None! Since we don't have our own country so we don't need to take sides and make unnecessary enemies.

-Jewish vs Muslims -Christians vs Muslims -Hindus vs Muslims -Shia vs Sunni no need for us to get involved in any of these. Sikhs should just remain neutral and seize any opportunity that presents

And if you think about it based on historical perspectives, we had a sovereign Khalsa Raj when we didn't meddle in the affairs of others. The Marathas, Afghans, Mughals were entangled in a web of clas

Gaza City (CNN) -- The Israeli military said Thursday that it is calling up 16,000 additional reservists, bolstering its forces for its fight against Hamas in Gaza after a request for more ammunition from the United States.

The addition brings the total number of reservists Israel has called up since the beginning of the operation against Hamas to 86,000, a military spokeswoman said.

The conflict has killed more than 1,300 people in Gaza, most of them civilians. Fifty-six Israeli soldiers have been killed.

The incessant attacks and counterattacks are taking a terrible toll on Gazans.

More than 219,000 Palestinians are packed into 86 shelters across Gaza, the U.N. said. That equals about 12% of all of Gaza's population.

Clean water is inaccessible for most. And some 3,600 people have lost their homes.

India did their dirty deeds and moved on and the world cared not for their deeds.

Isreal, it seems, is about to move on after doing their dirty deeds.

So what have we learned ?

1) We've finally understood why the rest of the world has not been as moved as we are about the murdering of children and mothers by a 'democracy'.

2) We've learned that some, if not most (judging by this forum) Sikhs approve of the tactic of wiping out the existence of a troublesome minority so that 'their' problem won't exist.

3) We've learned that we are that troublseome minority as far as India is concerned.

4) We have not learned how the Indian Army were, in 1984,(whilst indira was still alive) issued with combat guidelines that described every Sikh (i.e amritdhari and kirpan wearing) as an "enemy of the state (the sate of India) thus worthy of being shot at sight.

5) We have learned nothing about how that dehumanisation of us led to what Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch call the 'deaths of a quarter of a million' of Sikhs.

5) We have not learned how the above is relative to our relationship with the Palestinians (as if our relationship as fellow human bengs wasn't enough)

6) We learned about how how a despaaerate people can fire a thousand dud missles without any firepower and the world will call those desperate people terrorists.

7) We learned how Americans, through their media, were not told that not more than 6 of those missles had actually ever landed in Isreal (thanks to the tax dollars of the average American who is suffering already far more than we know)....i.e thanks to the American funded shield.

8) We learned how murdering 2000 Palestinian civilians in resoonses to missiles that never had a chance to getting to you in the first place was the "correct" response.

And yet here we are. The western educated Sikh diaspora. Some of us ( Not I ) have good jobs, good houses and good careers. Some of us, when we get a chance, ask people why they don't care about our suffering as Sikhs where a 'supposed' democracy launched an inhuman attck on us. And then, we turn around and support a 'democracy' that launches an inhuman assault on another group of people that just happen not to be us.

Its make up your mind time.

Are we the killers ?

Or the sufferers ?

Firing missiles is not an act of desperation, it is an act of hostility. Nothing less.

It's very simple, stop firing rockets and isreal will stop raining bombs.

Are we the killers ?

Or the sufferers ?

We are not the killers, it their "god" and the words of their "prophet" who encourages them to attack and kill the jews. no muslim would want to face thier god or prophet knowing that he hadn't sacrificed himself for trying to acheive this "god's" orders on killing jews.

their god and prophet are the killers, and the ones who have any faith in it whatsoever are the sufferers.

ask people why they don't care about our suffering as Sikhs where a 'supposed' democracy launched an inhuman attck on us. And then, we turn around and support a 'democracy' that launches an inhuman assault on another group of people that just happen not to be us.

Their situation is not a mirror image of ours, it is very different.

Dont care either way to be honest

I've noticed that sentiment alot here on this forum among 'Sikhs'.

But why ?

