  1. Lol at this thread so many people who dont have respect for Sikhism. Ie people like dallysingh who have a trash mouth and openly use disgusting and fifthly language . I dont know why the moderators have not banned this for his perverse language. And he needs to stop going on about jatt women and jatts. jascfsingh is a person who just comes to further ignite fights on here with his comments. Jagwahsingh although you made some informative post regarding the Afghan Sikhs in Southall you are comming across as judging the whole community based on your views. which is plain right narrow minded and someone of your age should no better! I think all three of you need to take a chill pill and relax !!

  2. Jagsaw You were not imparting knowledge as you suggest, but also racism/casteism. And you were well aware of that effect as you acknowledged in your own post referring to past reaction toward your posts. This is further illustrated by the pattern in many of your postings. Others have called you on it at various times. It is the repetition of that casteist perspective in posts that takes representation of Sikhi to the gutter. Disguise it in as much selective armchair history as you wish, but at the end of the day if everyone started imparting knowledge in the manner you did, we would be speaking of negative characteristics via caste identification of all types of groups. There would be a barrage of examples of characteristics for all groups. The people who I hear speak the loudest for caste in Sikhi are jatts. However, those are also the people who I hear despise jattism more than anyone else. In particular the single trait that you will hear Sikhs who happen to be jatts find most disgusting amongst other jatts is caste pride. They have rejected caste to select Sikhi and are outspoken warriors for Sikhi in this respect. This jattism they speak against is no different than a racism that is ingrained from childhood. This type of casteist cultural upbringing is a brainwashing that is so deep that it is overcome by therapy or very difficult self-examination. Rational thought or simple intelligence can mask it, but it still exists and will resurface. A racism so strong and mainstream is not the type that can simply be considered as fringe element in our society. It is a disease living amongst us. It brings out the worst counter hatred from all other groups amongst a society of Sikhs that still struggles to extract itself from caste. It is very important to note that counter-hatred is hatred plain and simple. It is no less judgmental or wrong. Otherwise every single group will say “we are simply reacting” or “we are simply stating facts”. The anti-jatt contingent is very good at attempting to excuse its own ugly casteism with this. There can be a place and manner to identify traits amongst groups. Respectfully, you are the last person who should take on something like this. It is something that takes great insight to be done for any effective purpose. For the largest majority of us, we should clean up our own backyard. For me that backyard is Sikhs and there is plenty of cleaning up to do right across the board. By pointing fingers at “the other” much of who our minds create, we are simply ignoring our own mess. Our Guruji’s Sikhi has been cut off from the world by caste ridden punjabi illiteracy. On its own it would effortlessly spread its wings across the globe, across cultures, and across current race constructs. Our guruji’s were visionaries for the human race centuries ago. Sikhi would be the model of global harmony and mixed families in sikhi saroop. Yet how sad that while the world breaks down fleeting constructs of race, we are still stuck with versions of punjabi. We claim to be Sikhs but if push comes to shove we live and think as a indu subcaste. If it quacks like a …. , so step up your game and stop quacking bro.

