  1. Tell you what. Instead of being the 100 person to try and tell us about Islam here, why not inform us about your Cherokee heritage. I think a lot more of us would be interested in that. Please do share.

  2. Ok i watched the videos couple of times- mad respect to singhs who confronted this person who was abusing the nihang bana by drinking alchohol. But with that being said, i think best approach in future should be taking these types of imposters to sri akaal takth sahib to present them to jathedar there for pesh or tankhaiya instead of beating him then and there. Overall its sets a precedence full of loopholes and precedence of outlaw which is tribal outdated system which has no place in modern society. In my humble opinion, no jatha or samparda should have full right going to this far length as first resort to beat an imposter by taking matter on their own hands. Imposters should be taken to sri akaal takth sahib and presented there for tankhaiya punishment. This ensures there is no abuse of power and sense of accountability as it will handled by main voice for sikhs- sri akaal takth sahib. Above approach is quite slippery slope and risky, while above those sevadars seems genuine but unfortunately same cannot be said for others..too many panthic police running around with panthic sirens with their holier than thou attitude these days in punjab making some high trivial decisions on their own with sense of entitlement and without any sense of accountablity and besides who can really validate overall self proclaimed sevadars genuine intention? all it takes another youtube video but this time potential GOI agent acting like sevadar singh in bana executing a another sikh in name of beadhi and making us look like talibans, shariapanthis..!!!!!! Again those singhs above seem genuine but approach is way too risky which sets an precedence with some broader trivial implications in future ahead. I think these matters are best handled by sri akaal takth sahib.!!!!!!!!!

  4. Following Protest today by Sangat, the Anand Karaj was cancelled. Facts: Sangat spoke to both families concerned in a peaceful and respectful way. The Brides’ family had approached another Gurdwara first who refused the wedding due to it being inter-faith. Ajmer Basra President of the Gurdwara, saw this as an opportunity when the family came to him. He had no-intention of following or implementing Akal Thakt Hukam. Basra owns the Civic centre which was booked as part of the package, where the Hindu Part of the wedding and pooja took place, without disruption. Basra used his links with a security company later on to book them too. Charging the family even more money. Security Co pulled out when they knew the circumstances. When other members of the committee spoke up, he expelled them from the committee. (3 members) Once speaking to the families and explaining to them, i) Significance of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaii) Maryada for Anand Karaj Both families agreed that the Anand Karaj was not appropriate for them and they wished the Gurdwara had explained to them before hand to save them the headache of rearranging their day. Ajmer Basra has openly told people they have made over £50K in hosting these types of weddings over the last couple of years. This man is bringing our religious institutions into disrepute, causing heartache to families and wasting police time and resources.

  5. "curioustoknow" Thanks for sharing your views. You are very welcome on Sikhsangat. My humble request to you is to feel free to ask anything you want to about Sikhi and one or more of us will try to share (not lecture or teach as we're all learning) whatever knowledge Guru Sahib has blessed us with. We sincerely hope you are here to learn about Sikhi, and since we don't believe in proselytizing you don't need to worry about any of us trying to "convert" you to Sikhi . And I hope this trust is mutual and runs both ways

