Trying for a baby

Recommended Posts

Guest Singh

I am about to get married soon in 2 months and will obviously be trying for a baby.

However Im a male and over 30. I have heard that as we age this affects our fertility. I also heard our sperm is not as healthy as when we are younger.

So before I even try for a baby. I want to make sure that I'm in a fit condition and producing healthy sperm. I don't excercis much and my diet is sometimes healthy but it depends.

I also want my wife to be in a healthy condition beforehand.

From what I know we should start exercising and eating healthy. So that Our bodies are ready.

Anyone got tips on what to do even before you try for kids to get healthy?

think uve already got the answer ur lookin for in the penultimate paragraph?

but in addition, drinkin plenty of good quality water will help a lot. a distiller wiv filter is worth the small investment. tap/bottled water r full of harmful chemicals/metals etc. n most of our body, brain, blood n muscle is water afta all.

I'm reading this as I'm eating a bag of oily chips from last night lol!    Unhealthy food is laziness.

I think in your 30s sperm should still be healthy?  I mean it's not old is it ...

For women it's different.

I think it comes down to genetics as well   my cousin had two healthy sons in his mid 40s!  And his mrs is in her early 40s

Eat healthy and stay away from alcohol and cigs (not saying you do it)and you will be fine. Also go to the dr with your wife, find out the best days you can conceive, think it's just before your wife has a period or just after.

Wrong: I can’t believe adults r unaware of this basic info

—ovulation, when ova egg is released is most fertile time of month which also coincides with natural heightened increased desire on the part of females - the body discharge and body chemistry is noticeably visibly different for ovulating women- scientists have proven women walk differently during days of ovulation and are attracted to different types of men depending on the time of month - rugged alpha men r preferred during ovulation and babyfaced men when not during peak fertility time - men can usually tell when a woman is ovulating- certainly most women know by their mood what time of the month it is

—this two or three day time frame does not occur just before or after bleeding - it is day 14 or thereabouts if day one is considered first day of menses - or if day one is considered to be first day after end of menstruation then ovulation would be the seventh day -

- there is a lot more to proper procreation of a good child than knowing the mechanics of the body: in katha I heard there is a verse of Gurbani to be recited prior to intercourse - as I have posted in the past Garbhdhan is an exact science— Osho bluntly states those who engage in intimacy without uttering a prayer are criminals- I agree as a child might be born - if we say prayer before eating and sleeping and after reciting Gurbani it makes sense before conceiving a child to recite the special verse of Gurbani— Hinduism has very elaborate complicated regulations on which day is best for creation of best child. Proper marriage and correct procreation within marriage is an exact science. If u think it is just about diet and exercise u r sadly mistaken. Anyone who uses any form of birth control  is a selfhater as that is a form of self sterilization. Historically 30 percent of india was sannyasi for life so overpopulation was never a problem.

Rajneesh Osho was a fraud and head of a sex cult      though you have stated some interesting things

More than exercise diet is important. We're talking Steam or boiled sabjia accompanied with your usual meal, fruits, nuts and seeds across all days.

As for exercise I'll recommend mid - strenuous. Not heavy but defintely not light either. Walking, dancing is light. Mid is like lifting a single or double dumbbell with heavy weights. Something that makes u sweat n heart raises like mad. 1.5 hours Across 3 times a week is good enough.

Good luck with the marriage :)

WJKK WJKF Ji,

Men are often anxious about this topic when the scheduled marriage date is nearing. Most of the time it is just unnecessary fear created by ourselves and has no direct implications on the particular problem.

On the other hand, if there are any related health issues, they can be rectified by acquiring a healthy lifestyle which reflects a balance of healthy foods, intermittent fasting,  good sleep and workout.

In terms of foods, avoid fast foods. Consume a diet which consists of green leafy vegetables (rich in Iron) and citrus fruits ( rich in Vitamin C). Apart from this, if the sperm quality and quantity is low, have a teaspoon of pure honey mixed in your warm glass of milk. I would recommend to soak any dry fruits and seeds first (for at least 3 hours) before consuming them. Ask your doctor if you need a supplement of zinc and magnesium - your blood test will tell if you are really deficient of these.

