It is because our tolerance is seen as weakness.

If you take them on head on, they play the "victim/martyrdom game".

That is a very old Abrahamic game. When they are a small minority they always act meek and with nimrata by turning the other cheek. But once they start gaining numbers their Nimrata is the first to go away. In Korea Christians  are very aggressive against the Buddhists. They don't even hide their hatred anymore.

In Punjab we are now starting to see the beginnings of their ugly side too where they start to riot as they did in Batala a few years ago.  Recently o ne of their preachers very disrespectfully spoke against the Gurus. When a Nihang Singh replied using the same language against Jesus they got him arrested by the Punjab police.

They don't target Hindus because they know there will be retaliation by Shiv Sena and other Hindu outfits. But they target Sikhs for conversions because they know Sikhs will not retaliate since all our focus is to oppose Hindus and ignore all the other hostile enemies of our Panth.

I would like to see a 'dharmic unity' block but RSS is also not recognizing sikh identity. They see us as sect of hindus and seek a reunification of hinduism and sikhism, which is not exactly in best interests of panth.

Hindutva fanbois in twitter call harmandar sahib as vishnu mandir. It would be good to see more fraternity in hindu-sikh relations but the other side also has to recognize our unique identity which they don't .

Having said that, the ordinary hindu and sikh relations is still pretty good and the average hindu is not somethng radical, although I am not sure of future

Unfortunately our Kaum does not understand realpolitik and when we are against something then we go 1000% against it. We all know that the RSS does not have our best interests at heart but they are a minor threat compared to the Abrahamic threat especially in Punjab. Just a few years ago the RSS conducted a Ghar Wapsi ceremony in Punjab when it reconverted former Sikhs who had become Christian back to Sikhism. In any sane universe the Sikh religious establishment should have welcomed this and actively assisted and if possible taken this type of event as a model for bringing those Sikhs who had become Christians under various inducements back to Sikhi. But rather than that the SGPC and Akal Takht Jathedar actually criticised this ceremony! Could you imagine that happening in any other religion especially in a community that can ill afford to lose members to other religions? But this is what happened and this is the result of our community now being unable to as the saying goes see the wood for the trees. As long as we stick to our identity and assert forcefully that it is non-negotiable then there is nothing wrong is working with the RSS in meeting the Abrahamic challenge in Punjab. The RSS are not stupid, they understand that Sikhi is much more palatable to them then Islam or Christianity. I would take this a step further and after the former Sikhs are back to Sikhi, extend this to the rest of the so-called lower caste population of Punjab. They are as much under threat from Christian missionaries as the Sikh lower castes are, so why not actively meet this threat by converting the Hindu lower castes to Sikhism. This would actually put the RSS in a situation where if they did not assist then that would mean that they accept that by these Hindu lower castes converting to Sikhism, that they are leaving Hinduism or they would HAVE to assist them to become Sikhs.

Hindus in Punjab are around 40-50 percent. They are also under threat.

The Bhaiyas and Biharis in Punjab are also under threat.

This will also threaten neighbouring areas like Himachal, Haryana and Jammu.

At this moment in time, no one is going bother about whether they want to recognise us separate etc.

Hindus in this region in the subcontinent are under a larger threat because if the Evangelists can spread their tentacles with us Sikhs, they are going to use these former Sikhs to go after Hindu Punjabis and Hindus in neighbouring states.

It is a launchpad.

Saw the hospital video looks a pretty gruesome life threatening attack on the Sikh brother the medics had to cut and shave the heads kesh where his deep cut wounds were to stitch his head up.

Don't think it is a targeted religious motivated attack against the Sikhs maybe cos they were not muslims gave the attackers more reason to try and kill them. It goes to show how confident and brazen indian muslims feel they can go around attacking non-muslims in a non-muslim nation of india that was essentially created as a safe heaven for the hindus, sikhs and buddhists in 1947 as per jinnahs two nation theory. People should ask themselves why don't we see cases of pakistani hindus or paksitani Sikhs terrorising or attacking pakistani muslims? Why dont we see afghan hindus or afghan sikhs causing havoc in afghanistan against muslims?

It's quite clear once the islamic virus has been implemented into the human mind he/she is taught to see the non-muslim as the enemy.

In chembur , Mumbai, two sikh youth were attacked by muslims with daggers, bamboo sticks and sharp instruments because reportedly the sikh youth told them to wear masks to prevent spread of coronavirus , or they should go home if they don't want to wear mask.

The muslim men , 5 or 6 left a deep wound (like literally an open jab of wound) on sikh man and he's critical. One or two guys have been arrested, but its not sure if they managed to get out again.

I saw the video on watsapp, and I could clearly see the bloodied back of the youngster with open muscles , deep deep cuts ( I mean really deep and wide cuts)

all of this happening in "holy" month of ramadan . shame

When I read articles like this, there is always the hint of the "goody 2 shoe boy scout" amongst our people.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Here is some common sense for our folk, when in a neighbourhood like this India where there it might have a high muslim presence, it becomes a muslim neighbourhood.

If you say anything no matter how well intentioned, within 2 seconds there are going to be a mob of 100 coming at with all sorts of weapons.

If they are going to affect, let the Hindutva, police or their own mobs sort them out.

It is none of our concern, just bother with your own.

I remember about 2 years ago a few Sikhs (all were goody two shoes) were doing sewa of poor people in Rajasthan by gathering food for them. Instead of thanking the Sikhs for their selfless service, a mob gathered of those skinny Bhayas who began to beat the Sikhs. The Sikhs were all lying down taking the beating. The video was embarrassing to watch.

Sometimes I feel India is not deserving of a good people like the Sikhs especially when we get this strange itch to do selfless service of them. They don't deserve this sewa.