  8. PEACEFUL PROTEST taking place tomorrow prompt at 7am at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Holy bones, Leicester. Despite numerous requests from Sangat, Community elders and Panj Pyaareh, The Gurughar has ignored the Hukam from Sri Akaal Takht Sahib which clearly states that only two Sikhs are allowed to be married in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji . Following committee meeting a few days ago the Pardhan has expelled those members who opposed these sham Anand Karaj’s and has decided to go ahead with ALL mixed religion marriages and put an open challenge to anyone to try to stop them. The Gurdwara is working with Police and private security to allow mixed faith Anand Karajs to continue at Holy Bones Gurdwara. This is a lucrative market, whilst some local Gurdwaras have followed Akal Thakt Marayada, other corrupt Gurdwara’s see this as business opportunity to capitalise and charge families extra money on hiring security too. PLEASE SHARE, TEXT, FACEBOOK.. ETC Translation: Ik Ongkar Sri Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Sri Amritsar Giani Joginder Singh, Jethadar Date: 16-8-2007 Anand Sanskar"Marriage Ceremony" This is a message to all the Sikh Sangat that according to the Rehat Maryada only Sikh couples (male/female) can engage in the Anand Karaj Ceremony. If the couple or either one of them is not a Sikh, then they must embrace the Sikh faith. This includes that they must change their second name to Singh or Kaur in their official document (e.g. driving licence, identity card, passport) before the marriage. 10. Growing up I hid my cherokee identity, we were not accepted socially, and people are /were very racist against us. Even the media shows us as barbaric scantily clad savages which is totally not the case. Anyways my parents made me study the Bible (Torah and gospels) every day of my childhood, but I want satisfied with what I was learning. It just didn't seem to be complete, it seemed everyone I knew that claimed to be Christian did not incorporate all of the teachings, only what they wanted to to make their life satisfactory and justifiable to God. But where I was failing, was I was worshipping God for the praise of the people and not for the pleasure of God. So I believe that God set in motion a series of events that eventually led me away from christianity. I began living the life of a gypsy. I left everything I knew behind and hit the road. I worked from place to place. Wherever I would go, I would have a place because I would be working. And I allowed homeless travelers to stay with me on the floor. I would lock myself in a bedroom and leave early in the morning to either work or find work and not come home till late And when I would come home, we would gather in a circle and have deep philosophical conversions. I got to know all kinds of people with all kinds of backgrounds and cultures and beliefs. This is one reason I would love to see the world come together...I never fought with anyone and if any if us disagreed, we respected each other and agreed to disagree, but we did not separate or ways because of our beliefs. I lived this way for about three and a half years until I began to feel the need to settle down and have a family. So , I moved across the country to Washington state and was introduced to the quran. I had the opportunity to read it and knew that thatis where I needed to be...however...I will never stop looking and researching for answers. I don't know all the questions, but as long as I keep looking I will continue knowing One conclusion I have reached is that everyone has a role to play in this world and tobe successful in completing or life tasks we have to enjoin to compliment and contrast so as to come to a complete understanding. I am a firm advocate of equality and I hate racism sexism and discrimination. I speak out a lot against these things and have dedicated the rest of my life to raising my children and supporting the minorities or the opposed...I don't have riches, power, or material possessions, but none if that is needed to achieve the best status in God `s eyes. I hope to die with nothing because I can take nothing with me :-) and I hope my children grow to be just like me with their own ideas and understanding of the world

  11. there's 2 scenarios I know of, of ex-nihang types who both had problems with nasha and poverty.. i'm sure sangat are aware of them too. But I want to compare the approach taken. 1. was approached by christian charity who helped him get sober and and helped him financially to get on his feet.. so naturally he shaved and became a committed christian. 2. Dera Choota Sauda guy.. again, broke and hooked on drugs, the guy went to choota sauda and they helped rehabilitate him in one way or another. He again shaved and became a dera die hard... I will never have mercy on those that use bana to rape/extort/deceive money.. naklee nihangs like ajit phoola... But this guy, to me just seems like an elderly soul, slightly confused in need of a bit of love and help.. i could be totally wrong.. but i don't think he deserved a public beating, especially the humiliating <banned word filter activated> slaps

  13. Word AUM refers to trinity of Hinduism i.e. Vishnu, Brahma and Shiv who create, destroy and sustain the creation. This is not monotheistic. I agree Vedas have some element of truth but concept of God is monistic and sometimes pantheistic. Please study the difference between these. God is Upnishds is not personal, not actively involved in the world and without any attributes. Some mantras give completely pantheistic viewpoint of God making the creation an extension or body of God. In other words, they consider creation and the Creator equal and identical. This is against Gurmat. Sikh scholars and Hindu scholars fully endorse this viewpoint. Please see Daljeet Singh’s book on comparative mysticism, Shashi Bala’s book Concept of Monotheism, Dr. Rohi’s book on Monotheism and Dasgupta’s book on Indian Philosophy. Bhai Sahib, what do you mean by Nirgun gyan? At one point you say Nirgun is without attributes then you talk about Nirgun gyan. Two are contradictory. If Nirgun is devoid of any attributes then there is no gyan. All names of God are sacred and divine. I have no problem with any of the names. Please provide any proof that Bhai Daya Singh Ji used to give different mantars. This is contrary to Gurmat. There is only one Gurmantar. Sampardas may do whatever they wish but it does not become Gurmat. Gurbani does not support meditation upon just any name. Bhai Gurdas Ji also rejects this practice. I rather believe him than any samparda that has no proof to substantiate their lineage. Everyone’s avastha is different but this does not change Gurmat at all. All are and must be given the same Gurmantar for meditation. Please provide any proof. Your understanding of Nirgun and Sargun is wholly incongruent. Bhai Vir Singh, Bhai Randhir Singh, Subedar Baghel Singh and other gursikhs who have achieved union with Waheguru do not support your viewpoint. Bhai Vir Singh in his books (Guru Nanak Chamatkaar and others) states that as one meditates upon Gurmantar, he starts to acquire God-like attributes and eventually becomes one with God. Simran increases as spirituality increases. One remains absorbed in Naam forever. It never stops. I think those who claim otherwise are simply making empty claims without any proof from Gurbani. You still did not provide any proof from Gurbani. So you are stating that gursikhs like Bhai Gurdas Ji, Bhai Vir Singh and rehatnamas are wrong? Is Gurbani wrong to clearly give an injunction to meditate upon Gurmantar and not any other mantar? How can we call ourselves Sikhs and not follow Gurbani at the same time? Do you consider sampardas above Gurbani and Vaars? Please read some books by Bhai Vir Singh Ji and Bhai Randhir Singh Ji. No one can convince you but yourself. Guru Rakha

