I just wondered if it was allowed to go out with a pakistani muslim girl who i've grown really close to at uni. I'm shaven Sikh guy and dont follow sikhi to the letter but I do value my religion. I just wondered if a relationship with a girl, who isnt Sikh, was allowed. And if not how do I do I overcome the feelings for her. :wub:

Vjkk Vjkf! a little while ago i had A and W's (its a resuarant) and that was the first time i ate outside for a long time! i'm amritdhari too. so well i had to eat there cause i was with my cousins and we were out of town and this was the only place. so i order a vegi burger, but i forgot to tell them to take off the mayonnese. i noticed it before i ate and took a kleenex and wiped it off, i told everyone that it had maynosse but i did not know if mayonnace had eggs. so i eat the burger after cleaning it with kleenex but i'm not sure if there was some on the sallad... so plz tell me if i was wrong and what i should do!

WJKK WJKF After reading many posts on this form I am thinking about becoming a vegetarian, I just wanted to know if eating egg is ok, I mean the eggs from the grocery store which are unfertlized? ok first of all this one post is from admins permission and it will be locked straiight away. i just wanted to clarufy to the guy thinking of becoming a non-veg, that yes guroo gobind singh ji hunted, however he only hunted those animals that wer human in their past life and went wrong so they didnt make it to sachkhand, guroo ji killed them out of daya and gave them mukti.

Hello all, Sat sri akal, I dont eat meat, but now I am thinking about it. I found out that the tenth Guru and his Sikhs ate meat, and I am thinking that maybe somehow vegetarianism got built in our faith becasue we live with a billion Hindus lol. I also found out that Guru Nanak Dev Ji ate meat to show the Bhramin a leason that eating meat doesnt make you unholly. But I am afraid, I dont want to make a mistake, before i never use to eat meat because i thought Sikhs dont, and I also felt bad to eat another animal. Dear brothers and sisters, I thought that a sikh is allowed to oil their hair. Today I was in town with my friends and this Aunty come up to me and asked whether I was sikh. I said yes to her then she told me that I'm not suppose to oil my hair if I'm a Sikh it agaisnt Rehit Maryada. (I'm not Amrit Dhari yet but hoping to be to the near future). I just wanted to ask why are some people against oiling hair? I only oil my hair because they get dry quite quick. It's not like I'm doing it for the sake of beauty. Why do so many sikhs stick to superstitions and twist the Rehit Maryada words around regarding themselves being Sikhs?

This is the first time in my life that i have told anyone about this, i have a serious problem with lust and internet porn. I CANT STOP. Even when I am doing it, i realize I am doing something wrong, but i keep on going, even when i am watching i realize that it is so disgusting and that these are my sister but i dont stop. For the last few days, i have bene getting in these "modes" " phases" i guess you could say where i becme really sad and sad about odd things why shd i even b sad? i have a house water parents guru ji sangat. waheguru ji ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh!!!! Sangat jio, I was sitting outside today, just thinking, and then i started to think about todays Sikh Youth. Young Sikhs, shud be Striving to learn about their religion/sikhi. And the thing they strive for in their lives is fasion, Boys/Girls, Etc. Gurbani is also very important. Reasoning for this is that, Gurbani is Our guru's Teachings. Many of todays Sikh youth reject wat the ir religion is, and wat sikhi means to them. Living in weastern Society, youths of almost ever culture give up on it, because its to strictt and they would never be able to fallow it to the full extent, so then whats the point of being 'part sikh'…
