What Is The Need? (rebellious Sikhism)

I was wondering what is the need of Khalistan? , Well I know the whole background about 1984 and aftermath , and debates about Sikhs being unequally treated at different places etc etc. But its all leading to a very protesting-wing of Sikhism , I see young people wearing Singh Shirts/Hoods , idolizing Bhindrawale , and acting as if they are the warriors . I almost agree everytime I see atrocities on Sikhs anywhere in the world.

'But begging for a land and not winning it' is not something Sikhism does. Now a days Sikhs are becoming very insecure about their own identities and demanding separate rights and land for themselves like we are some oppressed African refugees (#!@). What good will it do for the Gurus ? , Will the land acquirement please the Guru? Our Gurus only told all reality is what we have perceived during our lives. All this demand for land I think has no divinity attached to it , its all very humanish . Any community in the world can start protesting for a land , it does not look good when I see my own Sikhs do it . I have always pictured the great martyrs as those who never begged or acted oppressed , they always had that victory within , and they never gave in , they fought for what is theirs.

At times even I have felt the need for a separate land (I hate the term Khalistan...) , but I just went through separate thoughts while in bed last night.And thought of sharing them with the Sangat. Please be open about it, any darn Sikh can start yelling about the need of Khalistan and all the emotions attached but does it serve the purpose of Sikhism , or the purpose for which this great dharma was blessed by our Gurus? I think not.

Well although I disagree with many points that are usually brought up for Khalistan, i'll play the devil's advocate.

Although Sikhism is a religious movement, the Khalsa I would argue is a political one. Many of the identities of sikhism, the colors, the turban, the kirpan, etc are all things that in gurbani, it says that having an item or dressing in a certain way will not bring one closer to God. However these things play a greater role... because in addition to helping ourselves to reach Waheguroo, we have an additional responsibility as members of the Khalsa, to spread justice and truth in this world of Kuljug.

So I think the term "Khalistan" stems from that: a place that is not only spiritually pure, but politically as well... as we would like to think a small drop of satjug in our ocean of kuljug. However that said, I would disagree with the methods that we use to try to obtain that gem.

Sant jarnail singh ji said "the day the indian goverment sends it's army to attack sri darbar sahib, the foundation of khalistan will be laid".

Punjab is 60% sikh so we deserve more rights. I think the term "khalistan" has helped sikhs maintain their seperate identity.

You will hear (even our own) calling amritdharis as "khalistanis".

how this is sanatan hindu thing? what he said and you are saying same thing? difference is he elaborated little bit that god created a movement to fight invaders whether in form of 5 vices(internal or external) and also to protect dharma(religion).. he didnt anywere said hindu dharma did he? and what you said was khalsa was an order straight from god. .. there is no difference.

I don't see it anywhere how his comments have anything to do with sanatan or hindu.
