  1. SukhdevSinghMedare Ji You clearly know this is not a playground scrap, this is about Gurmat. Your tactics of repeating your same post again and again is just a sign of despracy to back a weak moral agenda. Sikh principles, morals and rehat maryada are being mocked by this Committee. This could be India or UK, they could be Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Sikh but the abuse of the Guru ghar properties is a maha beadbi, the kind of maha beadbi Baba Deep Singh, Baba Gurbaksh Singh, Nankana Sahib shaheeds gave their lives for. Fact is that it's just gone on for too long there's a 5 month history of attempted dialogue with the Committee you defend. You talk about respect for elders but fail to mention the lack of respect the Committee gave to those elders who came from all the various Midlands Gurdwaras to meet Atwal, Sandhu, Purewal, Rai, Medare (your relative) and others. You fail to talk about the insult your Committee has directed to Akal Takht Maryada which our mahan shaheeds gave their lives to uphold. It's nothing personal but the trap GNSS Dudley Committee and members like you have fallen into is that you appear to believe running the house of Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj is about "maximising" the donations. Guru Ji already clearly tells us that influenced by the money, we become greedy, in turn, greed gives rise to corruption and selfishness. In that state not only do we ruin ourselves but we drag our community down with us too. Accordingly, Guru Ji indicates that the ones with greed cannot be trusted. Such people are compared to the mad dog with rabies. "Their madness ruins everything", states the Gurbani. ਲੋਭ ਲਹਰਿ ਸਭੁ ਸੁਆਨੁ ਹਲਕੁ ਹੈ ਹਲਕਿਓ ਸਭਹਿ ਬਿਗਾਰੇ ॥: Lobh lahari sabh suaan halak hai halkio sabhai bigaare: The waves of greed are like mad dogs with rabies. Their madness ruins all (those whom they bite – ਵੱਢ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ) All GurSikhs want to do is to advise your Committee to not drag their jeevans down and not drag the jeevans down of the Community they believe they "support". I understand your loyalty, but perhaps you don't understand the Sidik of the Sikh. Sir Jave ta Jave Mera Sikhi Sidik naa jave My head can go but my Sikhi wont go. You can mock and ridicule people like us all you want, but we will be attending this rally in huge numbers to express our hurt at the continuous abuse the Committee show towards Sikh Maryada and the properties of the Guru Ghar. You can craft cunning loopholes seperating the hall but ultimately the truth is the truth, eventually it's going to force it's way out. I pray you do join us all on Saturday when we unite together and recite Sri Chaupai Sahibs for our Panth's Chardi Kala.

  2. Sukhdev Singh ji. To you a gurdwara is a building with constitutions an clauses, just like a business. To the wider Gursikh sangat a Gurdwara is the house of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji where Gurmat principles are promoted. Dudley GNSS committee clearly dont have the gurmat to further progress Sikhi, oh but really know how to amend clauses and lie about ownership. That kind of Sikhi wont get you far...

  3. I don't know, but I interpret the above shabad such that Bhagat Kabir ji is telling us to make our life useful and do good karam before death. So blood donation would be one way and organ donation would be another after death.

  4. Saad Sangat, SukhdevSinghMedare is just trying to get us worked up so that we may take inappropriate actions at the rally. Please remember that in order to fulfil the Satkaar objective (which we all agree with) we need to behave in an appropraite manner, as literally the world will be watching. Any wrong actions will be multiplied by 10 and held against us.

  5. ANy property a gurdwara owns becomes the property of the guru. How can you justify having meat and alcohol in a building which is not owned but the committee or even the people of dudley, its the proeprty of dhan guru granth sahib ji would you think its ok to have parties in th rooms around the parkarama at darbar sahib as they are techincally darbar dahib itself? your argument is flawed. Just because there is no parkash of guru ji saroop in the building its property of the gurdwara. i think some people need to stop looking at it as "our gurdwars" our community centre" take a step back look outside of the box and im sure you will see everything in a different perspective. If guru Nanak or Guru Gobind Singh was here standing next to you you thin they would say " yeah no problems go have your meat and alcohol" i pray that a the sangat of dudley will understand why this is not acceptable to the sikh quam.

  6. Your lack of answer is all the answer I needed. It is clear that you have admitted to yourself that what you are doing is against Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Sikhi. It is clear the Sikh sangat and 'Dudely Sangat' who are pushing this agenda are part of two very different paths. Carry on with whatever you wish to do but please declare yourselves as something different from the Sikh Panth. Hadh hogayee hun Sikha noo bakhsh lo.

  7. It's a separate place, which is (or was, until very recently) owned and managed by the Gurdwara. You are trying to defend the indefensible. Does Akal Thakht not meaning anything to you and the rest of your Dudley committee?

