  1. Well done to the Sikhs who got this rat dhunda off stage. Hope they can stop his program from as many gurdwaras as possible.

  2. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Some facts: A) Timestamp on this website is local to your timezone. Local time, per time stamp, was 8:14 PM. B) I am a pharmacist. As others in the medical profession will tell you, many of the medications being taken today are based on plants. Morphine and its many derivative compounds used as medication is derived from opium. Vinca alkaloids are derived from plants and are the basis of some powerful chemotherapy agents. Gila monster saliva is used to make a diabetes medication. Digoxin is derived from a very beautiful landscaping plant. Aspirin - tree bark and so on. This subject is of interest to many medical professionals, who know there are patients who are refractory to pharmacy available medicines and are taking cannabis compounds to treat their ailments with success. Rather than dismiss it, every medical professional has to keep his/her mind open to the treatment modalities which are effective and of benefit to patients. C) There are many patients that are able to get relief from cannabis use that have failed almost every other option and a wide variety of diseases, from pain, to glaucoma, inflammatory conditions, anxiety and others have been successfully treated despite being refractory to treatment with traditional Western medications. If anything, the side effect and lethality profile of cannabis compunds are very favorable to pharmacy available medications. D) CBD is a compound found in cannabis that is not addiction promoting (rather, it seems to counter the effects of THC - the compound that makes you high) and seems to have a multitude of benefits that are of medicinal nature benefit without the high. This chemical seems to have vast potential for medicinal use. E) Other medications - Marinol and Sativex - are established medications based on cannabis. E) The body has cannabis receptors. Compounds that work on cannabis receptors are also found in breastmilk of mothers. F) Poppy seeds, commonly used in Eastern cooking, has traces of opium on it, but its benefits are large and the traces of opium are not significant enough to consider it an intoxicant. Given all of the above, and given that Nihung Singhs also have vaids and hakeems amongst their midst practicing traditional Indian medicine and their practice of consumming cannabis, it is not a large stretch of the imagination to inquire whether there was a medicinal purpose to its use outside of pain control. Was there a more holistic effect that was desirable from the CBD dominant and THC minimal varieties of cannabis that were a rationale to using cannabis.

  3. actually after 20 plus years his tastes are totally changed : he hankers after dhal sabji , basmati rice, aloo parantha , can't eat without his achar now ... yep we do pasta , Black beans and rice etc ...but he's definitely desi at heart, his hajma cannot go back to long term withdrawal of spice ... Guys I could post the list of symptoms that I would use to prescribed cannibis indica to my patients homeopathically if you would like that gives the poisoning picture , acute disease states and also includes chronic disease effects which would respond , just give me the nod.

  5. Well, because a 'ball' by very definition, is a sphere shaped object and, by common sense, the thing Americans play with is obviously an oval egg shaped thing and the fact they use their hands to play with it rather than their foot........we call it 'American Hand Egg'.

