degradation of kirtan

It's true that Gurbani does say

har ka bilovunah bilovo meray bhaee ||

sehaj bilovo jasay tuth na jaaee ||

However Gurbani also does say..

kabeer kaeso kaeso kookeeai n soeeai asaar ||

raath dhivas kae kookanae kabehoo kae sunai pukaar

In this shabad is clearly saying that we should be yelling/screaming to Waheguru. Kookeeai is equal to yelling. Before you head off to Sikhitothemax and make a quick search let me save you the trouble as the translation does not say yelling. However, I suggest you look at the following thukh "oochae kookehi vaadhaa gaavehi jodhhaa kaa veechaar" as well. (Just so we don't have any misunderstandings )

I personally think that we are not to judge the relationship that someone makes/haves with Guru Sahib or Waheguru.

We all know that Guru Sahib has compared Himself as a friend, mother, father, husband to his Gursikhs. However I make my "rishtaa" with Guru Sahib is up to me. We all know of various different Sants and Pooran Gursikhs who achieved muktee, but not ALL used the same method. The one thing that all had was a LOVE for Waheguru. How they expressed that was what differed.

Yes no doubt...it's their personal business..but it becomes everybody business the way it's said in Guru Maharaj Hazoori and Sangat because then you are not following Individualistic maryada but you are following panthik maryada. !

Note: I got no problem with Individualistic maryada but one should not bring individiualistic maryada in Panthik maryada.

Whether anyone wants to believe it or not, the one SGPC has on their website, www.sgpc.net is panthic marayada, merely for the reason that Akal Takht has chosen this to be the one to enforce. Now, that doesnt' mean u can't follow group A's marayada, or group B's, as long as it doesn't interfere with the SGPC marayada. This is fact, accept it. The marayada is on the fence with alot of things, it isn't that tough to follow. That being said. This is an open challenge to Akaal. Show me in the marayada where it says the only type of kirtan you can do is raag. You will have to link to the appropriate section.

i jsut wana get one thing straight... r u only against that specific file ? Ive heard people going out of control in some smagams... can you comment on such other cases (specifically maybe bhai manpreet singh etx...) ... where the kirtan gets intense and the simran is just WOW... and the sangat in the back takes over...

What are your comments on that ... simple answer ji... do you agree with that or no ??? Is that also your base of your point???

Dhan Dhan Siri Guru Granth Sahib has said it ... biggest maryada of maryada..! :T:

One does not need to look sgpc/tat-khalsa/sanatan/puratan.

Yes i m against that specific file..that's why you didn't see me bringin groups/people/jatha/samagams into this.