Sikh is anadi which includes all the avtars note not the hindus which are shaved. Moud is sikh (start is a sikh), everything else tainiya branches off the tree and leafs off the tree. All the avtars were keshadhari so therefore he makes interesting parellilism - sikhs are also keshadhari..!! If i were you guys i would listen to the video three times..its amazing each and every time i am listening and making notes joining dots and learning something new :D

  16. Procedure that was initiated by Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Luton 2008, to implement the Akal Thakt Guidelines Fairly. If couple want to marry via Anand Karaj, they must both come in around the same time as the initial booking, for one-to-one Sikhi sessions with an appointed "Anand Karaj Advisor" - REGARDLESS OF NAME, CASTE, CREED, COLOUR, MONA OR KESHDHARI. In these bite-size sessions the basic concepts of Sikhi are taught. Requirements on the day, amongst others: Requires the groom and bride not to have any intoxicants in the body (stag night, the night before are very common) Languar must be eaten at the Gurdwara before sangat leave. (sangat normally undermine the languar for the afterparty) At the end of the sessions a declaration is required by bride and groom. This is counter signed by the "Anand Karaj Advisor" who once is satisfied that the couple are committed to the pursuit of Sikhi, allows the marriage to be booked. Guru Nanak Gurdwara Luton Sri Anand Karaj Ceremony booking I …………………..(name) have chosen to be wedded at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Luton via the sacred Sri Anand Karaj ceremony because I declare myself a Sikh. • I have completed the pre wedding Sikhi Sessions • My utmost faith is in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. • I follow no other Religion nor worship any other beings. • I am familiar with the translations and protocol of the Anand Karaj • I will endeavour to preserve the sanctity of the Anand Karaj, as per guidelines explained to me. • I understand the importance of taking Amrit and becoming a Khalsa. • If I have children in the future I will raise them as Sikhs. • My commitment to the Pursuit of Sikhi is verified by my passport and driving licence with Singh or Kaur – as required by Akal Tatkt maryda. Signed……………………………. Name……………………….. Date Verified: by Gurdwara Anand Karaj booking secretary Signed…………………………….. Name……………………….Date………… Benefits: • one rule for all... no bias on names, or extra allowance for being Punjabi. • At the same time anyone who is trying to pull the wool over your eyes, by changing his name to singh/kaur can be easily detected and refused be the advisor who has the final say. • The couple are taught one-to-one Sikhi - great opportunity for parchar - at critical moment in their lives • Prevents apneh also abusing Anand karaj. - making sure they know they are supposed to learn anand Karaj, not have intoxications in their body, eat languar etc etc. • Enforces Akal Thakt Maryada in a fair way • Gives the Anand Karaj "Value".. not given out cheaply to anyone willy-nilly

  17. The Marayda for Anand Karaj stems back to all original rehtnameh.. including Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharajs hukkams. All Paratan Marayadas are in agreement in the fundamental, i.e. Anand Karaj is for Sikhs. There are conditions such as keshdari only, other sampardhiays will marry Amritdharis only, some originals put more emphasis on the Parents to marry their daughter to a Singh(which some may class as sexist now). In essence the current Akal Thakt Marayda is heavily watered down. It's up to the Gurdwaras how to implement it correctly, in a justified manner, i) preserving the Sanctity of the Anand Karaj ii) respect of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji ii) Being intelligent enough to understand the consequent exponential decline of Sikhi in our youth if young people are exposed to these weddings week in week out, making it socially accepted in our religious institutions.

