I have seen many so called sikhs in my town Salt Lake City who do beadbi of SGGS ji at their home.I have seen many eating meat, drinking, cussin day and night in the same home they kept SGGS ji in. Sometimes I think of going there and telling them to be in rehit but most of umm are cut hair (all of umm infact, except one) and they r kinda older than me so I feel that they wont listen to me. But it really hurts me seeing my Guru ji in such a state and I feel very bad by just thinking about it. WHAT SHUD BE DONE??????

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. Is it right for a Gurudwara Commitee to suspend and barr a Granthi Sahib ji from doing his seva at the Gurudwara? A Granthi Sahib ji has been banned and suspended for 21 days from doing seva in Rochester, England. He has been doing seva there for 18 years and is well respected in the surrounding communities. The commitee banned and suspended him because of speaking too loud and doing seva that they didn't want him to do e.g not to book Akhand Pathas and programs for the sangat. They speak to him with no respect and they dishonour our Religion. In my point of view Waheguru Ji comes first, then its our Guru ji the Guru Gra…

25th of July saw the Sikh Youth of UK taking a stance against the extremist group Al-Muhajiroun. Despite fears of violence these youth stood in the mist of Trafalgar Square and proclaimed to all that “We are Sikh, British & Proud!”. The sea of blue dastaars made the Sikhs presence stand out in the Square. The onlookers knew the Sikhs came for a peaceful demonstration and were openly discussing with them how to rid society of groups that tarnish communities and spread hatred against the principles of humanity. The public were amazed by the principles the Sikh Gurus stood for and were bowled over with the love for humanity Sikhi preaches. The literature being handed …

Waheguru Ji Ke Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh!!! I am not here to cause any trouble or anything but I have found of something that I thought should be brought to the Sikh Sangats attention...I have come to learn some gursikhs whose names I know but I am not going to mention are signing a petition against a bibi who ties a keskhi but is not amritdari...the people who are behind this petition claim that the bibi ji who ties the keskhi is not planning to get attain amrit...however I have not seen or heard any evidence like this....my personal view is that if the bibi is tying a keshki she is obviously going to attain amrit soon and i dont we should stop her but encourage ho…

This special display of Sikh manuscripts and drawings highlights the legacy of the first Guru of the Sikh faith, Guru Nanak (1469-1539) and the heritage of the Khalsa or the Sikh Brotherhood. Through these beautiful items, discover more about Guru Nanak’s teachings, how the Sikhs were roused to militancy by the Mughal regime in India in the 17th century and how this uprising led to the formation of the Khalsa – the community of Sikh warriors – in 1699. This display marks the launch of Britain’s national Anglo-Sikh Heritage Trail. For more information see http://www.asht.info Tuesday 24 August, 18.15: The Heritage of the Khalsa, a free talk by Jasleen Kandhari. No bo…

hey don't tell me search the topic first...i got new perspective after listening to explanation of japji sahib by sant singh ji maskin...... hehehehe. indeed it is difficult to say who is god, how much there is of him, etc, etc, as is said in japji sahib. i am beginning to think that god is like physics. the earth, sun, moon, stars, planets, everything is in its place because that's how they work--->its a maryaada. like a law. likewise, everything on earth happens according to laws of nature or whatever. nothing is in our hands. we cannot say that we did something. no. everything is being done, everything is happening, but i don't do anything. god makes everything h…