I'm intrigued because when our history books tell us about Apartheid I always wondered how much better the world would be if we Sikhs had power during those South African times. I always felt how Sikhs would have made a stand.

Even non-Sikhs question how their fathers and grandfathers lived happily through a life in which apartheid in South Africa occurred without taking a stand. But, if history teaches us just one thing it is the fact that history teaches us nothing at all.

So how will our children and our children's children judge us ?

They'll ask you why you were silent when a group of people, simply because of their ethnicity, were herded into a tiny strip of land, blockaded and seiged so that no one in the world could do business with them.......you took their WATER away from them and then sold it back to them at a price (which they couldn't afford anyway because they were blockaded and seiged)....(google not only Gaza'a water crisis but also how Isreal's water company is stealing it).....you built a giant 'Berlin' wall to keep them from entering and earning a living (bearing in mind they were seiged and blockaded)........In desperation, and in common sense, they threw whatever they had at their disposal at you. What they actualy threw at you were 20 and 30 year old used rockets without any warheads but whether or not they had warheads didn't matter anyway because the Americans had paid for a Trillion dollar shield to stop these non-lethal sub-standard rockets landing anyway.

They (your children and your children's children) will ask why you were silent when the apartheid regime used those non-existent rockets as an excuse to blatantly and cold-boodedly massaacre 2000 civilians including children.

The history books tell it. And they tell it so well.

When this middle east conflict is over the history books will tell it. And they will tell it so well. If you wish to be able to look your grandchildren in the eye with any moral and ethical authority I suggest you change your way of thinking right now.

They will ask you why you 'didn't care'.

WLS

I wonder how our children would feel about this Islamic appeasement in the decades to come.

The problem with us Sikhs (at least most of us) is that we do have an instinctive understanding of the muslim psyche and we instinctively understand that the Israel-Palestine is not really a land issue, it is really a Islamic supremacist issue.

What do you think will happen if there is a two state solution, do you really think it will end there?

If we Sikhs are showing indifference here, at least we are being consistent because there are plenty of genocides hapoening in Iraq, Syria, there was a massive genocide in Rwanda, Darfur, we kept out out of it.

All the people who are wailing about Gaza are very selective about their outrage, because they have not shown any outrage of any other genicides that have taken place.

Basically abrahmics are nutters. The sooner we convert the lot of them to Sikhi or other eastern faiths the less likely they will go to war over silly things like they are the "chosen people" and thus have to fight their enemies until "judgement day"

These christian, jewish and muslim morons will never want peace and co-exist especially the Muslims and Jews unless their kids are brainwashed with other ideologies.

Anyways Sikhs should fully support palestians as fellow human beings it is the victim of israeli zionist barbarism but shouldn't support any islamist cause we should make that very clear

What a drama queen!

If any Sikh kids ask me in the future, I will tell them straight, that I was too busy trying to help correct the problems in our OWN panth to be be worrying about war-mongerers attacking other countries and then getting a tough reply. I would not need to justify myself to them either.

So how will our children and our children's children judge us ?

If they are going to judge us on anything, it will be on how (if it happens) we let Sikh down so much and possibly how we let our Sikh heritage in Pakistan turn to dust. Not about paletsinains fighting isrealis.

They (your children and your children's children) will ask why you were silent when the apartheid regime used those non-existent rockets as an excuse to blatantly and cold-boodedly massaacre 2000 civilians including children.

I will tell them, I wasn't silent, I just didn't have time for peopel who threaten other peoples lives by continously firing explosives at them.

When this middle east conflict is over the history books will tell it. And they will tell it so well. If you wish to be able to look your grandchildren in the eye with any moral and ethical authority I suggest you change your way of thinking right now.

you can keep this ethical and moral authority thanks. I will be abler to (assuming im still alive) be able to look at them with absolutely no regret, about this middle east rubbish.

Better still, hopefully they wont turn out like you, and focus on issues then concurrent in the Sikh Panth. I would really hate it, if my grandkids were running around on some "palestinians are victims" tip, if the SIkh Panth was besieged with problems in their generation, as it is now.
