agree. I am going to delete my previous version and post this article under one thread so that it is easier t…

Sify.com New generation of Sikhs lives with scars (25 years after Indira Gandhi's assassination) 2009-10-26 16:30:00 Amandeep Kaur clearly recounts that horrific phase when, with all the men folk in her family killed in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the women had to struggle to make ends meet. She was just a year old and for a few days was even put in jail along with her mother. 'Eleven members of my family were killed in the riots. I was brought up by my mother in the widow colony in Tilak Vihar. I remember when I was growing up, my mother didn't let me go out of the colony because she was scared I would be allured by the toys outside and demand something that she w…
