  1. I think when such people get caught the best punishment for them that the judge should give is they should be made to do seva at the Gurdwara and they should be made to attend classes on Gurmat and Sikh scriptures for at least a year. This way the hate and ignorance will subside and who knows maybe Mahraj might even do kirpa on them.

  2. First thing is that I stopped training it for a good while. Then I'd also apply a hot and cold shower to the troubled area, meaning that I'd put it under hot water for a minute or two and then suddenly switch to cold for a minute or so, then back to hot and so forth. It seemed to help recovery. I can't remember where I picked that tip up from? I'd also gentle massage the area from time to time. Then when I did start to train shoulders again, I started with the lightest weight possible. And stopped if the pain ever got 'weird'. Thing is, when you are really young and train, you can sometimes be real stupid and just carry on training even though you are feeling some funky pains (some macho bull-ish), when you get a bit more wiser you start to realise that 'Hang on! That's actually my body trying to tell me something! I'd better listen!' lol Now, if I feel that twinge of pain that signifies that injury is resurfacing (when training) I stop that exercise right there, and don't carry on with it, giving my shoulders a rest, whereas in the past I might have just carried on - like a right bewakoof. I usually go and do another exercise then.

  3. RSS and missionaries are both enemies. RSS and their sanatanist Sikh allies are trying to Hinduise Sikhi while missionaries and their kala afghanist allies who in reality are atheists are trying to turn Sikhi into a faithless atheistic religion. One is blinded by andh-vishvas while the other lacks vishvas altogather. Lets not ignore one for the other. Both are dangerous threats to our Dharam.

  4. Wow I remember listening to this a few years ago, and couldn't find it. Thank you Inderjit Paji. ?? I like Bhai Jasbir Singh Khalsa. ?? Waheguru

  5. No you are wrong, just a dozen hardcore Sikhs are not interested in watching their videos. He's not the one confronting those men that came up to him themselves to debate. He's doing his normal Parchar in Hyde Park. Why are you so quick to jump to conclusions? Most of the videos do have subtitles, when there are Gurmukhi words. Haven't you noticed the keyword translations? Most of the videos are in English anyways, apart from the India ones, where the audience is familiar with the language that is in the video. Why don't you contact them and suggest your ideas? I'm sure they will be welcoming to listen to feedback.

  6. Totally agree with the above statement. RSS is our external threat while missionaries are our internal threats.

  7. JSinghz bro - yes they are. They are trying to change Sikh principles and Gurbani from the inside. An enemy attacking from outside is very recognizable and RSS hasn't done anything to hurt us yet whereas these missionaries are highly dangerous. They're trying to cause 'permanent' divisions in Sikhi - a direct attack on Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib, Guru Maryada and Bani of our Gurus.

  8. The story goes that it was in the possession of an Udasi. The Udasi gave it to a Nihang telling him that it was written by Guru Gobind Singh Jee. That Nihang then brought it to Punjab in 1805. And even when the Granth arrived in Punjab in 1805 it was not part of Amrit Samagams for decades even after that as we do not find mention of this Granth in puratan literature of Sikhs or even by the British. It is most likely that Nihangs only began including this Granth in Amrit Sanchaars after 1850s when the conquest of Punjab had happened because some Sikh scholars like Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha had studied it and mention it by then. The story of it being written in ancient times by Guru Sahib when they were Dusht Daman. Now Dusht Daman lived during ancient times, like thousands of years ago. Yet the language of Sarbloh Granth is not of thousands of years ago. It is modern, It even contains Farsi and even English word like pistol. So judging from the language it was most likely written by Guru Sahib while they lived as Guru Gobind Singh jee rather than Dusht Daman. I wish more mainstream Sikhs scholars would study this granth and write about it. Nihangs tend to give a mythological twist to any story.

