You complain about Dhunda not having the freedom to speak his mind. This is false because he has countless youtube videos where he speaks his mind and then retracts what he says because the crowd would reject his views. He also has been caught joining two separate tuks of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji on different angs in an question and answer session. Yet his supporters never spoke up against him. It took a Singh who accepts Gurbani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji to point out his mistake. So who respect Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji more? Sri Charitorpakyan comes at the end of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. When a child comes of age, he or she will be introduced to the teachings of Sri Charitorpakhyan. If you have a problem with Sri Charitorpakhyan, pull your child out of middle school because students are sexist and speaking about sex at a young age and even the schools teach about sex. I would rather have my Guru teach my children about the dangers of kaam than have some manmukh. The stories in Sri Charitorpakhyan are there to influence a person away from adultery, sex acts before marriage, falling for the opposite sex as the be all and end all, not devaluing the strength of women, not accepting every decision made at face value, the punishment for falling to kaam, how the world around you is going to behave around you because they fully indulge in maya, etc. Sant Maskeen Singh ji said, those who can't read Sri Charitorpakhyan without being ashamed are the problem and not Sri Charitorpakhyan. He used harsh words, but I will not because mod's will think I am using that tone. According to your post, I can understand you did not even grasp the ability of how Guru Sahib used Devi and devta names in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji or Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji. Here is a direct question to see how much hindophobhia you have. Was any of the Devi or Devta saved? If so, who and where did you get your information from? Very basic and simple question for those who contemplate over Gurbani. Let's see if you even attempt to answer this question. We, who accept Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji as Guru Sahib Bani, do not hide any shabads of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji from the sangat because it will disapprove what I as a lowly insect is saying. Dhunda and co. are famously known for this act. When directly challenged they run off or show up 3 hours late to a discussion and have one of their supporters purposely cause a chaos to end the discussion. Honest men do not hide from discussion. If Dhunda was following the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, he would not be scared of open discussions.

  6. See originally the missionaries came out attacking only Charitropakhyan because its an easy target. But now they have not even spared Nitnemi Banis of Jaap Sahib, Chaupi Sahib and Svaiye. What is objectionable in these Banis? They are just pure Ustat of Vaheguru. These Banis are crucial because they are read out by the Panj Pyaras when preparing Amrit. If these Banis are discarded then there can be no Amrit and no Amrit means no Khalsa. All Shakti we get is from Bani. It gives us strength to fight against our enemies.

  8. Ask yourself why he needed to state it in the first place, if he is stating the obvious. There it is. It's pornography if it's intention is to arouse sexual feelings in someone. Sri CharitroPakhyan Granth is not intended to do that. People who can only see some words and not beyond, get stuck on these words? Why? Because they have the same vikaar in their mind to begin with. Only a person obsessed with pornogrphy would describe Sri CharitroPakhyan as such. Just like your mentor and inspiration Khushwant Singh did. he used the same words for this granth, and you could see where his mind was at from his own writings. OUR Master of the beautiful written word and poetic verse has done just that. He has given us a Granth to make us think so deeply about our own behaviour and interaction with others but wrapped a layer of intrinsic covered intellect and wisdom under a cloak of base human desires to discern the wheat from the chaff. Why would you be ashamed to use words from Guru Granth Sahib such as the ones i have listed above? Are you now feeling ashamed of Guru Granth Sahib and Guru Nanak Dev Ji's literary magic? Come on West London Singh Sahib! You dare to insult your Guru's intentions? It isn't the Guru who lacked in writing skills (in either Granth) but man's own lack of understanding. It again brings me back to the use of the words in Guru Granth Sahib. Couldn't Guru Nanak Sahib have found other words than breasts and nipples? Don't throw "large chunks of the Sikh population" in our face. You haven't taken any poll into this and neither have I. People who I have personally interacted with, are aware of the use of words in Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth but totally unaware of the same words in Guru Granth Sahib. They could use the same argument you have used above. "How could Guru Nanak Dev Ji use such words?" couldn't they?