  18. Please re-read the sandesh.. it says "if the either the groom or bride is NOT Sikh" .. i.e. if they follow or associate themselves with a different faith, then they must embrace the Sikh faith first and then he/she will be eligible for Anand Karaj.. As a sign of their commitment to the pursuit of Sikhi they are to change their name. If the couple both have originally identified or followed the Sikhi as their only faith..then these conditions are not necessarily applicable. Yes, there are many loopholes to this, But, this is to fundamentally avoid scenarios like today, where there was 2 weddings, an Anand Karaj followed by a Hindu.

  19. This video has disturbed me and put more questions into me and has really hurt me on the inside more than anything as I'm sure it has for everyone else. Not necessarily the beating that occurred, more of the psychology and the mindset of the nihang being beaten. Surely he felt he deserved it, but surely again there can be a more positive approach? What the Singh was taken to Akaal Takhat Sahib and he removed the kakaars there and then continued to do the same thing again? ugh, this really hurts. I wonder what the Dal will say after this. Hopefully they will support this incident in particular and say in the future they will take care of it on their own and ensure such a thing doesn't happen or try to stop it from happening. A lot of Nihangs in Punjab drink alcohol (which was what the nihang in video 3 was saying - something along the lines of "amritsarch saare peende"). What problems in the Nihang Dals occurred that allow such individuals to don the honorable farla?

  20. We don't know context or situation around that time that lead sant ji gave those bachans it be foolish to apply those bachans blindy to each and every event regarding amrtidhari caught drinking wearing bana. If that was a case how come panthic sevadars from taksal here abroad don't go ahead apply the bachans above here in western countries? why? its common sense even the most staunch followers know the context (rightly so) behind sant ji bachans. I am sure sant ji bachans would have applied perfectly around that time based on conditions as punjab was in choas. Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale had great respect for sri akaal takth sahib hence he fought dharam yudh morcha from guru nanak nivas near sri akaal takth sahib instead of mehta. I am pretty certain if someone were put the above proposal taking imposters to sri akaal takth sahib to sant ji instead of taking matters in their own hands. I am sure he wouldn't have been reject it..he would have accepted according to need of time given the fact he had immense respect for sikh institution like sri akaal takth sahib.

  21. Thing is, if you were part of a community attacked and displaced by white Europeans and unable to fight back, you'd probably join those who have achieved the most in resisting, attacking and defeating your enemy. Let's be frank, right now that people are Muslims. Apnay still seem confused about whether to join in with western imperialism or not - you can see this in the way that certain Gurdwaray open their arms to the British army without a second thought about whether the wars being fought by them are ethical/moral or not. It's an interesting point in my opinion. Thankfully, finding Panjabi canon fodder isn't as easy for whites today than it was in yesteryears. Maybe most of our lot have learned a lesson or two in this respect?

  22. i have in my possession a documentary called "The West", it is a 8 part series about how the europeans took over America, and it is absolutely enthralling. I knew some christians who were activley converting Native Americans, and i was appallled that after suffering what they have with the creation of the US, that anyone of native american ancestry would leave their culture and join another, especially one of the abrahamic ones. The native american culture has nothing in common with abrahamic religions, more so it is in common with what is called "eastern philosophies".

This one SIngh got ill and parallel to the yaadghar sewa, Baba Harnam Singh also fed and gave medicine to the ill Singh. Bhai Amrik SIngh Ajnala seems to be lost, not found his path in life, filled with anger and bitterness. People -meet with Baba Harnam Singh, go with an open mind, his positive chardi kala energy itself will convince you that this mahapurkh is here on this earth with a mission which very few people have yet to understand. I hope Bhai Amrik SIngh Ajnala will also see this one day and with humility accept Baba Harnam Singh as mukh sewadaar of the Taksaal and may Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala also one day be blessed with undertaking sewa with Baba Harnam SIngh ji.

