Without the Guru, there is pitch darkness and without the Guru, understanding is obtained not.

Gur bin suraṯ na siḏẖ gurū bin mukaṯ na pāvai.

Without the Guru, man can obtain not divine comprehension and success, and, without the Guru, he is blessed not with emancipation. ?

Gur kar sacẖ bīcẖār gurū kar re man mere.

Come thou into the Guru's fold, yea, my soul, come thou into the Guru's fold for the true reflection of the Lord.

ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਸਪੁੰਨ ਅਘਨ ਕਟਹਿ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੇ ॥

गुरु करु सबद सपुंन अघन कटहि सभ तेरे ॥

Gur kar sabaḏ sapunn agẖan katėh sabẖ ṯere.

Adopt thou the Guru, who is embellished with the Name, so that all thy sins may be washed off.

Yes they do waheguru jap for more than 10 hours a day daily
However the powers are useless to a Gursikh as you are not supposed to use them without waheguru s hukam. I remember reading a thread where someone did simran for these powers and misused them. He could not do simran more than 10 hours without falling sick. It is important to do simran with the correct objective in mind and not direct our bhagti to satisfy our curiosities. God's house is overflowing with blessings. Let us pray for nimarta and uchi mat so that when his grace showers on us and we are able to engage in simran for long hours we are able to control our minds from tricking us leading to our accumulated amrit seeping away and harm coming to our bodies.

Dear Guest

Can you please tell me how to be with siddhi experience when it happens. I have meditated for many years. My teacher has passed on now. He was Sikh. I am Australian and don't understand Indian words. I have some siddhi experiences some times, for less than a second. In daily life not so much in meditation, though last time it happened when I was meditating. I understand not to focus on them. They are fun and interesting though. What would a master/guru tell me about these experiences? What guidance would he give. I want to progress truely and with a pure heart.