I've not been posting on this thread, but sometimes read it when I get time, and it's sad to see the negative comments on somebody's personal life. Is that how one would talk to their own sister or daughter? We should be looking at our own lives, that includes myself too, and as another female I feel the need to defend JKVlondon penji, whether somebody likes it or not, that's not what Sikhi teaches us. Sharam karo thori jehi, je baut vi nai karni. Nobody knows each other here, so why the need to send out such insults. Pela apne val dekiye, fer kise nu na keho ji.   14. One thing you will notice for sure is that Nindaks of Dasam Bani are usually the worldly educated type, but they lack spirituality at the right level. We are not even dung beetles compared to the Gursikhs who believed in Dasam Granth Sahib in its entirety. One thing these pare hoi mooraks (educated fools) cannot compete with is the avastha of previous Sants of Taksal at Mehta, Bhindri and Bhoparai, Bhai Randhir Singh, Sant Harnam Singh Rampur Khere Wale, Puratan Sampardas etc all who promoted Dasam Bani and did katha of it. By questioning the Bani we automatically question these Jewels of the Panth. It is not entertainment of any sort and neither are the tales literal but a moral guide to teach, caution and protect us from base desires. Guru Sahib is above this base level of thinking and was not stuck in the material world like we are so the writings are difficult to comprehend, but we need to remember this is not limited to Dasam Bani. Chatanga has already pointed out some tuks in Guru Granth Sahib that anti DG brigade cannot explain, there are more that mention wiles of women in Bhai Gurdas Ji Vaars that these type will question and remove it they had their way! When children are at the age to understand the moral message behind the tales and not in a one dimensional blinkered view, I see no reason why this Bani should be avoided. Ultimately we can argue about yet another ridiculous controversy until we are blue in the face, it's unlikely to change the thinking of those who find the writings hard to swallow and will just cause another big rift in the Panth and one we can do without.

  15. Jagsaw regarding the Hindu deities or Hinduism. Problem with Dhunda and missonaries is that they dont interpret Dasam Bani according to Sikhi but rather they do it according to Hinduism. Take the example if the shabad Deh Shiva Barmohe Eahe. Dhundu and say Shiva here mean Shiva the Hindu God. But the entire Sikh world know it means Vaheguru not some Hindu God. Even a 10 year old child in Punjab knows this much. Yet these so called professors dont even know this much. And I want to know is how can a person become a professor if they are only 10th or 12th grade pass. While they interpret Dasam Bani through Hinduism, but they interpret Bani of SGGS jee through atheism. For example they reject the existence of things mentioned in Bani such as Dharam Rai, Jamdoots, reincarnation. They say since science does not support their existence then it must not be true. For them the Gurus were just ordinary human beings no different from you and me. According to them Gurus are incapable of miracles so they reject Panja Sahib Saakhi or the Makkah rotation Saakhi. so how are they any different than atheists? That is why increasingly more and more Sikhs are calling them Atheists and Nastiks.

  16. Correct. You have to take into account the context in which some words are used. SGGS mentions the Hindu Gods many times over as does Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth, but both in the same context, as creations of, and subservient to, Sri Akal. You can't use one law of interpretation in one granth and then use another for the other.

  17. Where in Sri Dasam Granth does it explore such details as "the sensual pleasure of penises entering vaginas", or treat this as something to be celebrated? If you actually read it then it quickly becomes apparent that Charitropakhyaan is a condemnation of lust, not a toast to it. Sri Dasam Granth frequently mentions sex, it's true. But talking about something isn't the same as approving of something. And we're going to have to talk some truth about sex if we want to resist its dangers. Would you talk to someone about the hazards of overeating without mentioning food? It would be impossible. So how could you talk to somebody about kaam without mentioning sex? In Sikhi we face the world and it's evils, we don't run far away from them and bury our heads in the sand. That's the behavior you'd expect of a Hindu sadhu/yogi, not a Singh or Singhni of the Guru. You're a Singh Jagsaw, stop behaving like some Victorian dowager countess gasping aloud every time she hears something risque.