  25. Absolutely hit the nail on the head, bro. If our community could understand this we wouldn't be having these problems and Sikh families would be strong, making a strong community and strong nation. Our girls have become lawyers, doctors, managers.......how many mothers do we have who know how to bring up kids properly ? The day our girls become proper mothers, we won't have to ask others for raaj, it will come and fall at our feet. The most important thing is character and once this is lost everything is lost. In addition to avoiding secular values we need to stay away from feminism which our lot are trying to present as being part of Sikhi, which it is most definitely not. We are paying a heavy price for abandoning our old culture/values and adopting this modern day gutter culture where sharam, izzat, anakh have no value.

  26. If you can't convince them to bow at Krishna and Ram Chandars feet, then guilt them and force them to bow at these devis feet who are trying to attain mukti themselves still. Honestly i see no difference between this thread and how the Mughals physically forced others to convert to Islam. The Mughals twisted the Koran, got Islam scholars to twist and bend the Koran, among other religious text, presented a biased view and if that still didn't work on you then twist the person arm till they submit. Constantly this forum is targeted by a biased group to make Sikhs bow at Krishna's feet. If you don't accept these posters baseless and twisted post, then you are insulted constantly over and over again. On one hand if another presents one tuk of Gurbani then they are taking it out of context. If this group does it, then its proper. All common sense has been thown out the door. Show us where Satguru ever said Hindu Sikh? Hindu means theif, this title was put on those that worshipped stones by the Muslims. If someone wants to call themselves a theif Sikh, then go right ahead, but Satguru never spoke like this. Also anyone that wears a kirpan and keeps hair is a Sikh? Sorry, but wearing a pure garb doesn't make you pure (Sri Anand Sahib). Actions make a person what they are, unless this group wants to claim the Solak of Sri Japji Sahib is false, then we can say garb. Regardless what is said on this thread, the biased group will always try to shove their propaganda down Sikhs throats. I am not going to waste my time on these pointless egotistical debates.............there are many Brahmins in this world.........let them bash their heads together and slander others. Don't let the intimidation tactics get to you. These groups are very skilled at intimidation.............they learnt from their brothers...fanatic Muslims If one of these intimidators approached me with this constant attitude......i wouldn't mind wiping the floor with him............bigger they harder they fall.

  28. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel it was right to get a beating for disrespecting bana by drinking alcohol, but practically don't think it should have been televised. Should have been done in a gupt manner. edit- Something needs to be done and without juthian in Punjab thugs don't listen. Juthian is the language in Punjab now a days. Many religions died out because their top most "religious" people became morally corrupt. If someone representing a farla can get away with drinking alcohol it would be horrible. It must be stopped. Not so sure why the media just happened to be there though. Deep inside my heart aches though. I wonder whether the fake nihang was addicted or couldn't handle the lifestyle. Not sure what was going on in his head. It was as if he wanted the chittar in the first video. Then again he could be doing it on purpose, but I doubt that. I know many fake nihangs drink alcohol in Punjab...

  32. Bhai Sahib, I have already explained the reasons why Gurbani is superior to Vedas but you have not provided any reasons for equating them. I have read Pandit Ji’s teeka but he does not explain the context. So you decided to take the literal interpretation and apply it to Gurmantar but as I have already proven, Gurbani advocates meditation upon Gurmantar so your interpretation is not correct. Vedas do not preach monotheistic concept of God so how can one obtain God by reciting such mantras that invoke demi gods and goddesses? It is not possible. Bhai Sahib, you still have not studied Gurbani meanings independently. Why? Why do you keep relying on whatever a certain preacher says without scrutinizing it? Gurbani is very clear that only Gurmantar must be meditated upon. All mantars are not equal. This does not mean all other mantars (kirtam names) are bad or fruitless but Gurbani gives no option or choice to anyone to pick any mantar for meditation. At the time of Amrit, Gurmantar is given and all rehatnamas support Gurmantar only. Perhaps you can ask Baba Hari Singh for his reasons but without any Gurbani support, it is not possible to validate his statement. Daas has written a detailed article on Gurmantar and this subject is discussed also. Hopefully, it will be published on internet soon. In the meantime, please provide any quotes from Gurbani that prove that any mantar can be chosen for Gurmantar and in that case also explain the dichotomy of why Gurmantar is advocated at the same time. In my defense, following proofs are enough. Describing superiority of Vaheguru, Bhai Veer Singh states: Vaheguru is the most superior name and takes one to the original state uniting with God that is ineffable. Being capable to taking one to the Mansion of the Lord, the true Primal Name is Vaheguru. (Bhai Veer Singh, Amar Lekh. p. 29) Kavi Santokh Singh in his monumental work GurPartap Sooraj Parkash writes: Satnam mantar (Word) is superior to all mantras and none other is equal to it. Vaheguru mantar is great and unites the entire humanity. (Kavi Santokh Singh, GurPartap Sooraj Parkash. Fie on that tongue, which remembers mantras other than the Guru-mantra. (Bhai Gurdas, Vaar 27, Pauri 10). Bhai Prehlaad Singh in his Rehatnama states: ਥਾਪ ਚਲਯੋ ਜੋ ਜਗਤ ਮੇ ਤਿਨਹਿ ਨਿਵਾਵਹੁ ਮਾਥ ॥ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਨ, ਮਿਥਿਆ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਾਥ ॥

