Prepare for more of these stories showing how brave Sikhs are. This is how the Indian establishment uses us when it needs cannon fodder. I remember chatting to someone years ago and he told me that in the 1950s up to 1962, the Indian media was full of articles  that Sikhs don't need Kirpans in this day and age and also trying to present Guru Nanak as being separate from Guru Gobind Singh with the aim being that Sikhs should stop following Guru Gobind Singh and just be Guru Nanak's Sikhs. When the Chinese started to kick Indian butts then the Indian media was full of articles about Guru Gobind Singh and how every Indian should follow him. All India Radio played Deh Shiva Bar Moh almost on a loop at that time.
