Are you sure? Manga is the stronghold of Sikhi in Punjab. Most Khalistanus from there.

Malwa has land and population equal to Diana and Majha combined or more, so it is difficult to label whole of Malwa as honegenous

How on earth did you manage to cram in all those mistakes in just 2 sentences ?  This has got to be some sort of record hasn't it ? ?

Yes Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji was born into a family where his mother was Hindu before marriage.

But after Anand Karaj with his Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji's father she became a Sikh too. Very common in India even now.

Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji is just another example of someone from new non-Sikh ancestry being way more dedicated to Sikhi than those who have been Sikhs for a few generations. Posters like Mehtab Singh (former Hindu) and Jonny101 have recent Hindu ancestry.

Examples include Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji, Bhagat Puran Singh Ji, Master Tara Singh Ji

And multitudes of Shaheeds like Banda Singh Bahadur and four of the Panj Piare.

Obviously Mata Sulakhani and Guru Angad Dev Ji and Guru Amar Das were similar non-Sikhs before coming to Sikhi and taking the Panth forward

Thanks for confirming what I had suspected.

It does seem that Hindus that come into Sikhi can be the best of Sikhs but then there arw the other type of Hindus who will try to subvert things by bringing in some of their cultural practices which is not in line with us.

There is Rehit and we have our standards and code of conduct. We are flexible on many things but there are other things that are fixed and have boundaries that must not be crossed.

We can flow like water but also stand firm like a mountain depending on the circumstances.

Guest J&K sikh

Interesting discussion. It is true that J&K sikhs mostly maintain Kesh and the outward look and Punjab sikhs whom we J&K sikhs generalize as Jatt or Jattus irrespective of their caste are monas. But don't you be fooled by outward looks. You will be shocked how hollow most keshdhari sikhs of J&K are. They are extremely conservative and full sharabis. *deleted*

Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji's wife is is gori too and hence why so many are opposed to protests against Anand Karaj with Dharmic spouses.

As otherwise imagine if people had protested at the Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji's parents Anand Karaj and then Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji had never been raised with any knowledge of Sikhi as a result. As the children of people banned from Anand Karaj at Gurdwara are more and more likely to obviously hate Sikhi as a result. But thank God that never happened with Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji and his children too.

There's less likely chance of a male spouse becoming Sikh if marrying Sikh female, especially if non-Indian background and/or Western raised.

In the past many Hindu women marrying Sikh became Sikh and raised their kids as Sikh.

Most having Anand Karaj in Gurdwara are not Sikh in mentality and just want to do it for 'tradition' and wedding photos. That's the difference and that's why so many are opposed to the Anand Karaj between 'Sikh' and non Sikhs

Jasprit Bumrah a Sikh from Gujarat earlier this year married a lady of Hindu name. Not sure if it should have been Anand Karaj, but I don't know what the attitude is in India

There's a 50% chance of a Sikh man and non-Sikh woman raising Sikh kids, while if there's a Non-Sikh man and Sikh woman there's almost 0% chance of them raising Sikh kids. Either way the non-Sikh shouldn't be in an anand karaj.

Man, if you was at school when I was growing up, with that name, you'd have a hard time. Same as someone named bhatti who was invariably a 'batty-man'.

Imagine a Panjabi couple with the surnames, "Bumrah" and "Bhatti." When the giani says the names of the families before the Anand Karaj, all you'd hear from the back of the diwaan hall is:
