It is with great shame and saddness I have to show the sangat this news link

Sohan Singh Samra Vice President of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall, has opposed Khalistan in the Indian/Hindu Propaganda news report below. It is ironic that this commitee headed by Gurmail Malhi -Sher Party who won by a margin of 3 votes on a so called Panthic Agenda have now chosen to join in the very same propaganda which is trying to destroy the Sikh Movement in the West and is trying to move the Youth away from the truth of how Sikhs as a nation are slaves of India.

Samra claims to be concerned and says the govt should take strict measures.

It is ironic that up until now cracks have appeared in their so called Panthic agenda, a giant Photo of

Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was stuck up on to a wall in the langar of Singh Sabha Havelock by the sangat (paid for by sangat) a few weeks back and that caused the commitee to get upset and it is reported one commitee member did say that this is not a 'Khalistani Gurdwara'.

I would also like to address the Sikh Federation not in relation to this but to ask them has a decsision been made by the commitee for the installation of the plaque to commemorate 1984,as at the conference done by SGGS Southall in June time they said they will 'decide' on it after a so called meeting as of yet no results have come.

Samra should be ashamed of himself for appearing in this news report and immediatley apologise to the sangat and Sikhs for taking part in this propaganda of the Indian State against Sikhs. Why are they doing this propaganda - as they knw Sikhs and youngsters are awakening in the UK so they make these stupid reports in which so called leaders of Gurdwareh appear to give interviews in their suits.

Almost all the youth of Singh Sabha Southall support Khalistan and the movememnt for freedom and justice who is Samra to talk on behalf of london Sikhs.

Has he forgotten appx over 20 coaches left from Southall to go to the biggest 1984 Freedom Rally since 84 ?

Has he forgotten the scenes in trafalgar sq

as seen in these videos

People around here hoped for a new fresh commitee which started off good but now has gone and done this along with other things which I won't mention just yet -.

I would like a response from sangat on this issue we all know support for the movement is growing at a fast rate ,just the other day in London over 300 Sikh Youngsters took part in the 1984 Shaheedi 5 A Side Football Tournament in which during a speech, every single person all youths replied to a Jakarah of Khalistan with Zindabad pictures and posters of Shaheed Sant Bhindranwale and other shaheeds flew off the stalls along with t shirts and free dvds on the Sikh Movement and this was in Southall 48 hrs ago,Samra should get his facts right beofre appering in propaganda like this

Sohan Singh Samra Vice President of Sri guru singh sabha...thats not what u was sayin before u was elected!

Looks like this current committee is starting to walk on the same anti-khalistani path as the previous.

After all their promises of supporting the Khalistan notion before they got elected.

This looks like a betrayal.

What have they got to say in response to this?

Sangat should demand an immediate response from comittee about the comments made by samra in the video.

Few years ago Himmat singh sohi was held accountable for his actions when he attended the RSS ceremony, and he was forced to give a speech to sangat and apologized to the sangat.

This time, Sohan singh Samra in a similar fashion must be forced to address the sangat regarding his comments.

I give a Vote of No Confidence in the current Singh Sabha Southall leadership.

Is everyone naive or just plain stupid !!! The current committee is made up of "businessmen " who have massive finanacial interests in Panjab . These "Panthic " people wine and dine ALL politicians including Badal . How the hell did anyone really think they are Panthic, more like pathetic.

The current committe in Southall always has the same phrase to get rid of people , " we will talk about it in the meeting ".Maybe its time for the youth to make it clear to these Brahmins in dastars that its time for a change, its time for every Guru Gobind Singh Ji's lions to roar at the doorsteps of the traitors and show them we will not be subdued by their ill gotten riches and gundas.

Let these Giddars (jackals ) know that the lions will only roar for a while and then if they dont change their policy or step down these lions will go on the hunt..!

Well this Samra guy and anyone else in the commitee who supprts him are very wrong if they believe there is no supprot for Khalitsn they need a reality check including Malhi himself, not to mentoin the numerous meetings with officials from the congress party openly at Both Gurdwareh.

I believe even speaking to a party such as the congress,is akin to a Jewish Synagouge inviting a guy from the Nazi Party to talk, the previous commitee used to chat to the RSS and so on and attend their meetings ,this ones chatting up Congress whats the difference none.

Sama should think about how we the youth and sangat feel for a so called leader of our Gurdwara appearing in a news report ridiculing and insulting the Sikh Qoum as well as Movement and YET this very commitee who won buy a mere marjin of 300 votes due to a bad rainy day as well as Jaswant Thekadar putting a party up which took some votes - claimed and still claim to be PANTHIC.

Commitee members holding a Sikh Camp does not make you Panthic, this stunt of yours has undone your so called Panthic work,

and would they care to explain why they had major rejections towards the Huge Photo of Shaheed Sant Bhindranwale in the langar hall inside Havelock?Gurdwara didn't pay for it the sangat bought it and stuck it up themselves even though the commitee said 'no' in front of them it was stuck up.

Sikh Federation UK i would like a reply on the issue of the memorial plaque which they promised to 'discuss' before giving the go ahead to install.

What would the consequences be for the Gurudwara if they openly supported Khalistan? I think you shouldn't read too much into politicians' statements - they say different things to different people.

Another thing to think about, as mentioned above, is - did Sant Jarnail Singh Ji ever ask for Khalistan? Their picture is still up at both Gurudwaras and the "Never Forget '84" poster is up as well. Some of the youth who do sewa there are ex-SP and very pro Khalistan and don't have any issues doing programs etc.

Some of you are being used by useless politicians who only want Khalistan for their own benefit. Ask them if they even keep Nitnem or what time they wake up in the mornings.

    • Part of the problem is the hostilities between India and Pakistan. If the border were open, Amritsar would easily become a huge trading city. Secondly, the National Highways Authority of India is constructing a new 6-lane expressway from Kashmir, through Amritsar/Jalandhar/Ludhiana to Dehli which will be part of the Ludhiana-Delhi-Kolkatta Industrial Corridor.  Maps of the New Silk Road show Kolkata as a key part of the "road". The Punjab to Kolkata expressway and rail connections will fulfill the ability to hook up to the New Silk Road.  In addition, while crossing to Pakistan via AH1 (Asian Highway 1) is difficult, India does connect to AH1 on the other side, towards the East. Finally, Punjab can trade with the world via Mundra port in Gujurat. Rail to Mundra, then sea onwards. Dubai is very close with a free port. If you send products to Iran, there are ground links onward to Europe.
    • Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. Gurbani isn't a 1428 page rulebook, like Leviticus or the Vedas: ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਾਪ ਬੀਚਾਰਦੇ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਤਤੈ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ The Simritis and Shastras discriminate between charity and sin, but know not the essence of the Real Thing. Without the Guru, they know not the essence of the Reality, know not the essence of the Reality. Anand Sahib.
    • You're confusing two different things: One is merely adding starch to a turban to get a certain feel to the fabric. The other is tying your turban once and taking it off like a hat. It is this that people have a problem with. What's wrong with it is that Rehit says to tie your turban afresh every time. If you ask, "Where is that written?", it's written in Bhai Nand Lal ji's Rehitnama. @ipledgeblue didn't just make it up. Umm, no, bro. We're not evangelical Christians like President George W Bush of the US claiming to "talk to God" who told him to invade Iraq. "Speaking to him directly" basically ends up being doing whatever you feel like with the excuse that Guru ji told you to do it. If you still want to take your turban off like a hat, feel free to do so, but don't claim that it's Rehit.
    • You don't need to wear either a pag or dumalla in the gym. You can simply wear a meter or 1.5m small turban (gol pagg or round turban). It doesn't come off.
    • The reason you don't see anything wrong with it is because like a fish in water, you grew up in Western culture and imbibed it fully. It's very difficult to for parents to inculcate traditional culture while in the West. The reason there is a problem is because a kiss between a man and wife is a sexual act (I didn't say it's coitus, but it's still sexual.) By contrast a kiss between a mother and a child, for example, is not sexual. And in our culture, sexual acts are not allowed in public. Goras do allow it. And that's also the reason they have gay pride parades now with people walking around naked with children in attendance and so forth.