  18. The punishment that was meted out to Indra for raping the brahmin's wife was translation from hindu scriptures illustrating the unworthiness of these 'deities' for worship . The punishment was exactly that , what do you want to do revise the truth of the actual text? Chitropakhiyan - If a parent was to talk about sex to their child there would have to be some body parts in that conversation , same as well with avoiding sexual misconduct/ avoiding negative and exploitative people ... Guru ji deals in Unvarnished truth ...sorry to break it to you but if you can only fixate on body parts etc then you are not mature enough. obviously a child will not be able to understand besides do you expose your children to age inappropriate images, texts in other ways ? This is for grown ups male and female to avoid corruption and not to be naive about people.

  20. People misunderstand the usage of sukha/shaheedi degh in purataan times you couldn't go to the pharmacy and buy a pack of paracetamol or nurofen. Yes there is misuse the days of sukhnidaan with excessive amounts of cannabis which is purely for nasha, this needs to be addressed. There are however certain segments of the panth whom for some strange reason seen to be hell bent on distorting and rewriting Khalsa Puratan history. Puratan Singhs were jhatka eating, sukha/cannabis using nihangs .... Get over it . The evidence is there from Puratan texts, oral history go and speak to the jathedars or elders within any Puratan samprada they will confirm this.

Seeing her, Indra was enticed. ਸਹਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਚਿਹਨ ਭਗ ਹੂਏ ਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਪਛੋਤਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ When he received a thousand vaginas on his body, then he felt regret in his mind. ||1|| or: ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ First Mehl: ਉਤੰਗੀ ਪੈਓਹਰੀ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਗੰਭੀਰੀ ॥ O you with swollen breasts, let your consciousness become deep and profound. ਸਸੁੜਿ ਸੁਹੀਆ ਕਿਵ ਕਰੀ ਨਿਵਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਥਣੀ ॥ O mother-in-law, how can I bow?   23. I state the obvious only because I'm skeptical whether you have actually read Dasam Bani. If you had then I don't see why you'd be insisting that it goes into 'pornographic detail', because Guru Sahib doesn't furnish us with very many details at all in these tales. Indeed he rarely goes further than saying that so and so 'made love'. I've yet to come across anything about the pleasure that ensues when someone's manhood slips into a v4gina, or anything else rendered with such obsessive specificity as you seem to believe. I wonder whether these pornographic details aren't simply some colorful imaginings based on rumors you've heard about Charitropakhyaan. No, I don't know that. But I am more confident in my belief that many of these anti-Charitropakhyaan types oppose the Tenth King's Bani out of a selfish attempt to expiate themselves of the guilt and self-loathing they feel when their gandheh minds lead them to become aroused when reading Sri Charitropakhyaan, or when their active imaginations embellish it with raunchy details not otherwise specified. This is no poor reflection of the Bani itself, but only of their own corrupt thinking. Plenty of people are able to read this Bani like mature and dignified Gursikhs. The others have some growing up to do. And when they ask what exactly this 'sex' is? You'll have to create a story about someone's manhood entering something, unless you want to leave them in the dark forever. There is no healthy way to avoid talking about this, a fact which was not lost on Guru Sahib.

  25. These rats cannot be convinced. The onus is for as many Sikhs and Gurdwaras to counter their parchar, (which is very vigorous online) by having talks on Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth. One thing that definitely help is if SGPC starting doing parkash of this Holy Granth at Takhts as was done before they took over. This would introduce wider sangat to Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth. The other thing is to give free literature on the Holy Granth as well. Plus IMO no Granthi, katha vachak, kirtani, sikh leader should be allowed to speak from any Gurdwara until they have confirmed with gurdwara committee that they fully believe in Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth.

I want to highlight the fact that Guru Sahib has used the word "<banned word filter activated>" or "ਭਗ" in Guru Granth alongside the words "breasts" and "nipples". Jagsaw feels that some parts of Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth cannot be discussed with his wife and children because of the words used, whereas the same words are used in Guru Granth Sahib.