  8. Press Release and Sangat Update Dudley, UK - 14 May 2011 www.SatkaarCampaign.blogspot.com Saturday 28 May 2011: Peaceful rally at GNSS Dudley Gurdwara All Sangat requested to recite Chaupai Sahib prayer in advance and attend the PEACEFUL RALLY Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! It is with great regret that the UK Sangat is informed that the Guru Nanak Singh Sabha (GNSS) Dudley Gurdwara committee have taken a booking for a party, which will permit alcohol, meat and dancing, to be held at the Sikh Cultural Centre on Saturday 28 May 2011. This has occurred after months of attempted discussions and negotiations by both the Satkaar Campaign and UK Sikh community leaders to persuade the GNSS Dudley Gurdwara committee to follow Gurmat Maryada and the 2006 Sandesh issued by Akal Takhat Sahib. The history of this entire episode can be read on our blog. As all attempts of dialogue with the committee have failed, the UK Sikh Community, supported by leading UK Gurdwaras and all Panthic Jathebandiaan, will be holding a PEACEFUL RALLY at GNSS Dudley Gurdwara on Saturday 28 May 2011 from 2pm, the aim of which will be to raise awareness to the GNSS Dudley Gurdwara committee of their obligation to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj, Akal Takhat Sahib and the Sikh Nation. The UK Sikh Sangat is requested to attend this peaceful rally to advance the Satkaar for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj and to protest against the gross sacrilege that the GNSS Dudley Gurdwara committee are intending to permit and promote. Further details in relation to peaceful rally, including the protocol that must be observed, will be provided in the coming days on our blog. Please keep checking the blog for further information and updates in respect of the peaceful rally. The UK Sikh Community are also humbly requested to recite the Chaupai Sahib prayer as much as possible in the run up to the peaceful rally, as it is only with Guru Ji's blessings that the Sikh Nation will successfully reach a resolution in this matter. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! See previous thread for history on the issue. http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?/topic/58393-dudley-gurdwara-update/

  11. The jealous scholars lodged a complaint with the then ruling authorities regarding Gurmat. The authorities requested that SriGuruAmarDas Ji Maharajh attend Lahore and clarify the situation. SriGuruAmardas Ji Maharajh delegated this task to Bhai Jehta Ji {SriGuruRamDas Ji Maharajh}. Upon hearing this command Bhai Jehta was stunned since they felt that they did not possess the academic ability to satisfy the scholars and the ruling authorities. SriGuruAmarDas Ji Maharajh told Bhai Jehta Ji to go there , recite Sri Mool Mantar five times , and then look at your right sleeve. Bhai Jehta Ji obeyed the command without quivering. When they recited the Mool Mantar five times they saw all the world's vidhya {knowlegde} standing there with clasped hands awaiting their command. Bhai Jehta Ji answered their queries with such splendour that the ruling authorities praised Gurmat. The nindak scholars were left speechless and left the court empty handed. Dhan Dhan SriGuruAmarDas Ji Maharajh. Dhan Dhan Mool Mantar. Dhan Dhan SriGuruRamDas Ji Maharajh.

Just asked my cousin who lives in dudley the only madares he knows in dudley is *personal info edited* who is one of the main "stakeholders" of the sikh cultural centre..so i guess *edit* is related to him and has a interest in this matter......for all his views on income generation can he expalin why a gurdwara like edward street in west brom where i am from is smaller than the dudley one and has a community hall smaller than the dudley one and runs adequately without maas sharab......also he needs to go to sedgely street and see there centre as well.....no wonder he lives 120 miles away from dudley!!!

  14. I had to do some research to work out what you meant by subsidiarity. When I found out what it meant, my reply is that you should understand that the Sikh faith works along the basis of a Nation/Quam/Panth. Therefore, your concept of subsidiarity only applies in a general sense, though where there is a gross abuse of Sikh principles (as the Dudley committee is doing), akal takht has every right to intervene and override what the locals are doing. THIS IS THE SIKH WAY OF DOING THINGS. IF THE DUDLEY GURDWARA COMMITTEE DISAGREES WITH THIS, THEY SHOULD RESIGN FROM THEIR POSITIONS AS CUSTODIANS OF A GURDWARA!

  15. Madare Ji, it does not matter how much one contributes, fiancially or otherwise, no one has the right to say that the Gurdwara is "their's" I think this what is coming out of Dudley. People are saying this is "my Gurdwara" and you can bring howevermany people to the protest but we will continue to have parties with meat/sharab. This is plain wrong. the Gurdwara belongs to the sangat, aa whole and not to any group or individual. You must submit to the will of the Sangat.

  16. You interpretation of those standing against anti-gurmat activities at Dudley GNSS as a pride thing. What about the Committee who are unwilling to follow Sikh Rehit Maryada? The only reason why they are refusing is pride! Bhaji, I appreciate you loyalties to your Gurdwara where you grew up. But the simple issue is that this Gurdwara pass the matta that there will be no meat, alcohol served on Gurdwara property. Its nothing to do with who is elder.

  17. Mr Medare, Can you please explain how "very good Sikhs" can allow the Sangat's money be used for promoting meat and alcohol? Where/how does Sikhi allow this? Why can't you accept that this practice has been outlawed by the highest authority for Sikhs?

  19. This video completely clarifies that meat and sharab cannot be served in the Gurdwara or any Gurdara owned/affiliated building. If Ramgharia Gurdwara Graham Street are trying to go back on their own words and are thinking to allow parties (with or without meat/sharab) then they need to realise that this is just unacceptable and against Gurmat and the vidoe clarifies this! This also applies to Dudley Gurdwara and all the Gurdwarae too!

