Painting of Aurangzeb from 1687   so the painting was done during his life time. Loot at Aurangzebs skin tone and look at the skin tone of the people carrying him.  These foreign invasions definitely influenced how Indians started seeing dark skin and light skin

A lot of them do. He wrote like 99 copies of the Quran i think and waged war/jihad against the non believers. He re introduced the sharia law into india and started taxing non muslims like a muslim ruler is expected to. He banned music and also persecuted shias and sufis. He was like the perfect Muslim ruler in their eyes