  3. "His People" Dallysingh101, are people such as Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale the present day Satkar Committee and people like Bhai Rajoana and Prof Bhullar : i.e people that take direct action against any that insult the honour of the dastar. "His people" Dallysingh101, are all of we people here on this forum who constantly post threads and messages about news stories of dastar wearing Sikhs of a Jatt background who indulge in crimes or immoral activities and state that they MUST remove those dastars if they wish to behave in such shamefull ways. "His people" Dallysingh101, are the 80,000 that march in central London each June wishing for the deaths of immoral dastar wearing Sikhs of a jatt background, such as Badal and KPS Gill. You my friend, because of your shamefull bigotry against all Sikhs of a rural background, are incapable of seeing how the Jatt Sikhs in the west always, without fail, come down hard on any keshdari jatt Sikh that indulges in bad things. Your bigotry has blinded you of the fact that the 'gang-bangers etc' of Vancouver are, to the last man, mona sikhs. You don't seem to have even the most basic understandiing of the honour that comes with the dastar and how we shoud all come down hard on any that tarnish that honour. For example, you seem to have forgotten all the messages I have written on this very forum where I go on very personal vendettas against dirty and corrupt jat Sikh millionaiire businessmen, for example the Presidents of various Gurdwaras. You seem to have forgotten how I have gone into detailed chasing and tracing excercises with regards to their business interests etc. There you again. Pure ignorance and blindness founded and fuelled by your pure bigotry. The jatts make a up a tiny minority of the Punjab Police. With the state quotas for the so called 'backward classes' it is almost the preserve of the churas and chamars, Very few jatts get that job. Underneath the uniform hat that is shaped like a turban, 99% of them are hair-cutted churas and chamars. But, I'm sure that won't stop you blaming the jatts. There you again with your bigoted ignorance. The fact that the drug epidemic in Punjab is at its worst in urban areas and the jatts hardly exist in urban areas will not stop you. Your bigotry ensures you are not possible to understand reason. What ??? You've clearly never stepped foot inside a Punjab village and this claim of yours is so ludicrous its hardly worthy of a reply. Wow. Such disgusting language on a religious forum full of youngsters. You ought to feel thoroughly ashamed of yourself. So now you're not only advocating criminality you're actually saying any Sikh that doesn't do crime is a soft mummy's boy What on earth is wrong with you ? You may recall, this thread is about dastar wearing keshdari Sikhs bringing utter shame to that crown. If you know of dastar wearing crack cocaaine dealers you should do the decent thing and not only bring it to our attention so that we can forcefully deal with it but also notify the authorities. No you don't see anything of the sort in Canada. I know the situation and people well and I have never ever encountered a dastar wearing keshdari Sikh amongst any of those gangsters. . So now your're using obscene langage because you're upset that anyone might come in the way of these lovely people committing their lovely crimes ? How can a bunch of keshdari dastar wearing Sikhs pickpocketting innocent citizens and stealing their hard earned property be "nothing" ? I'm sure it caused a great deal of personal and financial heartache to those thousands of victims, many of whom were chldren and many of whom had been saving up years to buy those phones. You obviously missed that message from Balkar in which he articulated clearly how this is about a national identity and not the 'caste' of that nationality. At the end of the day, it is our sons and daughters dastars that is being dishonoured if we continue to shut our mouths too afarid to say anything about how these people marry and have children with their 1st cousins and the way in which they do not belive females have any business in growing their hair and being Sikhs. I know alot of people don't understand this point because they only really ever see Muslim females covered up but what they don't understand is that underneathh that covering the Muslim female has a religious duty to be extremely beauty parlourfied as their holy scriptures say she must make herself extremely sexually arousing for her man. This is the same concept these Afghan Sikhs in west London have brought over to the UK and this is all going to have an extremely negative impact on our children if we keep ur mouths shut and do and say nothing.

  4. The doctor is right in what he is saying, but all health conditions/diseases do not originate from mental problems. Certainly stress does play a part in affecting one in how to manage their condition, and can exaggerate it. He has a good point about positive thoughts creating happiness and energy. I have nothing against the lady on the tv, some of her talks are good. But, I was recently invited to a Satsang of Brahmakumaris, but I didn't go so left it at that.

  9. wjkk wjkf, I just wanted to ask, as a sikh, what do we need to know about meditation? I know its a big part of sikhi and dasam duar and stuff, but in a world where everyone is becoming more busy and stressed out and they find that life is deeper than the materalialism and maya, I feel like more people are willing to try out spirituality and meditation, i want to know what to say to people about the sikh way of meditation, When people think of meditation they usually think of like buhddist zen meditation or the hindu vedas or something, or even kundalini yoga and yogi bhagan (can someone explain the deal on that guy aswell) But not sikh meditation, whats the best way to describe our meditation of naam and how can i reccommend it to people who want to get into mediation? Thank you look forward to any response Wjkk Wjkf

  13. Yup, your right. You can separate the theology and other stuff from the art form. By learning kung fu from a buddhist monk you won't become Buddhist. Take what you need from whoever is the best at teaching it. You do need to be weak minded and gullible to be brainwashed. Maybe the very young and other certain groups maybe vulnerable but your average half clued up person has nothing to fear.