  20. Press Release and Sangat Update Dudley, UK - 22 May 2011 www.SatkaarCampaign.blogspot.com Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedaar confirms 2006 Sandesh still applies Clarification on letter to Ramgarhia Sikh Temple, Birmingham Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! As the UK Sangat may be aware, 5 Singh Sahibaan (including Jathedaar of Akal Takhat Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji) were present in the UK in the last week. The UK Sangat took this opportunity to seek the support and encouragement of Akal Takhat Sahib's Jathedaar for the Satkaar Campaign. Sevadaars have been informed that the Jathedaar gave statements supporting the Satkaar Campaign in Derby on Saturday 14 May, in Gravesend on Sunday 15 May, in West Bromwich on Monday 16 May and in Central London at Central Gurwara (Khalsa Jatha) on Wednesday 18 May 2011. Importantly, the Jathedaar and his PA, Bhai Jaswinder Pal Singh Ji, confirmed that the 2006 Sandesh still applies in full force, and it is not superseded in any way by a letter from Akal Takhat Sahib to Ramgarhia Sikh Temple, Birmingham dated 31 March 2011. This letter is attached below: As the Sangat will see, this letter is very vague and it does not suggest that the 2006 Sandesh has been revoked. Unfortunately, we are aware that certain Gurdwara committees may be seeking to use this letter to continue justifying/re-starting their Manmat of permitting meat, alcohol, tobacco, parties and dancing on Gurdwara premises. We alluded to this letter in our Press Release of 5 May 2011, though as the Sangat will see, Bhai Jaswinder Pal Singh Ji (who is also the signatory of the letter to Ramgarhia Sikh Temple, Birmingham) clarifies beyond doubt that this letter does not undermine the 2006 Sandesh and that it still applies in full force, in the video below: Rather than seeking to find clever ways to justify having meat, alcohol, tobacco, parties and dancing on Gurdwara premises, we would once again humbly request the relevant offending Gurdwara committees to come within the Gurmat-fold. This also applies to the GNSS Dudley Gurdwara committee, where the UK Sangat is reminded of, and requested to attend on Saturday 28 May 2011 from 2pm, a peaceful protest against a meat and alcohol party being held at GNSS Dudley Gurdwara. 23. ~ Half Million Sri Mool Mantar Sahib Jaaps ~ Current Total ✿✿✿✿✿✿ ✿✿✿✿✿✿ Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Guru Roop Sangat Jeo, Some of you may remember the '1 Million Mool Mantar Sahib' thread that was started in GUPT section last year. The target was to collectively complete 1 Million Sri Mool Mantar Sahib Jaaps before Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharajs birthday, and with Guru Sahibs beant grace the seva was completed well before the set time! Now some SikhSangat members have requested a similar thread be started again, so with Ardaas in Guru Sahibs lotus feet for His kirpa, here we go! The aim this time is to recite 500,000 Sri Mool Mantar Sahibs in Sangat Roop for the chardi kalaa and unity of the Panth. So Sangat Jeo, lets all get together in this karaj and contribute whatever amounts of Jaap recitals we are blessed with. 1 or 3125 Jaaps a day, everything counts!! Perhaps you already know how this is going to work. Basically, SikhSangat sevadaars will be maintaining the counter you see on top of this post, and all you have to do is recite as many Sri Mool Mantar Sahibs as you can with Guru Sahibs Grace and post the count in this thread, simples! You can either use your existing member ID, or post as gupt if you prefer to be, well, gupt  Sevadaars will then add your kamayee to the counter, and leave a note in your post to confirm that the Jaaps have been counted One benti, if you are posting as Gupt, it might take us some time before the posts are checked by the moderating team and approved. So, please wait a while after gupt posting your submission, rest assured it WILL appear in the thread, and counted! Thats it! Sangat Jeo, lets forget about all the controversies that divide us, lets sit united in the lotus feet of Sri Guru Sahib and do as much Jaap as we are blessed with! And, please inform your friends, relatives, societies that may wish to contribute to this wonderful karaj! :mushybounce: See this wonderful thread: Why Should We Recite Sri Mool Mantar Sahib Simar Simar Simar Sukh Paavoh!! Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi Tuhi!!! Dhanvaad!!

  29. This thing is very clear if we keep on fighting among our self there can never be chardikalla of panth. There will be place occasions when two jathebandis had to stand against each other when it comes to mareyada and this is where the seed of hatered is planted. When such situations come its better to look and enforce view point of Akal takth sahib then fighting. Like with sikh channel. If it shows pro abc jatha program the other jatha people declares it anti panthic and stops its financial help and vice verse. And there are many many situations like this. Thats why the need of hour according to me is full promotion of Akal Takth sahibs mareyada when their is a clash of mind sets. The thing which worries me often is after 20 - 30 years the youth today will be in command of panth and this youth dont have even 1% tolerance of going against the mareyada of its own jatha and if nothing is done right now the time when todays youth will be jathedars parcharaks etc it will be most difficult time for ekta of panth.
