I am all up for taking amrit from samparda especially puratan samparda, but first in words of sant kartar singh bhindranwale, we should consider taking amrit from any of 5 takths out of satkaar because panj takths are consider to be five pillars in khalsa panth. They have more authority to adminster amrit sanchar than samparda's. Samparda's/jathas have full authority as well no doubt but first one should consider taking it from any of five takths. If you live in abroad then go ahead explore take amrit from wherever.

this mite be abit controversial but i disagree. Yes in theory they are the pillars of Gurmat and the Khalsa Panth, but you are not taking amrit from the institution, you are taking amrit from the panj pyare, if the panj pyare dont have good jeevan then there is less benefit. I beleive that the rehat followed and given to abhilakhees is not the best jeevan builder. The panj at these places dont believe in the whole rehat and then tell others its ok to do stuff which isnt rehat aswell. I think think that amrit should only be taken where there are KAMAYEE vale Panj Pyare who in turn guide the abhilakhees with good rehat. Amrit should also be taken at a place where proper amrit sanchar maryada is followed.

Places like akj, ddt etc, in my opinion do tend to choose more kamayee vale panj, after the point where you know kamayee vale panj will be chosen, its a matter of what you believe to be rehat. For example i beleive that keski is kakkar,, and also think that naam dhrir is important, i also know that akj choose panj with good naam kamayee so therefore it only makes sense.... similarily singh_khalsa beleives in taksals views on rehat...

At the end of the day the two most important things are KAMAYEE of the Panj, and their REHAT, which will be the rehat given to those taking amrit.

Can I ask why a Taksal one? Isn't amrit, amrit regardless of whom has organised it?

Taskal is a puraatan Jatha, its fine for them to go there and they give a good rehitnama.

No offence, but why question when you have the Taksaal Logo?

I'm not questioning anything. Just curious as to why Bhaji wanted to know about the Taksaal amrit sanchaar in particular.

I took amrit from my local Gurdwara..who don't belong to any jatha. But I have decided to take up the Taksaal rehit. Hence the logo!

I just get really annoyed when ppl ask if I'm amritdari then ask from whom have I taken amrit from! I always answer I have taken the amrit of Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

That is why asked...