  7. For someone who's been "reading jagsaw's comments for a while now on this forum" you obviously have the reading skills of an amazonian pygmy on acid. If you knew how to read, you will have noticed that I am this forum's most vocal critic of NKJ and see them as causing obscene long term damage to Sikhi. My grandfather...his father before him....and his father before him, as farmers in Punjab, regularly took opium. Not for the nasha, but because it "helped" them work the fields and stay awake. Thats "tradition" in eactly the same way you talk about the nihung's "tradition". The obvious difference of course comes with the use of the word 'work' because, as the whole of Punjab knows, if there's one thing that brings out an allergic reaction in a nihung it is the thought of doing actual work. Anyway, I'm not going to sit here and condone my fathers' use of opium in the name of 'tradition'. Tradition, 9 times out of 10, means bad things. Tradition is killing your unborn daughter.....tradition is asking for and accepting dowries.....tradition is performing hindu rituals. So lets examine the wonderful 'traditions' of the nihungs. Lets eamine their ways: This last week, 200,000 of them had gathered in Anandpur where they were throwing hindu holi colours at each other. Am I supposed to respect their 'tradition' or am I supposed to respect the verses in Gurbani where Guru ji states the futility of throwing colours on that day and how our tenth master ordered Singhs not to indulge in such practices ? 200,000 of them high as a kite pretending to be battle ready. But you tell me how a man with any cannabis in his body system could possibly partake in the Sikh art of warfare which requires 100% control of the senses, time awareness and hand-eye co-ordination ? This, in turn, explains why, while they claim to be battle ready, they have consistently failed to stand up for the panth and fight in the last 50 years. In the last 30 years Indians have gone on genocida massacre and rape sprees against us and the police has, according to international human rights groups, openly murdered a quarter of a million of us. Meanwhile, the junkie nihungs have been busy getting high and throwing hindu colours at each other like gay demented pansies still pretending to be 'ready for battle'. Talk to any Sikh in Punjab and 99.9% of them will tell you that the nihungs are the lazy drug addicts who become nihungs because they are afraid of real work and this nihung lifestyle gives them an opportunity to freely indulge their drug addictions. Our Guru ji, has been as clear as clear can be that a Sikh should never take any intoxicants. Only a mentally ill mental inpatient of a facility catering for the mentally ill with a big sign on the front saying 'Drop off your mentally ill here' would argue that bhang does not intoxicate the mind. Lets compare you junkie drug addict sorry excuses for 'Singhs' then, to a true chardi kala Singh of Sri Gobnd Singh Ji.........a man forever ready for battle....forever in his senses.....always working hard for a living.....never losing his ambition.....always getting on in life. The two are not compatible. Hard work used to be what marked a Sikh as a Sikh. So much so that foreign textbooks used to describe Sikhism as having a Calvinist outlook of life whereby hard work was a way to salvation. But look at many of you here now. Idiotic, uneducated romantic ideals of drugs. Idiotic uneducated romantic ideas about 'tradition'. Every last one of you here that espouse the use of drugs in Sikhi and try and use Sikhi as a way of justifying it is a lazy, dirty, useless, good for nothing waste of space prospective junkie that come from equally kanjar druggie families for, if they were not, they would have strangled such low lifes at birth.

  9. Jagsaw 'singh' your just a nindak. i feel sorry for you being constantly butthurt by the nihang singhs carrying out traditions that are centuries old. your probably one of the pro vegan, tree hugging NKJ rent boys that just bashed nihangs all day because of his own inadequacy. Ive been reading comments off this site for a while and it always seems to be you commenting on Nihang Singhs in a negative light when in actual fact without them you wouldnt exist. The Akali Nihangs including Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj follow maryada of degh and jhatka and without them doing so, you wouldnt be able to spout the utter <banned word filter activated> that you do day in and day out. By the way 'gulaal' is thrown on Holi to replicate blood as tradition which Guru Gobind Singh Ji started. Since you feel sorry for the goats, please go to Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib and try and stop the tradition. Take the cannabis off a nihang singh just as hes about to do ragra and see what happens to you. Seems to be a lot of talking <banned word filter activated> on your part and not much action. Same <banned word filter activated> from a fruity manmat following keyboard warrior.

