Sikhs To Form Suicide Squads ?

Recommended Posts

This is bull.......the "Suicide Squads" the media is talking about are not "Bombers" but a Jatha of Khalsa Singhs that are willing to give their heads in order to end the reign of this Fake Baba. The media considers this to be "suicide" because anyone that is willing to "die/be killed" is "suicidal".

Marjiva sikh should not be insulted by describing as sucide sqad(new age term) but shaheed of guru sahiban.

Marjiva sikh can be described in many forms- be marjiva by beating 5 vices, give dhan, man, tan to guru and be imbued in his naam ras to sitting on hot tava while doing peaceful protest( sri guru arjan dev ji) to attain shaheediya while serving the enemy despite of having double forces (see- classic example of baba bir singh nauranbad shaheedi) and getting shaheeidya to shaheedi of bhai taru singh have his head scalped and who promised the sangat that he will take jakriya with him jootiya mar mar kaie.

Here is an interesting post on this topic:

There was a time when peaceful protest ment sitting on a hot tava, or being boiled, having your head removed.

You compare that to picking up a sword. Now a days a gun, easy to kill an enemy without even seeing his face from affar, thats easy. Comming face to face with your enemy and still having the face of compassion of humality and of restraint, that is true strength.

That is the strength our Gurus led and left our legacy for. Sikh ithas is full of those examples. Lets hope we set examples here and not pages we would want ot skip over of Sikh history in the making.

Very true, I agree, but on this occasion there wasnt a physical counter, only an insult and this cant be justified. We can only battle if Sikhi was truely physically attacked.

By Sahib ur knowledge is very broad and very true!

you are right, enemy is not in the battlefield there is no face to face encounter. it doesnt seem like dera leader wants to come in battlefield

In that case, all the peaceful means should be fatigued with him, there should be mediator who understand both sides and try to negotiate/bring both parties to compromise. negotiator shouldnt have any personal bias, should try the best to get an formal apology from the other side.

Very true, what honour is there is defeating a non-combatant an easy victory and one that will make a martyr of him. If anything his face should be blackened he should be placed on a donkey with a garland of shoes and marched from Maja to Malwa with a brass band of course! You can just see the tourists looking at each other and saying

“ zero emissions and no congestion charge, what a way to travel, mayor Ken would love this”

Here is part of the Jaito Morcha story covering Shahidi Jathas, interestingly revisionist historians say that the British supported the Akalis, can't see much of that here.

'On February 9 1924, 500 Akalis marched from the Akal Takht, receiving unprecedented welcome in villages and towns through which they passed. S. Zimand, a New York Times correspondent who witnessed the jatha on the march, observed: "The Jatha was moving in perfect order and non-violence with large crowds of public on its right and left, five Nishan Sahibs in the front and Guru Granth in the middle."

On 20 February 1924, the jatha reached Bargari, a village on Nabha-Faridkot border, barely 10 km from Jaito. about 150 meters from Gurdwara Tibbi Sahib stood the Nabha administrator, Wilson Johnston, with a large force of state constabulary. On 21 February, the jatha marched on towards the Gurdwara, refusing to stop or disperse as demanded by Wilson Johnston. The administrator ordered the army to open fire. In two volleys of fire lasting about five minutes, several fell dead. The official estimate of the casualties was 19 dead and 29 injured. The Akali figures were much higher. The firing on the peaceful jatha of Akalis caused resentment throughout the country. On 28 February 1924, another 500-strong Shahidi jatha left Amritsar for Jaito where it was taken into custody on 14 March. Thirteen more 500-strong jathas reached Jaito and courted arrest. Sikh jathas also came from Canada, Hong Kong and Shanghai to join the campaign. The Governor of the Punjab, Sir Malcolm Hailey, tried the policy of creating a schism in the community by having parallel Sikh Sudhar Committees representing moderate and pro- government sections. A 101-strong jatha was allowed to perform an akhand path at Jaito. But this did not conciliate the general Sikh opinion, nor did it affect the tempo of the agitation. On the issue of the Akalis being allowed to perform an akhand path at Jaito, the government was prepared to start negotiations through Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and Bhai Jodh Singh, but it was adamant on the question of making restitution to the deposed Maharaja of his state. In the meantime, the Punjab Government introduced in the Legislative Council the Sikh Gurudwaras Bill which was unanimously passed on July 7 1925. After the bill was passed, Sir Malcolm Hailey, Governor of the Punjab, announced during his speech in the Punjab Legislative Council that the Administrator of Nabha would permit the bands of pilgrims to precede for religious worship to Gurdwara Gangsar at Jaito. The announcement was followed by the release of most of the Akali prisoners arrested in the course of the restrictions on the performance of akhand path and the Akalis starting a series of 101 such recitations which was concluded on August 6, 1925.

Our Guru Jee's didn't accept suicide AT ALL. We have NO right to give or take life - ALL the births and deaths that happen are in Vaheguru's Hukum - only himself can he say who is born and who dies.

Jeeo Pi(n)dd Sabh Thaerai Paas, Thoo Maar Jeevaalehi Bakhas Milaae

The soul and body are all at your (Vaheguru's) mercy. You yourself take and rejuvenate. You forgive and merge us into yourself - Guru Nanak Dev Jee, Raag Gauree, Ang 154

Apanaa Chithaviaa Har Karai Jo Maerae Chith n Hoe

The Lord does whatever the lord wishes; it is not up to me at all - Bhagat Kabeer Jee, Salok Kabeer Jee, Ang 1376

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
