Disrespect To Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Recommended Posts

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!

I have found out from discoversikhi.com that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was taken to Southport Theatre, Merseyside on 2nd April 05 for a wedding.

The Gurdwara responsible for this is:

Guru Nanak Culture & Recreational Centre

10 Tunbridge Street

Preston

PR1 5YP

There is no excuse for this committee, they we trying to do this beadbi last year in Hilton Hotel Blackpool, its because of corrupt committees like this one that beadbi continues.

If I remember, the family involved in Hilton Blackpool incident were more than willing to re-arrange the wedding to the Gurdwara. Its our so-called leaders who want to sell Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sikh Principles!

Please ring the committee of Guru Nanak Culture & Recreational Centre and stop them from doing further beadbi this year!

"Cultural & Recreational Centre"!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of name is this for a Gurdwara Sahib? Looks like this Committee did a Sikh/Bhangra event recently in Preston.

what wrong with that, u cant be too extreme, sri guru granth sahib ji was not taken to a club or where other sins were taking place, sumtimes the gurdwara cant cater for the amount of sangat. if guru ji was in a human form now, i dont see why he wouldnt travel to bless a couple getting married.

Extreme? Does someone having more sharda for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji make them extreme? I dont think so.

There is a Hukamnama telling us not to take Maharaaj to such places. Is smoking banned at theatres? Is alcohol banned? I been there and it aint.

Anyway, I cant remember any weddings for that note where the Gurdwara couldn't cater for the Sangat. Infact normally clsoe family come to the Gurdwara because the rest are only there for a party, alcohol, dancing etc etc.

They may or may not travel to bless a couple. We the Khalsa have a duty to respect our Guru and we feel that it is disrespecting to take them to such a place. Sorry if that is offensive to anyone.

action does need to take place... like really, because nobody like anyone should take Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to such places e.g anywhere alcohol/tobacco has been consumed and most hotels and theatres dont have a ban on this, so its obviously disrespectful...its not a case of "sumtimes the gurdwara cant cater for the amount of sangat" because half of the relatives dont even turn up they only go 4 the party, only the immediate family turn up in most weddings...
