I also got the following email: PANTHIC MEETING SUNDAY 24 JANUARY 2010 @ GURU NANAK GURDWARA, SEDGLEY STREET, WOLVERHAMPTON FOR ALL UK GURDWARAS AND SIKH ORGANISATIONS TO DISCUSS IMPLEMENTATION OF NANAKSHAHI CALENDAR ...and after today's disgraceful anti Panthic so-called "conference" in Coventry involving Panth enemies like Panjab Radio and other so-called traitor "Sikh" organisations, this important meeting tomorrow will also be for the RESPECT OF THE TENTH MASTERS DASAM GRANTH SAHIB JI and respect for those who believed in Dasam Granth Sahib Ji - to name o…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh We at the SEEQ team are proud to say that work is currently underway to produce the 3rd issue of the SEEQ magazine, hopefully to be released in time for Vaisakhi 2010. The success of the previous issues is undoubtedly down to the overwhelming support and contribution from the Guru’s sangat. For the 3rd issue to be a success, we are again asking for the sangat to help the team at SEEQ. We are currently looking for anybody who thinks they may be able write an article, or know somebody that possibly can, to be included in the 3rd issue. If there are any other ideas for the 3rd issue, the team at SEEQ are always open to ideas. P…

Hello everyone, What's happening at your end of the world? : ) I'm Sarina and I've joined this forum to ask few questions related to someone's name in our extended family. Please be humble when you reply to my questions as I've no knowledge of Sikh culture. Can someone tell me who are 'Gorayas' ? My cousin sister's family is Punjabi (Jatt I guess ) and they all use this as their surname. Also in our family is some girl named 'Sujaan'. Her parents say its pure punjabi name but we don't know the origin and meaning of this name. She was once at airport and everyone thought of her as Indian Punjabi and some lady told her 'Goraya' is some village in Punjab, India. But why …

EVERYONE MUST POLITELY REQUEST THE SIKH CHANNEL TO REPEAT 1984 BBC DOCUMENTRY DISCUSSION SHOW AND PRODUCE A NEW 1984 DOCUMENTRY Please vote in the above three polls that will be forwarded to the MANAGEMENT of the SIKH CHANNEL. When (or will) the Sikh Channel be repeating the discussion show about the biased BBC documentry (Broadcast on BBC1 at 10.55pm on Sunday 10 January 2010 called "The Sikh Story: 1984") as many English people, non-Sikhs and non-practising Sikhs want to see the youth discussion show that followed on Monday 11 January 2010 because it was in English and put across some good points to counter attack the false information spread by the BBC documentry??? …

I know a few people are attending like punjab radio etc. but lots of people have told me that 'Babbu Mann' and 'Munda Southall Da' are also coming. I do know that the two are extremely close to the organisers of the conference, and the Gurdwara prabandaks (Kuwant Singh Dhesi and Joga Singh), but please enlighten me with further details.