  14. What exactly is the significance of any date in history? We should remember our 10 guru's daily. Just as we should remember the sacrifices of the panj pyare, chaar sahibjadey, 40 mukhtia, Singh + Singhnian who gave their life to the panth etc. We remember them daily in ardas and not a day should pass by where do not remember these brave warriors. It's nice to have a fixed date for the young kids who aspire towards Sikhi but we should remember these sacrifices daily.

  16. I agree with Dally Paji, don't go. Give yourself a chance and time for this change. As you know if you go, it will be hard to control not drinking when everyone else is. If you talk to him direct, instead of hiding or making excuses, just tell him that you're stopping drinking and being around those that do won't help you at this stage. Dally Paji is right is right, if he is a genuine friend he won't encourage you or make fun of you. It's times like this when one finds out their real friends. Don't give into group pressure of friends, time to stand on your own feet and not follow others like sheep. You got to be bit disciplined with yourself, not let others walk all over you. Make your own decisions. You've just started, don't throw the towel in so soon. You will feel so much better for it after, rather than regretting and feeling the dialogue Dally Paji put on above. Banda banja ??

  19. Yep, Nidar may be a scumbag, his views warped and repellent, but there's no question that he has helped many young Sikhs learn to defend themselves. Just look at his videos. His martial art may be a fabrication and a ripoff but his instruction is pretty sound and he seems to know what he is talking about - unlike those deluded gatka instructors who are convinced that their aerial twists and twirls will come in handy in a violent confrontation. Find a more useful martial art - any other martial art. Even regular boxing will have you throwing better punches. Gatka is a performance art, not a fighting art, and certainly not the fighting art of the puraatan Khalsa. Those Sikhs wishing to pay homage to the martial arts of their ancestors should also consider becoming proficient in the use of firearms. I'm surprised that the modern gatkabaj, living forever in his or her bubble of nostalgia, has forgotten that the Sikhs were not primarily famed as swordsmen, but as the pre-eminent horsemen and sharpshooters of their time. The Sikh guns and the Sikh cavalry charge, to say nothing of their zeal and reckless bravery, were what made our ancestors truly feared.

It could well be a doctored, edited version . If the RSS portion is legit, then it looks like Nidar Singh has clearly lost the plot, using a Hindu right wing fascist racist organisation to help you such as the RSS which has openly stated that it seeks to turn India into a solely Hindu state is insane... I still however maintain, that Gatka is a complete utter waste of time, and cannot be classified as a combat art. It is a dance act for performing circus clowns.. There are plenty of better arts to learn..

  26. Don't go. If he is a genuine friend he should understand. If not now, later. It's not like he's a school girl who would be devastated if a friend never turned up for a birthday bash. Get yourself sorted out, that should be your first and foremost priority. All this other sh1t is secondary to that. You won't be much of friend to anyone as a coke-head, alcoholic. Sort yourself out. Take however long it takes. Don't worry about party/celebrations at this delicate stage. You already know that you are more than likely to slip off the wagon if you go. Commend yourself for having that much self-awareness and honesty. Now act on it.

