I'm pretty sure if a 'neutral non-sikh' was listening to Nihal he would have come away with the thought that Sikhism is a fantastic faith that respects all other religions and is full of all the great things that only make up small parts of the other faith.

Once again, Kop Singh, we've taken a bit of a positive, got all hot under the collar, and turned it into a negative in non-sikh eyes. The Jay leno affair wasn't a one-off. We seem to have a habit of doing it.

come off it mate, look at how he replied back like a prat, his attitude was such as if i had slept with his wife n he walked in. ridiculous, he tried 2 say that our religion is a mish/mash of other faiths, did our gurus have no genuine gyaan then? they were plaguirists were they? come on man.

At 1, Is forced conversion a myth?

There's a huge ongoing story in Pakistan concerning a seventeen year old Hindu women called Rinkle Kumari. Her family has alleged that she was abducted, forced to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim man. Her new husband and his family deny this, they say Rinkle, who has changed her name to Fayral Shah, converted to Islam and married new Husband Naveed of her own free will.

But we always hear stories about women being told to convert by their partners in order to marry them but can you call this 'forced'? Where you were growing up, did your parents tell you to stay away from certain communities in fear that they'll convert you? Are you instantly suspicious of someone when they announce that they are converting? Are people who convert to another religion weak? Did you convert and face a backlash from your family? Or should we all have a choice to follow any religion we want without being judged?

Call Nihal and tell him what you think.

After 2, Nihal chats to Author Roshi Fernando about her book 'Homesick' which examines the experiences of Sri Lankans living in the UK.

And at 2.30, Should restaurants fine diners for leaving food on their plates?

A restaurant in Saudi Arabia is fining diners who dont finish of their portions. They then send the fine money to charities in Somalia. Would you be in favour of this fining system here in the UK or do you think you should be able to leave what you want as you're paying for it? Call Nihal and tell him what you think

...NIHAL IS SCUM AND SO ARE THE SO CALLED BBC "ASIAN" NETOWRK"

27:30 onwards he mentions that "sikh took the best of other faiths, and created its own"

Well that says it all. Can't get any more ignorant and offensive than that! Guess we can phone in and all but will this even be of any use, unless upward of a thousand phone in?

West London Singh, I admire your attempts to provide balanced arguments and all, but I think you get carried away too much sometimes to the extent that you start batting for the other side! Nihal was way out of order on this one.

Thats the problem with west london singh he often bats for the other (muslim) side and his Sikh loyalty and credential's become very doubtful indeed. Its good to provide a balanced point of view but when you neglect the harm that people do to your own Sikh community and you do not say anything to those who try to undermine the Sikhs then whose community do you exactly belong to?

As for nihaal he is a buddhist and a prat. From my experience with Buddhists (who do not believe in a God) they try to stir and interfere in places they are not wanted. Nihaal has no business in telling Sikhs what we believe in and not. I haven't listened to the program yet but going by threads in this forum regarding his previous shows regarding Sikhs ...well he has form and his track record isnt good.

Nihaal is on twitter by the way if anyone wants to challenge him on his ignorance your welcome to but do it in a calm and informative manor. Also press him on doing a debate/discussion on Sri Lanka's Buddhist army and governments role in the recent genocide of Tamil Hindus. I'm sure he would love that...not.

Yeah totally agree with that. Funny how issues such as the above are never discussed on the AN, especially when Nihal emphasises that Sri Lankans are also part of the traditional Asian community in Britain.

back to topic please guys! how nihal today refused to be educated and how with his comments, the already uneducted world on sikhi, took another knock.

Nihal is belittling Sikhi on a regular basis. There has been many threads on this guy over the years. He is a person who obviously doesn't want to learn about Sikhi or tell viewers about SIkhi as the Guru's taught it. With such people, you can say whatever to them and they will not listen to the voice of reason. He has an agenda and he will not move away from it. The only way he will stop is if the UK sangat makes him pay out of his pockets and BBC is sued for belittling Sikhi. Even if you think that the case will not be won, still take them to court because it will make them think twice next time before belittling Sikhi. We Sikhs are weak at keeping the pressure on these giddars, make them sweat and sooner or later they will stop. Without unity we are weak, so put our difference aside and focus on the common goals.