  9. To me it looks like it was only luck that stopped this incident becoming something much more nasty. Thank Waheguru!! Unless the perpetrators were actually purposefully planning to scare rather than kill. But what if some kid was running past when the thing exploded. When I was a kid, we used to be running around the Gurdwara all the time. Anyway, any of us with even half a brain has probably figured out that such things are (sadly) on the cards given the current political climate in the west - mainly as a consequence of their failed 'war on terror'. It's sad, but I have to say: Singhs and Singhnis, brace yourselves, keep strong, we are likely to see all manner of crap out there. We will probably inevitably lose some numbers as a consequence of other people's battles - but let's try and keep our casualties to a minimum. Time to strengthen ourselves up.

  10. Thank you for reminding me about the posture. I forgot about that, I should get my literature out again. Yes I'm pushing for a referral and waiting to hear on it. Thank you for this, but I don't go to gym. It happened whilst I was waking up, tried to be superwoman and thought I could reach my mobile with me sleeping the other way ?? oops.

  11. HSH , We are human and we make mistakes and we make them all the time and we will keep making them until we die, this is what we do. The fact that you have acknowledged your mistakes is a good thing. So what to do next. 1. At amritwella do ardass/benti and list all your mistakes to your Guru. Say them out loud (make sure no one else is listening or you will be in deep dodo) Guru Ji already knows your misdemeanours so there is no shame. After each mistake ask for forgiveness. 2. When all done do jakara and mutha take to charan of Guru Gobind Singh Ji 3. Your mistakes have been forgiven, that is how merciful our Guru Ji is. 4. Do not go into guilt. Move on. You have been forgiven now love your Guru. 5. Make it a part of your ardaas to ask forgiveness of all the mistakes made in the past 24 hours. Once the errors have been forgiven they do not get on your register, if not forgiven then come the day you have to face Dharam Raj then your register will be open and you have to account for all your actions, so best get them forgiven now ! 6. Be happy and stay in chardi kalla, Guru Ji has given you a wonderful janam so be happy and do your naam simran.

  12. the make-up of the body impacts everyone differently and to top it off, we have past karma that control our mandhey karam. everyone makes mistakes, some daily and some less frequently. who is outside of making these mistakes or errors in judgement? well believe it or not only Guru Sahib themselves or a few enlightened individuals on the Planet who take on the complete attributes of Guru Ji and are completely pure. the closer we become these ichaavan disappear and none of this happens of course without kirpa, sometimes we just have to take it on the chin and wait for it or we can do ardas. everyone else is in more or less the same place just to different extents.

  15. I haven't but I had a relative that was referred to one because of back issues. Thing was, he was quite overweight then. It helped him a bit, but I think mostly in getting to understand his problem in biological terms because he found continuing the exercises he was given difficult. His chiropractor told him he had a weak core. Now knowing this information we started training and concentrated on core (i.e. abs and the muscles on the lower back), but with different exercises to the ones the chiropractor suggested and his problem went away (he lost a lot of weight during this time too). I think some problems might arise from having certain supporting muscles being compromised in some way (lack of training them to be strong or injury or just natural weakness in that department) and these can cause problems to occur else where. Like my relative having a weak core mean that his general posture wasn't good and it was this that caused the back issues as a consequence. Once those supporting muscles were strengthened it seemed to sort him right out. I'm having a slight issue with some tendon (I think it is?) that goes from my bicep to half way up my forearm right now. It means that I can't do certain exercises where I have to twist my arm in a certain way (that I could do not long ago), so what i'm doing now is using the lightest weight to exercise that very motion to try and slowly and gradually strengthen that area again. Definitely go and see a chiropractor if you can get a referral - if for nothing else than to get a second opinion on the causes of the problem. If it is muscular, they will suggest exercises to target and strengthen any problem areas. Then you can find other exercises to target that area too and find ones that suit you.