  29. Yeah I agree we shouldn't be calling any one an agent especially when we are all working towards the same goal, but just differently. Its like that guy Guri who has made videos against Bapu Surat Singh even though they are on the same side! I feel when we do this we only end up cancelling each other out and making our enemies stronger because we end up looking weaker. I think we can learn a thing or two from the Kurds. They have their differences too but they always get united for the common cause and face the enemy jointly. Just look at what happened in Syria where the Syrian Kurds were facing a ruthless enemy like ISIS. Kurds from Iraq and Turkey and even the Kurds living in the west poured into Syria to help their brothers. And they are the only ones gaining ground against ISIS. We need to be like them. Instead we are our biggest enemies. If Sikhs dont oppose Sikhs, if Sikhs dont kill Sikhs then no one can defeat Sikhs.

  30. So I was talking to my family and I was always under the impression that they orignated from west punjab prior to 47, they were in areas such as lyalpur (now called fasialbad), montgomery (sahiwal), multan etc But now I have been told that we originate from where we live now which is adampur and kurdhpur next to jahalandhar and that we used to migrate to different areas of punjab where there was nothing and build up the land to make it agricultural I was just wondering did many sikhs do this? Or did most originate from where they came from before partition? My clan are aujla. Even though I dont believe in caste stuff, its just relevant to find out more about clans who used to do this and their history. WJKK WJKF

  31. Lailpur and Sargodha were canal colonies created by the British for Sikh soldiers. The original inhabitants were called Jaangli by the Sikh settlers. Sikhs had made this land into the most productive land in all of India. Sikhs here owned hundreds of acres of land per family. Sikh soldoers from all over Punjab were given land there. The above info is based on what I have been told by my elders from Nanke side were are from Amritsar originally then got land in Lailpur and after partition moved back to Amritsar. But besides the canal colonies there was already a large Sikh population of Sikhs in west Punjab. Lahoris, Sialkotis, Gujranwalias etc

  33. And now, in a typically Indian fashion, they attempt to change stories: http://www.5abihub.net/news/suno-punjab-police-gurdaspur-sp-behind-pathankot-attack/ The real reason, it seems, is this: The Akali-BJP duo's patent desire to ignore Punjab's economic meltdown and claim "all is well!" We only need one more to join the party and Tyrion can have his very own version of 3 Idiots. http://m.hindustantimes.com/analysis/on-the-brink-of-an-abyss-punjab-s-governance-economy-are-in-shambles/story-9zoQR2xLAmwI362Qu6entJ.html On the other hand, though, it can be argued that an excuse is needed to exert more authoritarian pressure on the Punjab and in order to achieve this the Pathankot attacks have been invited. The Police is the most patent form of political authority and in order to reinforce it additional paramilitary personnel will be dispatched to the Punjab; superficially it will be a "major and much needed police overhaul" but in reality it will just be a strengthening of the Akali-BJP position against any dissent. Come the election times and we will have all anti-Akali/BJP voters either shot dead in encounters or conveniently jailed on sedition charges. Capiche?

An independent report, ordered by Communities Secretary, Eric Pickles, concluded that the local authority was "not fit for purpose" after finding it has a culture of "bullying, sexism, suppression and misplaced 'political correctness"'. Following the publication of the report, which was written by Louise Casey, Rotherham Council's ruling Labour cabinet issued a statement annoucing the entire leadership was stepping down. The statement said: "As a Cabinet, whatever the details, as the political leadership of the council we must take responsibility. We therefore announce our intention to resign our positions as soon as transitional arrangements can be put in place." He also said he would order early elections in 2016 for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council. In a statement to MPs he said: "My proposals are designed to give the council the new start it needs and to put an immediate end to the council's on-going service and governance failure. "I am seeking to make an order under the Local Government Act 2000 to move Rotherham council to all out elections in 2016 and every fourth year thereafter. "The 2016 elections will be an opportunity for the people of Rotherham to renew the membership of their council and elect those they have confidence in." He added: "In the immediate term, I am minded to appoint commissioners who will provide new leadership taking over the roles of the currently wholly dysfunctional cabinet. "I am proposing they will therefore initially exercise all the functions currently exercised by the cabinet - that is all the council's executive functions." In addition the National Crime Agency (NCA) announced its ongoing investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rotherham was to be extended in the light of Miss Casey's findings. The NCA said it will "examine a number of potentially criminal matters identified during a recent inspection of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council". In a statement the NCA said: "Communities and Local Government Minister Eric Pickles today informed Parliament of the outcome of an inspection conducted by a team led by Louise Casey. A number of matters have been referred to Operation Stovewood as they potentially fall within its terms of reference. "It would not be appropriate to comment in detail about the matters referred until investigators have an opportunity to analyse the information, which they will do as part of phase one of the investigation. "The NCA can confirm that the matters referred are allegations of potential criminal behaviour. Operation Stovewood is not investigating any misconduct matters." © Copyright of Telegraph Media Group Limited 2015

