I would like to know the meaning of 'slander' as it occurs in Sikhism. 'Slander' it mentioned many times in the SGGS, specifically in Sukhmani Sahib. My understanding of what slander is, is saying untruthful things which are harmful to another persons reputation. But, I have some friends who think that even if we tell the truth about someone that we had a bad dealing with, we are engaging in slander. For example, if we had a bad dealing with an autoshop and they ruined our car & then we told all of our friends not to go there, would that be considered Nindia/Slander? Wouldn't we be doing a good thing by informing others so they don't have to go through the same thing?…

I've found out a friend of mine's sister who is a 17year old Sikh jatti from luton dating a 20year old paki guy. Their pics and details are on bebo and ratedesi social networking sites. Having heard about all these cases of paki boys using and abusing hindu/sikh girls then getting them to convert I feel I shud do something before this gal destorys her life and her parents life. I've been a sikh all my life and respect and love the 10 Gurus but have a problem seeing Guru Granth Sahib as the "living guru". I still kind of see Guru Granth Sahib not in the same light as the other Gurus but sort of as a holy book kind of like the Bible. I know when Guru Gobind Singh left the body he said to follow Guru Granth Sahib as yor guru, but this is kind of hard concept for me to grasp. I guess I don't know what I'm bowing to. I do it because I was taught to bow down.

I been looking for a job for 5 months now and Ive got nothing other than tempoary Labour stuff. Im educated to college level (okeyish A'levels) but the problem is I have very little experience and I think people might be put off by my look :nihungsmile: buh tht might be me jus judging that people arent picking me becos of that, I dunno. Its a problem cos my mum is getting old and now the doctors have told her to rest and stay at home; but she cant unless I find something perminate. Its just me and mum at home and someone got to pay bills. I been wanting to post on here for time buh my hankar gets in the way <_< so i need some advice singho how do i get myself to…

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
