He is the only white Sikh guy I can see that is speaking out and standing up for political issues that concern Sikhs. Parcharikhs should do parchar that actual power/shakti of gurbani has manifested in bhai sahib gurbaksash singh khalsa as its hard for normal human being like us to survive without food for a week let alone 34 plus days, on deep spiritual level when real self atma-paratma gets illuminated or pargat in body, it takes control of body - it takes care of body needs, repair blood cells within, atma feeds nectar/energy to body via dasam dwara or hirda..in this way enlighten being can survive without eating food or water for very long time, but body eventually falls apart after a period as body cannot sustain intensity of divine energy - gurbani parkash/hirdei parkash/atam parkash and body eventually gives up. Simran345, Don't get stressed and bogged down with names of mantars. Leave that for scholars to argue over. Who cares if it's called mool mantar, maha mantar, beej manatar, sadhant mantar etc etc etc You just pick the one you feel like japping and do the practical reciting. That is where you will find the true essence. Not in the title of the mantar. The underlying motive of japping a mantra is to reach the abode of Waheguru right, so recite with full faith and devotion and let it be the guide for the inward journey. You are japping for your own benefit with love so how can anything you jap from gurbani take you the wrong way or do you more harm than good. You will be totally blind on the inward path anyway so let the mantar do the guiding, you just follow it... Lets say you jap any mantar with such intensity and devotion that Waheguru blesses you with his darshan in whatever form that maybe, so fast, that you supposedly die from it. That is possibly the most extreme thing that could happen to you as an individual. Wouldn't it be worthwhile? Haven't you fulfilled the objective of this life and died at his feet? The point I'm making is why be afraid of the consequences of his jaap. He is within you and knows it is he you seek. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Western media generally is not interested in covering Sikh issues. They see men with turbans and have been brainwashed into thinking 'terrorist'. I still don't understand how 10 words with 40 rhetorical devises constitutes as the greatest miracle. I think the reason why Muslims over emphasize on this point is because Prophet Mohammad did not perform any miracle. The only miraculous thing that happened through prophet Mohammad was the Ayyats he received from an angel. For them Quran is the greatest masterpiece written but this is an opinion that is subjective at best, not everyone will find the Quran as attractive as a Muslim. If they want to get into a competition of miracles then this 10 worded miracle is child's play because there is no shortage of even bigger miracles that occurred through the Sikh Gurus and Bhagat Sahibaan whose bani is in Guru Granth Sahib jee. Take the example of Bani. While Quran Ayyats came to Prophet Mohammad through angel Gabriel(Jabraeel). So it came like this: God--->Angel Gabriel--->Prophet Mohammad On the other hand Bani came to the Gurus directly from Vaheguru God--->Guru Jee Bani did not come through a middle man as did the Ayyats of Quran. So even on this subject Gurbani is a greater miracle than Quran. That is why Gurbani is Baniaan Sir Baani

I would like to see more proactive sikhs like jagroop singh, because, let's face it, very few sikhs can actually give a reasonable explanation of what sikhi is to non-sikhs. i have had a similiar experience to this, when my friend from pakistan wanted me to convert to islam. i told him lets have a debate, if you can convince me that islam is superior (his words, the usual talk, islam is the superior true divine faith) i will become a muslim, but if you fail you have to become a sikh. he agreed and we debated for over 2 hours, covering many of the things that jagroop singh covered, and when he saw that he was failing, he legged it. didnt even say "see you". just plain ran off. saw him a few days later, and he said he would bring around a couple of white converts to talk to me, i told him the same thing, if they fail to convince me, they have to become sikhs. he never brought them around, prolly afraid they might end up becoming at best disiilusioned with their new faith, and worst, becoming sikhs. The dawah tactics( and christian tactics) is something that we need to discuss in sikh circles more, so more and more sikhs know how to respond, rather than get suckered. this video may just be the turn and the spark that we needed. VJKK VJKF, Sangat ji, as you have all ready said, this was all Kirpa of Guruji and Guru ki Sangat ji. We were just going about doing our parchar and the muslims guys started to approach our Singhs and questioning them. They were already aware of our "Street Parchar" and also previously they had made a "whitewash" video condemning the grooming which had also criticised as it just defended Islam rather than dealt with the issue. They approached us, they had questions and obviously we didn't want to look like we didn;t want to deal with this. As you saw, they did pick their best man or maybe he picked himself and he came with this silly argument. He's used this argument in so many of his videos, its probably his favourite and as you can see, he got to it straight away. Mahraaj kirpa, we batted him off but really since it was being filmed, our job was to ensure that Sikhi parchar got across rather than just let him talk. He's probably used to Sikhs who have nothing to say back so this is where his confidence began to break. Daas is grateful for your kind words but really, its all Guru's kirpa that so many of our youth got to watch this video and saw a Saabat Soorat Sikh tell the Dawah Man whats what about Sikh. A lot of our youth lack confidence and knowledge nowadays, both of which are linked tbh. We're going to making more videos that deal with this exact issue of countering conversion tactics. The main issue we have at the moment is lack of either committed volunteers or lack of funds to hire skilled people to do a lot of the admin and editing of our videos. The struggle for independence was started once the GOI attacked Sri Darbar Sahib. Sant Ji's bachan was that 'if the Indian Government invaded the Darbar Sahib complex, the foundation for an independent Sikh state will have been laid.' I would not turn my back on the call for freedom. So the Sikhs after 6/6/1984 declared war on india, the Sarbat Khalsa of 26/1/1986 declares independence and formed the Five Memeber Panthic Committee and the Khalistan Commando Force as the military wing of the Sikhs. 70,000 and more Sikhs have given Shaheedi and the youth of Panjab gave their blood for Khalistan, we cannot turn our backs on their dreams and wishes??? If we stop dithering and commit ourselves to doing seva on a FULL TIME biases, do parchar to make EVERY Sikh know we a slaves in India. If we strategise and work out how we as Sikhs living outside of panjab can help our brothers and sister out, with media and IT support, logistical support, training in PR, how to structure their organisations to tackle infiltration and to keep focused on the task in hand ie independence, how to record details of Human Rights abuses etc am sure we will go a long way in our struggle. @ N30Singh - I've just read the Anandpur Sahib Resolution on Wikipedia and I was very impressed with the issues it wished to highlight. Like you said there are a few amendments that need to be made according to changing circumstances over the years, but overall I think it is a great building block from which Sikh movements should aim to advance.
