According to Sikh Siyasat the Jathedars have given clean chit to Radha Swami over destruction of Gurdwara Sahib http://www.sikhsiyasat.net/2012/08/16/clean-chit-to-radha-swami-dera-beas-four-other-jathedars-endorse-giani-gurbachan-singhs-decision/

Clean chit to Radha Swami Dera Beas – four other Jathedars endorse Giani Gurbachan Singh’s decision

Amritsar, Punjab (August 16, 2012): As per news reports Jathedars of four Takhats, other than Sri Akal Takhat, have endorsed to the clean chit given to Dera Radha Swami Beas on the issue of dismantling of a Gurdwara at Waraich. The decision of endorsement has come after a meeting of five Jathedars held on August 15, 2102 at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Amritsar.

According to information available with Sikh Siyasat the meeting was attended by Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Takhat Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Tarlochan Singh, Takhat Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh, Takhat Patna Sahib Jathedar Giani Iqbal Singh and Giani Jagtar Singh Granthi Sri Darbar Sahib as no representative of the Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib came to participate in the meeting.

“Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh of Takht Damdama Sahib and Giani Iqbal Singh of Takht Patna Sahib, endorsed Akal Takht’s decision in unequivocal terms and said that they fully supported Giani Gurbachan Singh in what he has done” reports YesPunjab (YP).

The matter did not rest here. A strange decision was also taken in light of controversy regarding shifting of Gurdwara Waraich. It was resolved that though no historical gurdwara can be altered or shifted, the non-historical gurdwaras can be altered or shifted with the consent and collective decision and as per the requirements of Sikh Sangat of the area.

The Jathedars also came in defence of Giani Gurbachan Singh and said that panthic groups should behave in such a manner that the supremacy of Akal Takht is not challenged. Without naming, but in context of the decision of some panthic groups to ‘boycott’ Akal Takht Jathedar, the four jathedars appealed to Sikh Sangat not to play in the hands of alleged anti-panthic forces.

Jathedars have also sought cooperation from the panthic groups and said that they should remain committed to Akal Takht so that glorious panthic traditions were maintained.

It is notable here that many Sikh organisations had given a call to ‘boycott’ Giani Gurbachan Singh keeping in view his decision to give a ‘clean chit’ to Dera Radha Soami, Beas on the issue of Gurdwara Waraich.

Sikh organizations are of the view that the decision of Giani Gurbachan Singh is taken under political pressure from Badal clan.

These organizations include SAD Amritsar, Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, Dal Khalsa, Khalsa Action Committee, Panthic Sewa Lehar and Damdami Taksal Ajnala.

What is happening behind the scenes? Badal has links with Radha Swami and he also runs SGPC. Are the Jathedars just following orders from a political party?

Also I have read another statement in which Jathedar Gurbachan Singh said that Sikhs should dissociate themselves with "anti-panthic forces".

http://www.hindustan...le1-914590.aspx

In fact at the meeting, the jathedars took note of the voices of discontent coming from certain quarters and sought to make it clear to all Sikh groups and organisations that the Wariach gurdwara issue was now a closed chapter and hence no one should comment on it any more.

The clergy also directed that all panthic organisations should abide by the directions of the Akal Takht.

"Sikhs are hereby directed that they should move away from anti-panthic forces which cannot uphold the honor and dignity of the Akal Takht," said Giani Gurbachan Singh while talking to the media.

So in the eyes of the Jathedar Parkash Singh Badal is a "Panth Rattan". Whilst Gursikhs such as Amrik Singh Ajnala are anti-panthic. What more to say.

let's face it akal takht in its present form does not represent the sovereign seat of authority for Sikhs that the sixth master had establshed. The current akal takht is a revionist non panthic organisation setup with British influence to control the Sikhs and exert influence over them. It has since fallen into the hands of the Indian government. The election system is not a traditional Sikh system it is open to corruptness. Akal takht soverignity needs to be restored with panthic people in charge so independent decisions can be made. Jathedari should be returned to those firm on rehit and traditional dal panth maryada, such as the Buddha Dal jathedars as per tradition.currently akal takht has a political agenda they will never make decisions that benefit the panth the Indian government will not allow it.

It's really disturbing to see so many red and white fenced Radhasoami deras mushrooming all over Punjab. They are gaining at our expense. Sikhs are not doing parchar, so it is also partly because of our weakness or lack of parchar that others are taking advantage of. Parchar of Sikh Dharm is the only solution.

I do wonder whether the appeal of the Radha Swami path for the masses in Panjab is the 'Living Guru' malarkey, and people's wish to worship a walking, talking man who they feel they can get close to. Is that it? Or do these Radha Swamis improve people's lives in terms of hospitals, economic incentives, etc?

Agree those that follow maryada and campaign for Sikh freedom but not Budha Dal jahtedars like Santa Singh , one of the biggest traitors to Sikhs in modern times.

the whole issue was that people thought the radhasoamis had taken over a gurdwara by force. it was investigated and found out that they did not, and that the move was in accord with the wishes of local sangat. so how can the move be anti-panthic? i wish people would think a little more. just b/c radhasoami are involved doesn't mean that the jathedars decision is anti-panthic.

would it be more panthic for the jathedar to pretend that the Gurdwara had been taken over by force? Is it better to lie so they could take a swipe at the radhasoamis?

I'll probably be flamed for saying all this, but we as Sikhs need to be aware that many groups within the panth are more interested in advancing their own name then they are in panthic ekta, which is why many of them lash out at the Akal Takht for this. While we may disagree with the decision, it is not anti-panthic just b/c we don't like it.

I agree some people are too bent out in blindly criticizing everything (even the good parts) of SGPC, but what's true is the system isn't working.

All the seats are tainted with laalach and corruption. Dande naal sarian nu kadna paou. Problem is ik vaare dande naal kad sagde a, par kursian koun paroo?

The problem is we have no idea what to do. We need a leader and no one is ready to step up, do we have any Sants who are willing to lead the Panth once again? We do, but we don't have the eyes to see them.
