Sikhs Not Allowed To Visit Gyan Godri Sahib

Paunta Sahib, Himachal Pardesh (November 19, 2013): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the members of a Sikh religious procession who were heading towards the site of Gurdwara Gyan Godri at Haridwar were arredted by Uttrakhand police at the Kulhal checkpost on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

As per media reports the police sources claimed that around 400 Sikh devotees led by Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal came to the Kulhal checkpost at around 1 pm as per a pre-announced programme. They were reportedly prevented by the police from entering the state.

Some media sources have reported that when the police tried to stop Sikhs it led a minor scuffle between the police and the Sikhs.

As per reports Vikasnagar circle officer SK Singh said that they arrested 290 Sikh devotees and took them to the Sri Guru Ram Rai Public School, Sahaspur where they were released on personal bonds.

Earlier on Sunday (November 17), 47 Sikhs of All Indian Sikhs Conference (AISC) were detained in Haridwar when they were about to visit Har Ki Pauri for kirtan on Gurupurab Times of India (TOI) has reported.

It is notable that Gurdwara Gyan Godri was a historic Sikh shrine at Haridwara that marked the memory of Guru Nanak Sahib Jis visit to the place and signified the rejection of superstitious rituals by Guru Sahib. The Gurdwara Sahib was destroyed during November 1984 genocidal violence against the Sikhs.

It is notable that on November 28, 2012, the Uttarakhand government had arrested around 700 Sikhs when they had tried to celebrate Gurpurb at Haridwar, citing law and order situation. It may be recalled that in 2012 the Haridwar administration had banned entry of Sikhs in wake of Fateh Yatra.

Daduwal has no sikhi interest left in him as he is in bed with radhaswami sect. He was again in their gurinder's dera few days ago. He should be stripped off from representing Sikhs in India. As sant ji said in one of his speeches, " do not raise your hand and join our movement if you are the follower of Radha swami and other pakhandi babay".

Daduwal is not a bad Singh. He has been doing some fearless Parchar because of which he has been largely banned from all over Punjab by the Badal Sarkar. He continues to do parchar against Sacha Sauda. It was an impolitical move for him to have invited Gurinder Singh Dhillon of RSB to his wedding. His joining the anti Badal, political alliance of Sarna was also unwise. Many Panthic Singhs in Punjab are so anti Badal that they are willing to shake hands with the devil(Sarna) not realizing what a danger Sarna poses. Historically Panthic Singhs have not been wise players in the field of politics.

Daduwal was also mired in controversy while taking and leaving kabootars in UK.It was posted here a few months earlier.

I will never criticize a person if he stands for panth. He was always in league with Sarna, a congress agent and promoter of

darshan who banned dasam bani kirtan in delhi Gurudwaras.he attended his so called convention at delhi called to

protest against excommunication of Darshan. So his love is for sikhi is laced with greed.He delivered a very notorious

speech there.DElhi sangat punished them in elctions.

Why does not he take a jatha to Sarna and protest against supporting congress in delhi elections and giving ticket to sajjan

Kumar's son? He preys on emotive issues to gain popularity.

Let us learn to expose those who claim to preach sikhi but in essence have hidden motives. A true sikh will

never be lured by material considerations.

Baba ji, is doing some great parchar. However he needs to maintain his credibility and that is through being transparent, like Baba Ranjit Singh ji.

So he needs to clarify, why he has not spoken up against Prof Darshan Singh. I remember a number of years ago, a reporter from the News of the World (same one that has been involved in exposing the Pakastani Cricket players and match fixing), in an undercover role approached Baba Baljit Singh about 'human traficking/illegal immigration', i.e. bringing someone from India, with his jatha for money. The report in the paper was a total embarrasemnt for the Sikh Community. Baba ji, did not complain to the Press complaints commission nor did they deny and clarify in the Punjabi media. I think it was related to a Gurdwara in the Midlands, where the undercover reporter approcahed Baba ji.

Once he clarifies, his credibility will be restored. Once again can i re-iterate that he is doing some great parchar.

Yes, i could that personally. But what about the Sikh Sangat, especially those belonging to the Gurdwara, which was mentioned in the News of the World, that was dis-credited by the article, in which Baba Ji was named as agreeng to take money in order to facilitate an person coming to the UK on false pretences.

Even if the article/story was true, we all make mistakes and slip up, we just need to 'own up' aplogise and move on.
