What we already know is now so official even the Hindus can't deny it although the India loving Sikhs will still erase it from their mind. Some of them (India supporting Sikhs) still hang on to outdated notions of the position of a Sikh, not realising what the reality actually is. For example, they often like to quote these 3 misconcptions: Misconception: Punjab is the richest state in India. We're doing great there. If Sikhism is ever to spread beyond the 20 million Punjabis who are Sikhs then Sikhism will have to change dramatically. For example, the discarding of the archaic beard and turban will be a major step in marketing the Sikh faith. Since the vast majority of people around the world (including Sikhs) do not wear beards and turbans Sikhism will be in a great spot to get rid of them permanently. Besides, why would anyone interested in becoming a Sikh want to wear them anyway??????? :rolleyes:

This is for those who may be interested, I have had the opportunity to write a number of books recently, initially they were for sponsors of the podcasts but due to demand I have decided to put some of them out on a self publication site. Slowly they will increase in number with the Sarkutavali Teeka and Gagar Cho sagar also being added in June and August respetively. A broad question We all know that Reincarnation and Karma are complex and the results of current and past lives. Hello Sangat Ji, In a certain baani, reading from translations, while waheguru was being praised in the baani there was a line in which it said you(waheguru) birthed yourself from an egg. I have been searching the net and I am come accross some subjects on the issue of marriage between Sikhs and non-Sikhs. I wanted to ask an abstract question. If you were a devout bapitized Sikh and your daughter who is currently visiting you during school break comes home with a young non-Sikh man who you assume to be her friend suddenly announces during dinner that she is love with him and wants to get married after she graduates, what would your reaction be?????????????

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras.