  40. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/three-west-midlands-police-officers-8558570 Three West Midlands Police officers sexually exploited underage girls06:30, 2 February 2015 By Jeanette Oldham Among 22 cases where cops or staff accused of abusing their position of authority to prey on the public 2630 Shares Share Tweet +1 Email West Midlands Police Three West Midlands Police officers abused their position of authority by sexually exploiting underage children in the last two years. The predators in uniform were sacked or resigned after being convicted at court for targeting a 15-year-old and two 14-year-olds. Meanwhile, other officers from the force have been dismissed or disciplined for a range of offences or conduct relating to sexual exploitation of members of the public. Yet one cop was allowed to simply resign after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 21-year-old suspect who was on bail. Another faced only ‘management action’ after being accused of flirting with a domestic violence victim. West Midlands Police has also confirmed there are currently eight live investigations into claims officers and/or staff may have abused their positions of authority by sexual exploitation. The shocking details were revealed after a Freedom of Information request by the Mail to the force. We had asked for details of all cases of abuse of position of authority by sexual exploitation for 2012 to 2014. After initially insisting it could not provide the information, the force eventually released data which showed 13 police officers and one civilian staff member had been accused of abuse of authority through sexual exploitation during that period. All were white. The force refused to release details of the eight other live cases. The most serious cases from 2012 saw the three police officers charged and convicted at court after targeting underage children. One resigned after inappropriate sexual contact by text with a 15-year-old, while a second was said to have ‘retired/resigned’ after inciting a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity. The latter had been facing a discreditable conduct investigation over the alleged abuse of the 14-year-old victim. The third officer was dismissed after “sexually assaulting a minor over a sustained period’’, who was also just 14-years-old. Lloyd House, the West Midlands Police HQ The Freedom of Information response also detailed other cases of abuse of power by sexual exploitation by West Midlands Police officers and staff. One officer facing a discreditable conduct complaint in 2012 was alleged to have had a sexual relationship with a 21-year-old who was on bail. The cop resigned, bringing the investigation to a close. The same year an officer was dismissed after entering into a relationship with a ‘vulnerable’ member of the public, age unknown, while another cop was sacked after being accused of a sexual assault in the workplace. Also in 2012, another officer faced management action - advice about their conduct, the lowest form of disciplinary sanction - after being accused of making sexual suggestions to a member of the public, aged 30. In 2013, the force sacked an officer who had been accused of breaching ‘honesty and integrity’ rules after he was alleged to have ‘‘lied to his supervisors to leave work early to have sex with a vulnerable female’’, who was aged 30. The same year management action was taken against one officer after text messages showed he may have entered into an ‘‘inappropriate’’ relationship with a 27-year-old victim. The force also took management action against another officer in 2014, who was accused of behaving inappropriately by flirting with a 34-year-old domestic violence victim. Of the four remaining cases, the force ruled there was no case to answer against an officer accused of sexually discriminatory behaviour, or that of a staff member accused of sexually harassing a member of the public. A complaint was not upheld against an officer accused of acting inappropriately towards a complainant and allegations against another officer that they had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a member of the public was subject of a ‘disapplication’ - stopped by the force before an investigation began. Last week it was revealed a report prepared by the former Serious Organised Crime Agency for the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) had warned the number of police officers exploiting crime victims and witnesses for sex was increasing. The nationwide investigation, compiled in 2013 and based on three years of intelligence, said officers abusing their positions for ‘sexual gratification’ was ‘a major concern’. The findings formed part of a new report by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC) which showed that of 4,611 investigations nationally into alleged abuse of power, 2,891 did not lead to a prosecution or internal disciplinary action. And