Early students who studied with him in the early times have also said they taught him some of their stuff as his stuff was lacking somewhat. There is nothing wrong with this but then why claim its AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL Shastarvidiya. Just tell the truth and why cuss down other gatka ustads who have multiple martial arts skills. He still on his website insults those Sikh Shaheeds who gave their lives for Sikhi, why would a Sikh Warrior condemn those who gave their lives for what they stood for? There was no talk of Snatan Shastarvidiya, at that time it was Gatka and Hatka, then it became Chatka Gatka, then it became Shastarvidiya, then it became Hindu Sikh Shastarvidiya, now because it’s causing backlash he has removed the Hindu-Sikh. A few Questions 1. If it is just about Martial Arts then why is he using Shastarvidiya to preach Snatan Ideology when none of the previous ustads or nihangs did? Why not just leave it out and teach martial arts? 2. Why concoct the elaborate story, Lie and claim to be the LAST Gurdev, why not just say I learnt from budha dal ranjit akhara and i want to continue the tradition? 3. Why curse down all the other gatka akharas, why not work with them to improve the general level of Martial tradition within the Sikh panth in a non-egotistical and forward thinking manner? 4. Why is he still saying that this is the original snatan art from ancient times, when he has clearly mixed the basic shastarvidiya with other arts? (proof of this in one of his videos with Pat'o Malley Pat says these arts are virtually the same, and Nidar says nothing about his special authenticity and also ex-students who shared their knowledge) 5. Why do none of the NIhangs in India Like him or endorse him, and why did they write a letter to akaal takht sahib asking for him to be spoken to? The signatures have been verified and the letter is legit. So many of Nidars students keep saying its fake – how many of you have actually spoken to the Nihang Jathedars. Hajur sahib one of the ancestral homes of the Nihangs have warned he will be shot if he ever steps foot there. I think this says it all - The mentality of the teacher is represented by the behaviour of his students ...... this kind of egotistical my dads better then your dad stuff is what really puts martial arts to shame ! I wouldn't dismiss the Gatka people so candidly - some of them will give as good as they get and when it comes to it will fight with great spirit...... in a street fight your choice of martial art counts for nothing...... Why club every jatha into one category. Here is what Taksal says about Sikhi and women. Right from the current Jathedars mouth. Also Sri Charitorpakhyan is very clear on what women are capable of and how Singhs need to be vigilant about it. Only a naïve person will think all women are innocent. Give us one example of a bibi that had an affair because her Singh was following Gurmat; what is being called as extremist. Instead these bibi pick up on the gyan and increase their jeevans. Bro some important points that I wanted to correct on your post. 1. 50% of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's disciples were originally born to Muslim parents. When they became part of Guru Sahib's Sangat they ceased being Muslim and became Guru ke Sikh. This is a very important point to understand 2. Bhai Mardana was the first Sikh. He was not Muslim. Mughal writers started to claim he was Muslim in order to try and prevent other Muslims from becoming Sikh after Guru Arjan Dev Ji's shaheedi. Dhan Dhan Kabir Ji Maharaj were absolutely NOT Muslim either and they rejected and ridiculed Islam as you can read in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. It's important to remember that just because a person's parents are Muslim that does not make a son Muslim especially if the son is the legendary first Gurmukh or one of our most blessed Bhagats. Sikhs cannot and do not believe in pedophilia. Sikhi condemns pedophilia, slavery, rape of slavegirls and all types of immoral oppression that Muhammad + the Quran promote. PS: Good and innocent Muslims who do not hurt others but were just merely born into a religion/community should be treated with respect. A cousin of mine who is full Sikh was in the same situation some years ago and was impressed by the attitude and behavior of this white gori. However, she claimed and believed to be atheist and then after learning about sikhi realized that it was a great religion without having some Abrahamic God and rituals as in other religions ! I dream of a day where most amrtidharis including myself are candid and honest about themselves and genuine acknowledge they are also walking on the path towards guru they are not there yet, and look themselves in the mirror and acknowledge they are also affected by kam, krodh, lob, moh, ahankar and they are also manmukhs and only gurmukh is sant bhramgyani and guru sahib...that way each one of us who are amritdhari are grounded, much more humble and thats only way we can look inside ourselves, look at our own avguns instead of other avguns and look at our inner journey and explore ourselves internally. For example, you hear them talking a lot about the dangers of today's streets in nearly paranoid terms, as if we are likely to be assaulted at any moment or face attackers lurking around every corner. The martial arts master presents a very powerful image, one who is capable of defeating all enemies and has incredible wisdom. This master is not intimidated by such opponents or modern technology. Since it is unlikely they could actually earn rank within the more traditional styles, they are left to create their own martial arts teaching credentials. To appear even more powerful, they often adopt titles associated with martial arts masters, such as soke and shihan, often to the point of absurdity. For the same reason, you find self-proclaimed martial arts masters have purchased diploma mill degrees or simply awarded themselves with educational credentials. Like martial arts ranks, the academic doctorate title represents a powerful icon to someone who feels inadequate. There is one very well-known martial arts organization run by a self-proclaimed martial arts master who takes full advantage of these fears. For a fee, he will "register" individual applicants as sokes or founders of their own martial arts style, thus providing a sense of legitimacy and group recognition they often are seeking. In addition, he also offers various academic sounding degrees in "oriental philosophy" to members willing to pay for such nonsensical credentials. English translations are not bad, something is better than nothing. But as Gurbani is wrtten in poetry form, the "raag" can be sung only in gurmukhi and one needs to know gurbani to understand katha and keertan. To add further, to read other sacred texts and books. You can certainly ask someone to explain you, but if one knows by oneself, he/she doesn't have to wait for somebody else to explain. Also Gurbani is uttered by Guru sahib ji, may be beacuse Guru ji thought it to be the best medium. Plus we don't really give that much respect to english translations as we do to actual Gurbani. But I personally think, being born in a Sikh family, one should learn Gurmukhi. Or may be at least do the santheya, so gurbani path can be done correctly. But at the end it all depends on person's will to learn and explore, but should keep in mind that if we are born in a sikh family, there's a reason behind it. Bhul chuk maaf