  38. Sikhs have every right to be suspicious of Indian army after what happened during the 80s/90s. But izlamic militants are far worse in my opinion. You have izlamic ideology that preaches hate. VS corrupt government officials that hated sikh minorities and others who dont look upon minorities as equal. As well as corrupt Brahman caste system that loves to be in power with great amounts of wealth. I dont know who did it, there were opinions/witnesses from both sides. We also know moslims lie, like they blame everything on America for the cause of islamic terrorism, to take the heat off their hateful cult called izlam I wouldnt be surprised if jihadists did it, i wouldnt be surprised if hindu army had a hand in this.

Dhunda takes another U-Turn at Milpitas Sikh Temple in California0 1,287 Views Bay Area: Sarabjt Dhundha, a controversial missionary, delivered provocative sermons ridiculing Bani of Guru Gobind Singh and Sikh traditions for past several years. This finally resulted in massive protests during his California tour in April 2016. Bhai Dhunda was scheduled to speak at AGPC Gurudwara sahib at Milpitas,CA for five days from April 17 to 21. There were peaceful protests against him and his hosts outside Gurudwara gate as protestors were barred from entering Gurudwara sahib by the police at the direction of Gurdwara committee. Video Player Finally, on April 20th, a meeting was arranged between Bhai Sarbjit Singh Dhundha and Panthic Singhs. Bhai Dhundha’s arrived about three and half hours late for the meeting. While the meeting was originally scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm, it did not start till after 6:30 pm due to the delay in arrival of Bhai Dhunda. It was due to the time lost because of this delay in arrival, that several controversies raised by Bhai Dhunda and other issues could not be discussed and still remain pending. Sources have told Sikh Sangat News that one person accompanying Bhai Dhundha was attempting to disrupt the proceedings, leading to a further waste of time. He made many attempts to scuttle this meeting by raising irrelevant points. He continued to do this in spite of several warnings by moderators. It was because of the restraint exercised by the Panthic Singhs that the meeting continued. Dr. Harbhajan Singh was not allowed to speak freely (he spoke less than 10 mins in the meeting which lasted an hour) but the Sikh Sangat still kept their peace for that day and announced not to go with the protest. The meeting was adjourned when some people interrupted it, stating that Bhai Dhunda was scheduled to perform Katha in the main Darbar Hall. Of the several issues which Bhai Dhunda has reportedly accepted the position of the Panth include: Accepting that the three Banis namely Jap Sahib, Tav Prasad Swaiye and Chaupai Sahib are indeed compositions of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. These Banis are a part of the daily Nitnem of a Sikh and are also read during preparing Khande di Pahul by the Panj Piaray. He accepted that his using disrespectful language for the Sri Dasam Granth Sahib during a recent interview in Canada was due to a ‘slip of tongue’. He initially denied that he had used any derogatory language, but confessed upon seeing the video clip of that interview he had done in Canada. He was then asked to refrain being disrespectful to the Granth of the Tenth Master in future. He also accepted that it is a recommended practice for the Sikhs to do Nam Simran by repeating the Gurmantra at Amrit vela, as described in Sikh Rehat Maryada. Points that still remain to be resolved include: Bhai Dhundha’s remarks in regards to the Sarbat Khalsa held in Nov 2015. In one of the interviews he had mentioned that he, not only, did not consider it a Sarbat Khalsa but also stated that the 6-7 lakh individuals who participated in that historic meet was a crowd of people gathered from the roadside and they were not Sikhs but followers of Deredars and under influence of Radhasoamis. He still needs to apologize for these insulting remarks to soothe the feeling of the Sikhs His continued sarcastic remarks against Sikh traditions and history which dates back to the period of the Guru Sahiban. He needs to clarify his position about and continued close association with excommunicated persons like Darshan Singh Ragi and Inder Singh Ghagha etc. Those members of the Sikh Sangat deserve to be thanked whose tireless protests against the controversial utterances of Bhai Dhunda compelled him to come to the table and accept the authenticity of three out of five Nitnem Banis as being composed by Guru Gobind Singh ji and the concept of Nam Simran as instructed by Guru Sahiban and enshrined in Sikh Rehat Maryada.