in the 12 months to March 31 in 2014, a total of 406 officers and police staff were investigated for sexual misconduct, a four per cent rise on the previous year. One in six were allowed to retire or resign and around 40 per cent faced no further action. The report added that the 43 police forces in England and Wales had done much to tackle corruption, but more proactive measures were needed to improve internal reporting systems, as half of all officers did not believe they were confidential enough. Michael Cunningham, from HMIC HMIC inspector Mike Cunningham said he wanted to see “a more proactive approach by police leaders to identify officers likely to conduct themselves in this way and put preventative measures in their way. They have to be more vigilant. It is not decreasing and remains a significant problem. “Police officers were quick to tell us that they see corrupt colleagues as a betrayal of the vast majority who are honourable, decent and hard-working.” Jacqui Cheer of the Association of Chief Police Officers stressed corruption was “neither endemic nor widespread” and added: “However, the actions of a few corrupt officers can corrode the reputation of the vast majority who work hard every day to protect the public. “We will continue to improve our approach so that those who are not fit to be in the police are held to account and removed.” In 2012 the Independent Police Complaints Commission and Acpo published a report which said forces should make the prevention, detection and investigation of officers abusing their powers for sexual exploitation a priority. Their joint report followed the case of Northumbria police constable Stephen Mitchell, 43, who was jailed for life in January 2011 for carrying out sex attacks on vulnerable women, including prostitutes while on duty. Other high-profile cases include South Wales Police family liaison officer Detective Constable Jeffrey Davies, who was jailed for three years in 2013 for sexually assaulting victims of domestic abuse who he was supposed to be looking after. West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council are putting extra resources into tackling child sexual exploitation, after being criticised for failing vulnerable youngsters, including some thought to have fallen victim to on-street grooming gangs. Yet the force previously controversially refused to release pictures of ten Birmingham men named in court as having sexually exploiting a 17-year-old girl. Court injunctions have now banned the men, all Asian, from approaching young girls. High Court judge Mr Justice Keehan said police submissions that their safety would be at risk if their pictures were released “made no sense at all” – with the evidence provided “at best speculative.” WARWICKSHIRE POLICE Last year the force sacked a police staff member for discreditable conduct relating to sexual exploitation of a 35-year-old member of the public. The force did not disclose the victim’s age. In 2013 the force investigated an officer and a civilian employee, both over allegations of sexual misconduct involving members of the public. One of the cases was dealt with by an intervention meeting by the anti-corruption unit, the other was filed with ‘no findings of misconduct’. STAFFORDSHIRE POLICE Four officers and staff were investigated for abuse of authority by sexual exploitation in 2012 and 2013. Figures were not disclosed for 2014. In 2012 one officer was investigated for discreditable conduct involving a member of the public whose age was not recorded. Investigations found there was a ‘case to answer’; the officer resigned. The following year two officers and one civilian member of staff were investigated for discreditable conduct relating to abuse of authority by sexual exploitation. A 55-year-old police officer was found to have a case to answer. He too was said to have retired/resigned. The force was unable to provide an age for the victim. A second police officer was found to have no case to answer over allegations they sexually exploited three women, two aged 35 and another aged 44. A civilian staff member was also exonerated over allegations of discreditable conduct involving a member of the public, whose age was not recorded by the force. WEST MERCIA Six West Mercia Police officers and staff were investigated for abuse of authority by sexual exploitation in 2012 and two in 2013. The force refused to disclose the number for 2014.Among those investigated in 2012 was an officer who was subsequently dismissed for ‘discreditable conduct/other sexual conduct’ involving three members of the public aged 28, 40 and 42.In the same year the force filed as ‘intelligence only’ an allegation of discreditable conduct against a civilian member of staff. The age of the victim was not recorded. In 2013 an officer was sacked and subjected to criminal proceedings over allegations of sexual misconduct involving two members of the public, aged 43 and 37.