Sham Anand Karaj is definitely off. 2. Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji is not taken to the Party hall instead 3. The corrupt Gurdwara committee is confronted and sent a strong message that the Sangat will not tolerate corruption in our Guru Ghars.

This should be a Judge led enquiry and ALL participants made to swear under oath. The Police failed to serve and protect. The CPS are meant to prosecute if there is enough evidence and also if a case is in the public interest. The Social Services provided no services to the children. Enough is enough the Police, CPS and Social Services need to be in the dock to answer for their failings. A public apology to Shere Panjab is in order after all they brought the issue up of grooming over a generation ago.

She goes to investigate, and discovers a dancing ghost. They fall in love, but can't be together because he is a ghost and she is still alive. Her mother forbids it. In fact, her mother calls Bhoot Busters to dispose of the romeo ghost. Watching her beloved getting sucked into a ghost vacuum cleaner, she pushes a random button on the vacuum to turn it off and save her beau. Instead, she presses the eject button and releases all of the ghosts that were being stored in the vacuum. The released ghosts then wreak havoc on the city by doing choreographed dances everywhere. Only true love can save the day.

  39. The best way to prevent our kuria from doing the kind of things they do is to stop their secular upbringing. When we give an innocent child secular values instead of religious values what will we expect them to do when they get young? obviously they will put khay on the heads of their parents(and the community). I still don't understand why everyone here blames the other community for targeting our girls. No one is putting a gun to the heads of our girls when they act slutty and go out with men from other communities and eventually get abused. If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned. Religious values need to be instilled into our kurian since childhood. Only then can we expect better results. Until then, expect more of our kurian doing the things they do. Look at Muslims, no matter how non religious they are, they will always give their girls religious values and keep them away from the secular values. Let's not forget that our young girls are the future mothers of the Sikhs. if they are going to go clubbing, drinking, go out with boys, what kind of values(sanskaars) are they going to pass on to their children? this is how societies decay and degrade. If a mother has rotten values, it is very likely that is what her children will also be.

  41. Guys we all have similar feelings for Dhuma, but lets not attack Chatanga Jee as being a GOI mole or Gaddaar. Chatanga jee supporting Dhuma and Rode is not a good thing but I feel Chatanga Jee's heart is clean. Other than this one thing, he has always taken a very Panthic stance on things. I feel he is one of us, but just on the wrong side.

  42. ^^^ heres one i wrote today inspired by humkires thread on love http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=42386 Love I once looked upon a star and fell in love with how bright it shone. Its radiance touched my soul. I spent countless nights wishing upon that star, I dreamt that such beauty would never fade and die. I spent a lifetime in love with a rose. From that special first day, I watched it slowly grow. Its roots spread within me and my eyes glowed with joy. I prayed it would be immortal, but inevitably its petals shrivelled and roots dried. I breathed only to see my true love the ocean. The waves crashing and swirling stirred up such emotions that my devotion to it was eternal. I sailed to its centre and swam to its heart so we would never be apart. But then my breaths stopped… As Guruji shot his arrow of love straight through me. Such a spectacle soaring through the heavens piercing my centre, my heart. Such a cataclysmic explosion within me that I felt as light as air, as powerful as a mountain, as humble as dust. In that moment, I lost all attachment, I subdued lust, I calmed my anger and I conquered my ego and greed. By gurujis love this manmukh was freed. Vjkk vjkf.
