Hi I’m a Singh in his mid twenties (i.e. have turban and beard) I’ve never had a girlfriend and never even kissed etc ….when I was younger I lived in the hope I would eventually find someone but now that I’m getting older I’ve realised that no woman has ever shown any interest in me and I keep thinking that no one will ever want me and that there is something wrong with me. It’s just that not even a religious Sikh woman has ever been interested in me. Don’t get me wrong I’m not one of those singhs who harasses women or anything like that I just thought that it would happen in its own time BUT it hasn’t. From what I see Sikh women want trim singhs and the rest want clean s…

i cant help but feel a feeling of jealousy toward my to be sister in law. Almost jealous that she live with my husband to be and shes there before living with family and getting in with family n stuff. I kno this is silly and wrong i really dont want to feel this way. I really hate this feeling i would love to get along with everyone since we'll all be living in same house but i just dont get a good vibe from her. every time i try talking to her she just brushes me off. my husband to be gets along with her, he gets along with everyone, furth…

"harmandar Sahib", Perhaps Darbar Sahib? 1 2 3 4

Dont shoot me for just askin a question, but whats the oldest account which refers to Sri Darbar Sahib as Harmandar Sahib? The only gurbani tukh which uses the word, "prabh harmandar sohna", was written by Guroo Nanak Dev Ji, i.e before Darbar Sahib was made so i dont think that that tukh is reffering to Darbar Sahib. So wheres the earliest place that the name "harmandar sahib" is used in reference to Darbar Sahib Amritsar?

Hi. I am a non Sikh, but practice Kundalini Yoga and have read and believe msot of the Sikh religion. I do not plan on becoming baptized. Is it offensive to anyone if I wear a kara? I know that I have read that it is not really a kara unless it is blessed and given to you, but I believe the deep spiritual meaning that it has. I don't want to offend anyone. Is this okay? Sat Nam!

Hey, Just read a couple of the posts below and am curious to what girls think of moving into the in-laws house after marriage? Is it something you want to do? Is it something you will do but you dont really want to? Do you want to get your own place? And how would you deal with that adjustment - ie, if you dont get the space and peace you used to have before marriage?

Is this forum for Sikhs hence "sikhsangat" or is it open to all. We seem to be getting a lot of differing views on certain subjects. And those who shout the loudest seem to be of non sikh origin. Mod Note: Please register and open topic under Feedback section. Thanks

Nowadays i hear people say we have a job, a house, family and a car. That's all we need we are happy. But Guru Jee says still we can't be happy with all those comforts and luxuries. I hear people say what is need of doing Paatth our mind is clean. But i think it still is MAYA but it has taken on a even better form to decieve people away from Waheguru. When you tell some one to do Paatth or Simran they laugh at you. I even noticed this in Punjab, where they keep you calling you GYANI SAAB or SINGH SAAB (even Baba jee). And yet people in this MAYA people still are argueing and fighting, and doing the same mistakes. Do we stand now helpless in this modern world against KA…
