Do these people do this fasting stuff because its fun or because they actually believe fasting will increase their husband's life because I know a sikh lady who used to do this karwachauth stuff with such fervour and then her husband passed away at a very young age. Fair point, I should probably do more research on who I quote next time. I'm still fairly new to Sowell and his writings. However, my point still stands that Sowell has important points which cannot be ignored and which DO play a part in what's going on in the Black Community and which are contributing to what we are discussing in this topic. The fact that it's coming from Sowell does not entirely and necessarily make it invalid by itself. Many others (non 'sell out' blacks) are saying this too. Not everything he is saying is incorrect even though yeah I agree, he does seem to downplay a lot of stuff and I should probably not have quoted him (I have to do more research on this btw but you are probably correct). Your last point about having some intelligent grasp of the background context of the community. This is where I sense you are implying Afro Caribbean trauma is the main cause (I may be wrong in my assumption here). What I feel people like yourself (maybe) are still missing is that the main cause of this is what I have said a couple of times in this thread i.e. the blacks cannot be racist rhetoric. This is what's causing this. It's allowing the genuine racists in their community to breed to high levels (every race has them). No accountability and no responsibility regardless of the causes. You know you'd be better off making your arguments without having to rope in recognised 'Uncle Toms'. This is the issue. It's really not a few lmao! I have been aware of this issue for 2 decades and you see hundreds upon hundreds of such posts and comments all over social media. You see scores of blacks defending the racist beating of an old chinese man on youtube. Plus who has said anything about writing them off, that's your issue, you are interpreting this as some sort of weird attack against them. Do you know how many times I have seen Blacks write on youtube, twitter or wherever, 'Indians hate blacks'. 'Most of them hate us'. 'They are all white skin worshipping devils' etc. This is the toxic mindset that is endemic in significant sections of their community and if it is not challenged will only lead to more hateful attacks (it not being the only reason they are attacking us mind you). I have seen this literally hundreds if not well over a thousand times. Why does this not fire you up as much as when Punjabis are highlighting there is a racism problem coming from this community.

SinghPunjabSingh, I said I agreed with your points 1,2,3 and 4. I agree with some of it but not totally. If you really want to open your mind to what's really going on you need to listen to some stuff from Thomas Sowell (he is Black himself btw).

No one including me are not saying 'most'. What we are highlighting is that there is a problem from a subsection of these communities that needs to be talked about without getting shamed for it. It is not limited to 2 out of 50 million African Americans or 'one lone mixed race guy' lol. As DallySingh has pointed out, it differs by area. But there is a legit problem from this community to other ethnic minorities. I have personally experienced racism from Blacks and have had friends who went to war with West Indian and Somali crews over racial issues where the Blacks instigated it. For God's sake, my Sociology teacher even taught the class back when I was in college about a similar case where Jamaicans started attacking Indians (it was actually even included in a textbook from what I remember), the Punjabi boys fought back and ended up with criminal records etc. You can't deny these facts just because 'you have never experienced any of it'. You scroll through youtube videos and reddit, you have scores (I have seen literally close to a thousand over the years) of American born Chinese, Indians and even Mexicans complaining about the most racist experiences they ever encountered were from black guys in school growing up getting bullied with racial slurs and physically attacked, mugged etc. You simply cannot deny this. To do so is evil. The mixed race racism to Asians is also and mainly stemming from the simple fact we are getting a double whammy of prejudice (when they are prejudice that is) from the white side of the family and the black side. You really really underestimate and don't understand how Asians are seen as 'the other'. These two communities will often gang up on Asians together (not talking only gang stuff here, but in general life too, not mixing even in work situations etc). The Somalis used to be attacked and bullied by West Indians when they arrived in this country. But the tables have turned now.

I'm not as old school as you, I came slightly after. But I know guys from back then and heard lots of stories, also did a lot of research. That's good to hear those boys are still tough, rough and ready. It's interesting you say that because whenever I look at that generation, who would have grown up around the NF days, many of them seem to have some flair about them that makes them seem much more alpha and 'hardened' then the younger generation (below me) of today. You had boys who were aware and 'woke' for Asian issues but they were the minority. I think they are now at an all time low. I'm so glad you notice that, the difference between the N word and the P word and how it is still sometimes fully spelt out. I literally emailed dailymail about this recently lol.
