Sikhs To Form Suicide Squads ?

Recommended Posts

MarJeevrah, lets look at this in more detail, what is MarJeevrah?

Marjeevrah is a very spritual person who has attained valuable 'bhakti' who seems dead on this world but his atma is not here in the world, it is in sachkhand, he not attached to worldy things, he is at peace, he loves everyone, even when hes dead, he will seem alive.

MarJeevrah is suicide, far from it, dont get in to the wrong context.

Three types of Sikhs according to state of mind are follows...sant is just not mere label but it's a state of mind.

1. Murid/Sikh/Sikh- First are those who have taken Guru di Sikh ie-Amrit and have faith in Guru. Sometimes do seva of Gurughar and sometimes backs off.

2. Murid Eh Sadik/Sidki Sikh/Sanmukh Sikh: Second are those who have gained full sidak and their mind never wanders around in vishaie/vikara/vices and have full faith and devotion.

3. Murid Eh Fidaie/Marjeva Sikh/Gurmukh Sikh: Third are those who have given tan(body), man(mind), dhan for seva and giving head to the Guru its normal thing.

Kabir Kaosuti Ram Ki Jhota Teka Nai Jai ||

next line goes something else..if i m wrong..i m so soorry to guru ji..if someone can verify it.that be great.

Ram Kaousti jo Karie Jo MarJiva Hoi ||

True, but its not a suicide concept, Shaheedi in other forms is just i.e. battle not suicide, suicide never gains mukhti

True, but its not a suicide concept, its not a physical thing, its in spiritual sense, its a person who has given his body to the Guru even though he is on earth already after attaining the bhakti

Marjiva sikh should not be insulted by describing as sucide sqad(new age term) but shaheed of guru sahiban.

Marjiva sikh can be described in many forms- be marjiva by beating 5 vices, give dhan, man, tan to guru and be imbued in his naam ras/ be vedah mukht/immortal to sitting on hot tava while doing peaceful protest( sri guru arjan dev ji) to attain shaheediya while serving the enemy despite of having double forces (see- classic example of baba bir singh nauranbad shaheedi) getting shaheeidya to shaheedi of bhai taru singh have his head scalped and who promised the sangat that he will take jakriya with him jootiya mar mar kaie and many more.

Here is an interesting post on this topic:

There was a time when peaceful protest ment sitting on a hot tava, or being boiled, having your head removed.

You compare that to picking up a sword. Now a days a gun, easy to kill an enemy without even seeing his face from affar, thats easy. Comming face to face with your enemy and still having the face of compassion of humality and of restraint, that is true strength.

That is the strength our Gurus led and left our legacy for. Sikh ithas is full of those examples. Lets hope we set examples here and not pages we would want ot skip over of Sikh history in the making.

Very true, I agree, but on this occasion there wasnt a physical counter, only an insult and this cant be justified. We can only battle if Sikhi was truely physically attacked.

By Sahib ur knowledge is very broad and very true!

you are right, enemy is not in the battlefield there is no face to face encounter. it doesnt seem like dera leader wants to come in battlefield

In that case, all the peaceful means should be fatigued with him, there should be mediator who understand both sides and try to negotiate/bring both parties to compromise. negotiator shouldnt have any personal bias, should try the best to get an formal apology from the other side.

and I most definately agree...they should not go around and destroying the dera (persumably the place where they worship the almighty, thats going to far) but they should accept an apology and punishment should be that he should follow Guru Nanak Dev ji's example and give the wealth to the poor and needy and this would suffice.

This thread shows what's wrong with Sikhi at the moment. Someone makes a statement in Punjab that they will set up MARJEEVREH squads, the BBC which doesn't know anything about Sikhism instead of looking at what the term is translates it wrongly as SUICIDE SQUADS. Rather than look at what the basis is of that report and check whether it is a unbiased report by the BBC some people on here from the newsreport take SUICIDE SQUADS to mean SUICIDE BOMBERS.

MARJEEVREH have been around since the 1920s when the Akalis used MARJEEVREH Jathas who were non-violent to kick the Udasi Mahants out of the Gurdwaras. In the 1980s Sant Jarnail Singh called for the setting up of MARJEEVREH Jathas as well.
