Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw that "product" they do need to be emailed because they obviously don't know how much besti this is. In reality I think the Khanda or other symbols such as the Ik Oankaar should NOT be printed on clothing. I could understand manybe for kids (like the khanda) but they shouldnt be for adults because we have no idea where the person could go wearing a t-shirt with the khanda on it, like they could go into a pub. What kind of image does that display?

Unfortunatly I think that the khanda has become a fashion symbol no.gif It's just saddening.

Neways sorry to go off the topic blush.gif but in conclusion, yup everyone need to email these people politely and with Guroo Ji's kirpa, we will get a result.

Fateh,

Im not sure u can compare a tshirt and a thong in the same way here.... its kind of like saying, a picture of a lady standing, and a stripper, they are both woman but one of them is still considered inappropriate.. do u know what i mean? im not sure if thats a good example, but i hope u know what i mean. putting a khanda on a thong is really bad. besides their side note is also inappropriate and it is very misleading.

And yea we are trying to do somethign about this, because like i pointed out before its not just the Khanda that they have, they have Lord Ganesh, the Cross and other religious symbols. I dont think that members of these religions would not appreciate it either. I dont think this is just about Sikhism, its about respecting all religions.

yeh thats good reply Sony :TH:

it is a pity - i mean i know people who dont even design Sikh events with khanda on the posters, let alone a thong.

gotta stress, that e-mails should be POLITE.

also, it maybe worth going to the main islamic, hindu, xian forums and also posting on there to maybe gain support.

n maybe someone should tell them to stop producing any more and any that they havent sold, that they could reimburse the company for the costs as long as they agree not to produce such or similar material again?

Whats wrong with the thong?

A Khanda is NOT one of the 5 K's, therefore is not assosciated with Khalsa or "baptized Sikhs".

All it does is have a Khanda logo on it, whats the difference between that and having a Khanda on your t-shirt? Oh Wait, its on the underwear, something all of us will probably NEVER SEE! OH NO OH NO, BUT SHE'S NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR IT.

It's a piece of clothing, and if your going to say "But its not even a kacherra", than why dont u try to ban all the other thongs that are on sale. Girls wear thongs, get over it, hopefully they change. THis is a thong with a logo on it, just as another piece of clothing with a logo.

Alteast the location of this khanda, none will be able to see.

Stop sweating such minor things.

I think all of you who are Cussing left and right expressing Anger need to be smacked on the face and should calm down. Nothing is gained from getting Angry, except Hatred and more Hatred.

Dont' Overreact to the situation, stay calm and apporiatly write emails "PROFESSIONALLY" and "CURTIOUSLY" (is taht a word, oh well). I hope one Hot-Head who might "threaten" their site or even the people running it with Gung-ho attitude don't ruin it for the rest.

Fateh,

natsilahk veerji,

if its not a big deal to you then you dont have to worry about it and not to anything about it. for people that this is a big deal for, they will do something about it.

yeh i get ure point. End of the day it depends how u see the human body... as Gods creation and that all is natural OR as a "ewww!" and "mmmm...!"

What i mean is the body IS Gods beautiful creation. People cringe and giggle too much when they see a naked body. Some will be giggling now whilst reading this but u know, we are Gods creation. Theres a difference between a nudist and a "slapper". A nudist believes rightly that the human form is Gods beautiful creation and a slapper believes she can go round flaunting her body to get sexual attention.

Anyway, i might be wrong but thats my opinion. Do u see body as an artistic creation or something to be ashamed about.

Going to the thong thing... why a thong? Its sexual! No purpose for a thong other than to show off more flesh. So why put sumthing like the image of a khanda on a thong? Its wrong!

Your mixing something thats innocent with something thats not. Its like putting a child paedophile in a room alone with a 5yr old kid... its sickening hence why people are appalled by this..

bhul chuk maaf karna

LOL.gif

Really lousy way to put it veerji.. im sorry .... but that was a really dumb response...

A KHANDA is a very important aspect of the SIKH religion, and having it on such 'thongs' is very inappropriate....

.... i suggest you rethink what you said and do more research on what is a khanda...

    • Found how to do it. For anybody else wondering, heres how. No one even helped me btw. So much for Guru Ji’s lhalsa always ready to help (and having their Singhs’ backs smh). (Notes: Aim to do this on a hot summer’s day, and dedicate a full day to this, since you only have to do this once every 4 months at least (normally the turban will stay in shape until you wish to untie it and physically pull it open again). This helps it to dry faster, since you have to starch it, HALF DRY IT, pooni it, tie it and then wear it for around four hours for the rest of it to dry, all in the same day. It’s a one day process but it serves you for months). This works for both the UK/Kenyan style (starch is best for this style) as well as the normal Punjabi paghs (such as Patiala shahi, wattan wali and morni paghs). Not sure about dumallas though. Probably not . Pagg Starch: 1) Boil 6 cups of water in a saucepan on low heat (always low heat) 2) Seperately dissolve 4 tablespoons of maida (all purpose flower) with a little water until it is 100% smooth.  You could also use rice or corn starch. Add more water if it is not a smooth liquid 3) Once completely smooth, pour this mixture through a strainer (to make it even smoother) into the boiling water. 4) Now continuously stir it until it goes completely see through. Keep on stirring it on the low heat until it goes totally transparent (it can take a little while to cook, but the pagg will last you for months!) It will at become a thick paste first, but keep stirring until it becomes see through and thinner.    5) Once it’s transparent, pour the starch (again through a strainer) into a big enough, clean bucket to cool down. 6) Once cool, take a clean, dry turban and completely and mix it in with the starch for around 5 minutes. Make sure that it is all evenly and completely soaked and wet with the starch. (Most people use mal-mal material, but I use full voile and I have used Rubia too. They’re all fine. Maybe use Rubin for smaller turbans and mal mal for larger ones) 7) Leave it out in the sun to HALF DRY ONLY!!!!!!! (Don’t ever let your starched turban fully dry before you tie it. If you do, then you will have to spray/ sprinkle water on it which will weaken the starch and ruin the turban) ONLY HALF DRY THE TURBAN IN THE SUN!!! 😎 Once HALF DRY ONLY take the now semi damp turban, and fold/pooni and then tie it like normal (straight on your head, with no base layer such as a Keski or patka underneath). Leave it on your head for around 4 hours just to fully dry and it will be ready and set for months now. Like I said, do try to tie your dastar every day, but if you can’t or really don’t want to, I hope this helps! Like I said this works on both the traditional Punjabi/Indian style paggs, and the more recent UK/Kenyan style paggs. It does for my morni pagg, but the first larr slips up in to the pagg. This is normal dw. Wjkk, Wjkf
    • I guess easier ways of learning have taken precedence. There are so many Youtube channels and podcasts available that people are more ready to listen for knowledge at their own leisure. There are so many great kathas available online that take months to listen, so that people may not really get the time to come here and write.
    • *Bump The current conflict (w/ Iran getting involved) is being orchestrated by a 3rd party in my opinion. We all are going to blame the Jewish community (how they run the banks, how they are brutal and etc.) but they have a point in this conflict.  As soon as people start finding about the truth that's when the real movement will begin.

    • Might delay Sikhs becoming a minority in Punjab for a few more years.  Do these students actually study and work in a related field after their course or is it purely for immigration?