  10. If it was just a few months back - then it was just a short while ago. It was magical because prayer was the one making it magical. You are supposed to keep and feel that magic alive everyday with the help of sangat, nitnem, regular prayer and also looking into your daily life and making necessary amends. Your heart does not seem to be where your mind was - basically you were not prepared to embrace a veg life - as you were reading a hukamnama and you were looking for every excuse to return back to your old ways. Meeting this man, you stopped your prayers. This is what should have been a warning sign to you. If you find yourself slipping from prayers, it is because one of the 5 thieves are approaching you. If you had been having a routine of sangat, good books, good friends, good prayer routine and some daily resolve e.g do chaupai everyday no matter what, you may have had the strength to resist. Your consciousness is warning you here. You want to stick with the rehat. You have realised your mistake before you have slipped down and it is too late. Time for action. More important than amrit at this stage is you having to make personal adjustments to your life for at least an year before taking amrit again. When you realise your mistake and decide to make amends, Guru Ji understands and forgives you. However sins are not just cancelled. You have to do Naam jap. This will help you make the necessary amends to your mental attitude. Make amends to your diet and read up on healthy veg options. Work on your routine. You still want to keep your hair which is good. I have known ladies who have given in to men - cut their forgotten everything and then.... its just a downward story from there. Be warned - there are men out there who are sikh and they will drag down sikh women and make all sorts of excuses in the name of religion to make you quit your amrit. AVOID SUCH COMPANY (And they are also very highly educated ones - which throws further sand into your eyes. LOOK FOR SADH SANGAT and good naam japan dhi company) You can Naam net if you want - it will help you motivated to keep up your Naam japp which is the most important for you at any stage. Regular Naam jap will also bring to you good company and good opportunities. When you are mentally ready - by all means go for Amrit - go and confess your wrong and take Amrit when you are more prepared to stay in rehat. Don't rush into things and fall into the pattern of taking Amrit over and over again. Magic is all in the Naam - as you have realised. Without it is all but a burning world out there - jagat jalandha. Use Naam to neutralise it.

  13. Good advice by Singh559 Paji. Go to a different Gurdwara. But you should also highlight your experience to the Gurdwara committee where you had the bad experience. It maybe that the person that asked your son to go to the langar hall may not have known of your son's disability and was probably thinking he/she is doing the right thing. So it's up to you to make them aware of any discrimination you have experienced, then let's see what they do. Nanaksar Isher Thath Gurdwara, Wolverhampton is welcoming to disabled children and adults. They had a programme on Include Me Too on Sikh Channel, last year. Most Gurdwaras I've been to in West Midlands are welcoming, so I'm sorry to hear about the experience you have at the Gurdwara you have mentioned. An organisation that you could contact for advise: Include Me Too. Penji Parmi does a great job in raising awareness of disabled children's equality, within communities. https://m.facebook.com/IMTOO/ http://www.includemetoo.org.uk Don't be put off by some people from one Gurdwara, Sikhi is all about equality. You may pm me if there is anything I can help you with.

  14. Benji, When you took amrit did the the panj piaray not say to refrain fromm meat/eggs/fish/alcohol? Then why veer from the maryadha you were given? Did you not know that a veggie diet was on the cards? So now you have violated your amrit willingly so need to present yourself to the panj piaray. I would stay away from this guy you have met, he has drowned and he will drag you down as well. If he is a 'Sikh' of Guru Nanak then does he not know that there is no difference between Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji? That the jyote was the same that the mission stated by Guru Nanak was completed by the tenth Nanak Guru Gobind Singh Ji?

  15. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh There is famous proverb "Prevention is better than cure" Meaning, it's easier to stop something happening in the first place than to repair the damage after it has happened. Think about marriage first ! Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh

  17. There actually are health benefits associated with tobacco, 'Nicotine is an anti-inflammatory agent and has been shown, among other things to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s, as well as delay the onset of Parkinson’s disease.' * At the end of the day the issue is not employ but abuse. If one was to obtain gout by consuming too much food who or what is at fault? The consumer who consumes excessively or the food? * http://sorendreier.com/tobacco-a-forgotten-healing-plant/

  18. People post their worst moments on here because they don't have nobody to talk to, otherwise they wouldn't post on here, You are a very judgmental person, and this attitude breaks people from Sikhi, not help them to towards coming to Sikhi. Whatever method has worked for you, doesn't mean it's going to work for somebody else, you are right we are not perfect, but we should also not put somebody down for asking advice, as the OP would have took a lot of courage to write on here. So if you haven't been in that situation, then don't belittle somebody.