3HO promotes openly manmat act are okay to be committed. They have developed a rehat which is manmat. Taksal Rehat comes straight from Satguru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji Maharaj. Taksal Jathedars do not promote manmat acts. 3HO leader and current leaders openly promote manmat acts. 3HO current leaders do not even know how to read Gurbani in Gurmukhi. Only a cunning person would put both groups in the same boat. 3HO are rotten from the roots, where Taksal is started from Satguru and carried on by Gurmukhs. There is a huge difference here. 3HO leaders women worship at the feet of idols along with the leader while Taksal leaders women worship the one and only Satguru. Taksal leaders women meditate on Shabad Guru, while 3HO leaders women practice and teach others how to do yoga before a stone idol. Does it matter which jatha the OP claims to be part of? Many youth today claim to be part of Taksal, but they do not show one quality that says they are from Taksal. Tying a round dastar does not make a person from the Taksal. 3HO were brought into this thread because it is obvious the OP has been influenced by them and their twisted beliefs.

in reply to the research - at least 10 other Nihang Singhs have gone in the last five years from USA, Canada, and India. Baba Giani Singh (who learnt from Baba Giana Singh "Rabb JI") who is alive said Nidar Singh has got hankar, as he met him once briefly at Hazur Sahib, and this inner-hankar has caused him to break away from the Khalsa Panth into Brahamanism. One of the singhs also met Baba Pritam Singh for one day.

The OP needs to get away from 3HO and start reading Gurbani for themselves. 3HO cult can only read Gurbani in English translations, so what do they know about Gurmat. The cult leader and Guru was a yoga instructor who cunningly twisted Gurbani to fulfill his worldly desires. Stop using 3HO as an authority on Sikhi. They first need to focus their attention on learning Gurmukhi, reading Gurbani and then understanding Gurbani before trying to interpret Gurbani for the world.

Quinoa is good choice, high in protien, many recipes apart from treating it as rice, it can be mixed with vegetable salad - tomato, cucumber, spinach, onion, bell peppers, turnip, brocolli, carrots, lettuce, etc and get olive oil and lemon for dressing or as a fruit salad - quinoa + mango + strawberry etc, try different combinations or quinoa + boiled black chick peas, or beans as salad...... and make sure not to over boil the quinoa

As long as you are spending time remembering waheguru, doing paath and are leading a sikh lifestyle there's nothing wrong with spending some time watching a decent movie or following a tv show. imho it only becomes a problem if you prioritise those things over sikhi.

He went to see and saw noone but it seemed like the sound of footsteps followed her. He got spooked and started doing Mool Mantar out aloud and when he entered the room, where his wife was. He saw a boy with fire burning around his face. The boy said please keep reciting I find peace. The wife was scared and said who are you, how did u get here? The boy answered, "I was a Sikh like you, but go into bad sangat, got really depressed, and me and some other Sikhs decided to commit suicide together. We jumped off the bridge, and died.(it happened at a bridge famous in canada for commintting suicide.) Ever since then, we've been burning and it is so painful. But ur wife stopped at the bridge and she had this going on in her car. So i followed her to listen to it. It is soothing, it is the only thing that stops the fire. (I forget the ending. Gurbani says we have a right to protect our crop. The crop is our Panth and innocent youngsters falling prey to nang sanatan ideology. Call it insecurity or whatever, the truth is the truth.

The quote appears more to be discussing the general degradation in the Sikhs rather than the decline in some secret art called Shastarvidya. Here Shastarvidya means knowledge of the use of weapons rather than the art which a factory worker from Birmingham claims to have discovered! The quote would be supportive of Niddar's hotch potch 'secret' art, if Gyani Gyan Singh actually referred to any of the techniques Niddar teaches or even if it referred to one of the many different names that Niddar has given his 'lost' art like Jhatka Gatka etc.
