vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh !! sangat ji, i may receive amrit very soon with guru's kripa but, thre is one problem!! i have to undergo a surgery this summer and it will take about a month to recover afterwards. now, for surgery, of course i wud have to remove my kakkars, whtever doctor suggest , and secondly, during recovery , for dressing up the wound, the area would be shaved ... so just wanna know, wud then i be breaking amrit?? thanks ji

How do u all deal with stress? I am in a situation where I've got family as well as work problems at the moment and as a result, I get headaches almost every day. This means I miss my amritvela coz i wake up every morning with a headache and then go back to sleep, hoping it will get better if i rest some more. But then I feel guilty all day about missing my amrit vela!! I try to do simran/bani while working during the day, but I've got so much stuff going round in my head that i really cant concentrate. So what's the best way of overcoming the stress (and the headaches)?

WJKK WJKF i was wondering how one does Saas Giraas bhagti. I know of someone who told me that only Naam Bhagti can be done by Saas Giraas. How is it done, and is what they said true? Also, say we don't use our Rasna (tongue) to do naam Japna, but just do it in our minds, does that still "count" as Naam Japna? Thanks. wjkk wjkf

Sangat Ji ! I've been studying at Portsmouth University for 2 years now and I haven't come across any Sikh Society. I was wondering that is it possible for a Sikh Society to be created in Portsmouth University? Or what must I need to do in order to get Sikh Society started? The Guru Granth Sahib Ji There is an english translation of the words of the Gurus. Here is a website with the translations, along with the roman script (which is for ppl who can't read the script which it is written in- Gurmukhi) so that they still can read the scriptures, of how it is ment to be read. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