  17. Well said. Because missionaries (English term) are in Sikhi sroop it's more difficult to identify them and hence more dangerous. Btw most of rss bashing is done by missionaries. If you say a word against them (fake missionaries) they will call you someone affiliated to RSS.... messed up

  19. not soft but living according to the laws of the land ...education is foremost weapon in such countries and good liason with local law enforcement so ALL incidents are investigated and perps are caught and dealt with properly. If you feel strongly about beating up people you go ahead and sit in prison unnecessarily , we have laws to protect our rights here in the West. I disagree SIkhs who transgress should be dealt with severely because they know better , ignorance is no defence either in law or in SIkhi . And we should stop bigging up people who have zero sikh values as 'sikhs' like that scummy female article writer who is questioning keeping kesh ... I agreed that we should not be blaming ourselves for such racist incidents but understand that there are MANY people who disagree with our looks, traditions and being in their Countries but that doesn't mean we should apologise for existing . If a racist gets in my face I know what to do but I will not be going on vigilante raids. .

  20. Nishan Sahib also represents freedom. No it's not disrespecting Sikhi. You should be proud that it is flown there. That means they respect it, and thus Sikhi too, if they doing that, doesn't it.You are in Canada Preet ji, if it's affecting you that much, contact Jagmeet Singh, and ask him those questions, as Inderjit Paji says. Meeting karlo koi.,

  21. Unless you're a prophet / Guru / incarnation of God, you are going to make mistakes during life. It's the "curse" of being human. You've acknowledged failings in your past, which is more than 99% of people are capable of, so look to the future, and really give it your all to keep your nose clean and live the "saintly" and unquestionably just life that you feel is best.

  24. All of Sarbloh Granth Sahib jee was written by Guru Gobind Singh Jee in this janam only. Guru Gobind Singh Jee got some SUTRAS at Hazur Sahib which were written in Satyug and these sutras are still in possesion of some family in Hazur Sahib. Guru Jee rewrote these sutras to finish Sri Sarbloh Granth Sahib Jee at Sarbloh Bunga, Hazur Sahib. These sutras were not burried under ground but were given to Guru Sahib in person.

  25. On face value it's a lovely sight to behold. Wait and see I suppose. Yes, you're right about Sikhs getting positive press in Canada. Makes a change from the drug warfare and related nonsense.

  26. If they have any anakh they will not compromise the tenets of Sikhi to fulfil Rajneetak aspirations. Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh are not in the same party, this was initiated by the NDP member. Personally I think it's about time Sikhs got some positive press via Canada even if results in it being short lived. The Nishan Sahib being a symbol of freedom and authority can and has been flown in places other than Dharmic Asthaans, historically it's usually been hoisted on forts after victories like during the misl period, usually though it was a Sikh Battle standard. I see this purely as a symbolic gesture to show the Sikhs are being more readily accepted as an integral part of Canada.

  27. Hardly no media coverage because of racist white privilege in mainstream western media. To counter this all news editors who didnt cover this story should be found out and name and shamed publicly on social media. Then we will ahve change and progress in equality of coverage and treating these incidents as terrorism. And my hunch on motives is that it was a race hate white german neo-nazi terrorist who hates muslims and assumed sikhs are muslims but didnt mind if they werent muslims because they were non-white it%2

  28. I still remember when there was just one story: udasi-nihang-1805. Slowly the story tellers are getting more imaginative embelishing the narrative adding that it was written thousands of years ago where it was burried underground(even though paper cannot last underground for so long). The oral tradition story tellers should have said it was found in a cave because that would have been more believable since the cave would have protected the granth much like the dead sea scrolls were protected. Now I am hearing of new oral traditions of famous Shaheeds also writing copies of the Sarbloh Granth in Punjab. ਗੱਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਦ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਆ I'm all for Sarbloh Granth but adding unrealistic mythology and ਗੱਪਾਂ to the narrative will only serve to discredit the Granth. What we need are GurSikh academics to thoroughly study the Granth and its history and come to a realistic conclusion.