Avoid eating in between your main meals. The digestive system requires rest and if the body and cope for the hours between dinner and morning breakfast, it should not be really difficult to have only fluids after having breakfast until the next meal for at least 6 hours straight. The longer the intermittent fast, the healthier the metabolism will be - especially if you are over the age of 30.

Always try not to sleep straight after having a heavy meal. Stay awake for atleast 2 hours following the meal and if necessary, take a quick 20 minutes walk. A sleep of 5-6 hours should be enough but do not sleep more than 7.5 hours, if you are not that tired.

Any workout should not be excessive but should be regular instead. It is recommend to exercise daily but if things don't workout or you are a heavy weight lifter kind of person, skip a day for the body to rest and work through any wear or tear of muscles and give time to strengthen them.

Masturbation is not healthy and there should not be any need to be sexually active unless you are in a relationship.

Before starting to have sex with your partner please ensure you are not rushing into the act - brain is the organ which controls the body , so be calm as possible - taking deep breaths usually helps.

There are certain positions which you can try to help conceive. PM me if you are interested to know these.

Everything given above is just an advise and is not compulsary to follow when trying to conceive.

Lastly, I would strongly recommend to do your prayers and ardas as nothing is above The Almighty.

Nanak Naam Chardi Kla ,

Tere Bhane Sarbat da Bhala.

WJKK WJKF Ji.

Vitamins are really important. Especially folate for women. Get your wife started on prenatal vitamins

And you guys should take blood tests to see if you are low in any nutrients like iron, B12, vitamin K etc.

And get checked if you guys have any health issues like thyroid, diabetes, high blood pressure. And get it controlled before having kids.

Eat diverse foods that are many colored. More vegetables. And also many types of seeds and nuts. If you are vegetarian, find someone who can make panjiri. Your wife will need that after she gives birth. For lactation and recovery. Perhaps she can eat it before as well.

Everything, and I mean absolutely EVERY LITTLE THING, the white man has was stolen from brown and black people. EVERYTHING...including medicine. Appropriate it...steal it...call it what you want but the fact is that white people have throughout history right up to the present day, steal what brown and black people have and then call it their own. In a few posts on this thread I have mentioned how white people stole eastern philosophy and then claimed it as their own (and called it western philosophy) even through the original practitioners of that philosophy made it abundantly clear that the white northern european was a barbarian incapable of intellectual thought but really it runs far more deeper than that. White people have always been about TAKING, TAKING and TAKING. They habitually take and then claim as their own. They are habitual thieves. Here's some more examples: The cure to smallpox was actually invented by a black slave, Onesimus. Here's the story of how the white man stole it from him and claimed it as their own: https://www.historyofvaccines.org/content/blog/onesimus-smallpox-boston-cotton-mather   Picasso stole his 'art' from ancient African art and claimed it as his (western intellectalisms) own:   Now you know me....You know I could go on and on here. The point is that white people...ALL WHITE PEOPLE....are not only thieves but they are also habitual liars. They LIE. And they teach their children to LIE. They lie because they cannot handle the truth. Not only do they lie about true history but they also lie day to day when it comes to getting jobs, their qualifications etc. You see the priviledge they have created for themselves enables them to lie. They're not held accountable the way we are.  What we're seeing now from white people though is a desperate attempt to preserve their priviledge. Their lies are being exposed and history is fast catching up with them. For example, not only are the Chinese and Indians now at the forefront of medical advances the Chinese are giving white people payback in the sense that a hundred odd years ago the white man deliberately pushed opium on the Chinese masses and now the Chinese are paying back that favour by flooding the white man with opiods. At the end of the day thieves always get their comeuppance.
    • India in it's current political format is. But it definitely exists as a geographical entity or even as some civilisational entity and is far more connected than what Pakistan is. The strands that keep it together are more indigenous.  Islam and not being India is what makes Pakistan.