Photograph: Christopher Furlong/Getty Images A Home Office researcher who uncovered the scale of child sex abuse in Rotherham more than 10 years ago was left in fear of her life after being visited by two South Yorkshire police officers, MPs have been told while taking evidence in private. The Commons home affairs select committee, meeting in a secret session on Tuesday to protect the identity of the researcher, heard that an office break-in followed the contact from the South Yorkshire officers and her files went missing. When the MPs put the allegation to the former South Yorkshire chief constable, Meredydd John Hughes, who was deputy head of the force at the time, he said he knew nothing of the Home Office research report and told the committee that he had had "no idea of the scale and scope" of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham. The committee took the highly unusual step of taking the evidence from witnesses on oath under the 1871 Perjury Act. A devastating official inquiry report last month found that at least 1,400 young people in Rotherham had been subjected to sexual abuse over a period of 16 years. Hughes, who was first deputy chief constable and then chief constable of South Yorkshire police for nine years until October 2011, told MPs he felt he had "singularly failed the victims" in Rotherham. "I am not an idle man… Some of the reports… I frankly felt sick last night when I read them. I am not immune to the ideas that this is a hideous crime and I am deeply embarrassed. But I can say with honesty that at the time that I was both deputy and chief constable, I had no idea of the scale and scope of this type of organised crime." He later told committee chairman, Keith Vaz: "I take no pleasure from this. I have had a 32-year police career, and yet on this issue I have signalled failed the victims of these criminals and it hurts. It is something that I loathe." He strenuously denied suggestions from MPs on the committee that he had been grossly incompetent or had been involved in a dereliction of duty, but added: "I do have questions to ask myself. I look on with a sense of horror … I wish I had done more." But Vaz bluntly told Hughes that he found his evidence "totally unconvincing" and said while his contrition was welcome it needed to go further and his evidence would be referred to the Woolf inquiry into child sexual exploitation. The Conservative MP, Nicola Blackwood, said the committee had heard evidence in private from the Home Office researcher that her 2002 report had been greeted with hostility by the South Yorkshire police. She said they had heard evidence that the researcher had been contacted by two officers who threatened to pass her name on to the groomers in Rotherham and she had been left in fear of her life. The Liberal Democrat MP Julian Huppert suggested to the current South Yorkshire chief constable, David Crompton, that there had been an active conspiracy involving police officers and questioned how the public could now trust South Yorkshire police. Crompton said: "I'm absolutely committed to getting to the bottom of it. If there are any disciplinary matters, and some of these are being raised with me for the first time today, you have my absolute commitment we'll get to the bottom of it." 42. SIGNATURE SIZE LIMIT Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh! Dear Sangat, It has come to our attention that some of the members are not within the 'allowable' signature limit. This limit is enforced because if someone's signature is too big and they've posted several times in one topic it extends the topic over several pages and the posts go onto the next pages. As part of the forum rules/guidelines and to ensure the posts don't extend to pages upon pages we have made this topic. If someone violates the above rule one of the sevadars will have to edit their signature so that it meets the above requirements. We don't like doing this but just having this policy in the rules/guidelines page isn't enough as many members still have almost twice the above limitation. Lets make everyone's visit to SS as pleasant as possible. Bhul chuk muaf. Your sevadars Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh! Quality Control SikhSangat.com reserves the right to place any member under quality control moderation as and when they see fit. An explanation is not required under quality control moderation but all efforts will be made to send the Member a message informing them that they have been placed under QC Moderation.
